Another tip....you can use the marinade to soak your chicken too. It gives the chicken another dimension. Misoyaki chicken! goes so good with rice.....

Is it normal for black cod to have stronger fish smell? picked up a whole fish at my local Costco and packaging said "fresh" with today's date, I know some fish have that tendency to get the fishy smell even not long after it has been dispatched.
So sorry for the late response! It does have a bit of a fishy smell, but the amazing thing is after it marinates for 2 or 3 days and then bakes, there's no fishy taste at all (at least that's what we think). We hope you enjoy (or enjoyed) it!! Keep us posted!

What temp did you bake them at?
Hi there! We baked them (after searing them in a hot skillet) at 400°F for about 8 to 10 minutes. Hope this helps!

Hi Paul! This dish is really good with salmon, too! It's not melt-in-your-mouth as much as black cod is, but, still very yummy!
