Dang, not only is shE talented but she is a very gorgeous woman
Love to see it 👏👏👏
A comedy bit by David Nihill lead me to search this out. Congratulations Morgan for following your passion and living the dream ! We need more cultures joining and moving forward! A huge portion of the world has some Irish heritage. I’m a 1/4 Irish and admire your talent.
Same!!!!
many people have learned about this young lady, thanks to mr nihill. ;-)
Same here!!
So did I
Same!!❤
I'm Irish & I cannot dance like this! Makes me very proud seeing Morgan showcasing her awesome talent. I hope I see her in a Riverdance show one day!
Fair play to her and the next Chinese, American Indian, Japanese, Swedish, Arabic young Irish dancer that wants to fulfil their dreams 🍀 Céad míle fáilte deirfiúr 💟
Cultural Appropriation is only OK if it done against whites in your view I assume?
Yes please, more of this.
As long as white folks don’t play jazz. That’s not “appreciation”. Right? It’s cultural theft according to them.
I’m half black and I learned Irish step dancing. Most Irish step class’ wouldn’t allow me to enter back in the day.
But I had a teacher who did!! So I understand her situation. I learned when I was 13. I’m 37 now and still practice around my house
I want to learn. I’m half black as well and I also have Irish ancestry, technically on both sides. Anyway, I’m going to try, maybe a learn one step, lol. Glad you had a teacher that did let you enter. It’s crazy how other dances were used by others, this one should be too.
That is awesome!!
@@HilaryIsOkayssss you totally should! It’s fantastic sport and art with a lot of complexity to it that’s really fun to learn about and do. Also a great way to make friends from all over. There are a lot of non-white dancers out there right now, which those actually in the Irish dancing community embrace and love to see! It’s a point of pride of Irish dancers that people of all different backgrounds are embracing our sport.
There’ve been many POC dancers that have become amazing Irish dancers, including World Champions Drew Lovejoy, Elliot Kwelele, and Julia O’Rourke among them so you won’t be alone
Aren’t you stealing someone’s culture?
@@Grundig305why would you say that ? You don't know here ancestry. My paternal grandmother was born in Ireland and my paternal grandfather was born in the Dominican Republic (Hispanic) my maternal grandfather were both part Indigenous American Indian and part Black American, so who has the right to tell any of us about theft of culture? I don't look white but I loved and was loved by my Irish grandma ,in fact she had 27 grandchildren and I'm the only one who was named for her,so would I be stealing if I learned how to dance in honor of my grandma's culture or would I be honoring her just as this young woman is honoring Irish dancers and the culture. If White kids are dancing "hip hop" style or ,Black and Brown kids dance ballet or those of us who look Black but have a grandparent who belongs to one of the First Nation, should we not honor, enjoy, respect and love the culture. Culture should be shared, maybe the more we know the more we learn and the fewer people will be asking " is she stealing someone else's culture?!"
So happy for her, grow up world....talent is talent
You go girl! Don't let anything or any one hold you back! I hope your talent brings you success in life.
God bless you. I am a recent widow. I'm a Caucasian woman who thinks you are a great Irish dancer. Don't ever be discouraged with all the negative people and there negative comments. I know so many people are proud of what you have accomplished keep on paying the luv forward you have such a great gift to make people happy. What a beautiful thing to do. Like I said before God bless you and always be happy and true to yourself lots of luv and success sincerely Lori ❤️🙏☘️🦋🇺🇸🇺🇦🇮🇱
She’s so beautiful! I remember the first time I saw River Dance. I was in awe. Proud of her for following her dream and ignoring the haters.
Outstanding and very proud of you.
You are amazing tbh I remember growing up with loving Irish dancing I learned about Irish dancing from my music teacher in kindergarten #Ms Honeycutt she was a Irish dancer and amazing also show the class her early days even though it was part of her culture it open us up to other dancing she even took us on a field trip to see different dance styles . I said this to say you are just amazing keep it up
Morgan, you are a phenomenal talent. I love watching you dance!
What a beautiful personality
Good for her. We need to remember that any criticism can be made by anyone, anywhere, from the luxury of their couch. In other words, who cares what people say. Wonderful to see you embrace that culture. We are honored to have you here showing us your talent. Be proud.
like all the white jazz musicians who have been playing jazz since the early 1920's.
I LOVE IT !
THANK YOU MORGAN!
So proud of you young lady -- go and show the world what you've got!! I plan on catching Riverdance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC in a few weeks!!

All love, power to her. Beautiful girl, ugly world.
She’s amazing and so cute. Just dance girl!
She's incredible-looking.
Came here after watching David Nihil's Cultural Appreciation. Morgan, good for you!
Same!!!!
You are amazing!!!
Go girl. Live your dream.
It is such utter nonsense to accuse anyone of cultural appropriation when they so obviously LOVE the culture and the art. Imbeciles who have no clue what they are talking about. I was amazed and delighted to see Japanese pipe bands and Japanese Highland dancers performing in Tokyo and was so proud that they loved my culture enough to spend a great deal of their precious time learning and mastering difficult skills.
This isn’t cultural appropriation, it’s just cross-culturalization. We don’t have to be scared of cultures merging.
Bravo! You are magnificent!!!
GODDESS ❤
Big UPs Virginia!!! RIchmond!!!!
I'm irish and I never look at skin colour we are all gods children good luck to you young lady and blessings from Ireland 🇮🇪
I just saw her in the show in south bend along with a Asian and two black tap dancers,,,I was so proud to see the diversity finally,,I have hope we’ll get where we to be one day,,bravo young lady
The two black tap dancers were in Riverdance from the very beginning, along with Russian and Spanish dancers.
I expect her to become a lead dancer, and soon.
Her video is the reason i like lindsey stirling. 1 of her vids had lindsey stirling somg and i liked it. Been a fan ever since
Good on her! Love cultural appreciation. People should be left in peace to do what they enjoy regardless of who they are and what they look like. All this appropriation stuff is so stupid I don't even have words for it.
❤ live your dream baby! It's not appropriation half of the AA population have Irish DNA😂😂. I guess no one else should do most of American dance o' especially at the Olympics 🤣🤣
Beautifup dancer. I remember seeing her videos during covid. I just hope she can honor the role models she did have growing up, in the dancers that she feels didn't look like her? In dancing, we don't care about differences. We care about dancing ❤. And we appreciate hard working dancers especially bc they expand what we thought was possible. If she is referring to her darker skin tone or ethnicity as her reason for feeling she didn't have a role model in dancing, that's just sad that her mind takes her there. There are different gene pools that dance at the irish dancing world championships and they'e all amazing. There are always going to be negative nancy's in life, on any topic. Not just dancing:). Don't waste a breath on that. Hopefully, someday we can all just stop making things about our slightly different genetics and something as shallow as skin colour. Dance On!
Good on her! Love cultural appreciation. People should be left in peace to do what they enjoy regardless of who they are, where they were born, what their heritage is and what they look like. All this appropriation stuff is so stupid I don't even have words for it.
People when the casting director of a world famous dance troupe like riverdance actively encourages someone to try out you do it no question. It doesn't matter what race or skin color you👏 do👏it👏no👏regrets 👏
There are black Irish people who live in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Irish aren't Black
David Nihill lead me to here,
Absolute mugs accusing her of cultural appropriation
That is not a thing. Leave her alone dafties
Well I'm here cause of David Nihill
Every time someone in America throws cultural appropriation out there, I think, do you know where you are? There’s almost NOTHING here that isn’t the result of cultures mixing, blending or colliding. Everything from music, to religion to food is the mix. Even when we’re bumping heads, there’s an exchange.
I don't understand the cultural appropriation thing like every human being that wants to dance any kind of dance should be able to I've seen white people do African dancing and Native American dancing at pow wows. So what's the big deal for a Black woman doing Irish dancing? She's good at it and being respectful ain't nothing wrong with that!
Honestly, nothing. The problem is most of the crazy woke people along with the media would scream "cultural approriation" at seeing the first two you said because woke people see all white people as the devil incarnate (which I have always found strange considering most of them are white) and the media loves to make money off of things that shouldn't be controversial in this day and age. We live in a ridiculous world where a white person wearing a Sombrero on May 5th because they are a great hat for keeping the sun off you, is the equivalent of whipping a Hispanic person and then spitting on them.
And yes, I know Sombrero is Spanish for hat.
If people did a DNA test they may be surprised why she was drawn to this. We have big percentages of Scottish Irish and English. By osmosis of course b
Many Caribbean blacks have Irish ancestory due to their mutual enslavement by the British. Jamaican Culture is heavily influenced by the Irish especially
🫀🖖🏻
I don’t like the “first black dancer” she is just a great dancer and shouldn’t be given special/different treatment. She is talented enough to do it on her own.
Color has NOTHING to do with it
SKILL ... well enough said
How many people have figured out that she has an Irish surname? 🙄
It's Anglo Saxon.
@@celtichound9889 I stand corrected. Thank you.
@@celtichound9889 Teaching the kids!
WE KNWWS A LOT MORE TALENTED BLACK HARDWORKING LAW A BIDEING PEOPLE LIKE MORGAN IN IRELAND BUT SENT THE TUGS BACK HOME
???
Yeah, no.
Learn your history, us black folks are the base for Irish people. WE started that dance
Source?
Where did you get that information from?
Trying to take credit for others work?
10/10 for consistency......
Technically it cultural Appropriation
It most certainly is not.
Anybody can perform every kind of dancing, everybody can perform any kind of music.
@@cal205It's cultural appropriation don't be a virtue signalling hypocritic it's Irish culture not a multi racial culture.
Shes not irish
Why are young generation? Why are they so obsessed about what you look like? I’m 52 years old I’ve never met anyone. Who looks like me I don’t need to meet someone who looks like me to appreciate or love myself. Who cares it’s not what’s on the outside it was on the inside. We have totally ruined a young generation we’re going backwards.
Cultural appropriation
There’s a huge difference between appreciation and appropriation. There are lots of white people on the internet hip-hop dancing and dancing Afrobeats (African dance). Do you see them as also cultural appropriating?
@@TheCeciD I was joking
Hahaha what an idiotic suggestion. Even you may dance any way you like, though probably not as well as this talented’ beautiful lady.
@@cal205 it was a joke
