As a visually-impaired creator - I REALLY appreciate the effort you took to label each side with actual braille. Thank you 💛👨🏻🦯
Braille pity that's all that appears to excite you. I would tell the difference with a raise L or R. Tell me what they sound like compared to say a pair of similar priced named headphones, & comfort after 2 hrs then build construction. That's what really matters.
I ordered a pair today after watching several reviews including Booth Junkies that sold me. I have a $40 pair of headphones that were causing ear fatigue. Some suggested another competitor (BD) but the price and fit didn’t seem worth it. The NTH-100 came out of left field as in I was not expecting these. I’ve been using the RodeCaster Pro since 2019 and know that quality is not an issue with Rode. I look forward to trying these out. Thanks!
WOW - I've never seen so much innovation in any other headphones. The cable input on either cup is a simple but welcome example of the attention to detail. And price wise they sit nicely around (or below) the price of several other popular pro choices, but with more impressive design elements. I'm really keen to check these out in person - I'm pretty sure they be proudly sitting in my studio very soon. Thanks again RODE for another incredible product.

Hi Craig, you can find cable input on either cup in differente brands, like V-Moda or Aiaiai.
Awesome to see them get such a great reception. These headphones are second to none. Amazing sound quality, build quality and Aussie made! We were lucky to get early access and know y'all will love them!
as gamer who can't afford higher then $200 headphone i highly appreciate you guys had gaming performance considerations in mind, studio natural sounding headphone are always excellent for gaming, amazing job rode!
Everything I have been wanting in headphones. Rode already hit it out of the park for me when they created the RodeCaster Pro. Now I am upgrading to the RodeCaster Pro 2 and to my surprise the NTH-100's are coming with it for free for a limited time. Thanks Rode!!
What an awesome video! Sounds like you guys took a long time developing these. Ive always heard the best headphones come from microphone companies. Bought a pair. Shoutout to ZReviews!
As just a usual headphone user, not a professional audiophile, I absolutely love my new NTH100s. Magic sound quality for music, audiobooks, TH-cam, and they are also excellent with my ham radio too!
please order a recall because the plastic locking piece brakes on at least 70% of the users, it is a serious problem, fixable with a metal base and plastic over-mold part, I know it is not easy to change the production, but it is a very easy to brake part that is integral and critical to the headphones. Please release NTH-101 soon with the fix, and recall all NTH-100. (If you do the NTH-101, also please include a double thickness head padding and release it at 170€-200€. no problem increasing the price a bit to fix them, they are worth that much.)
Wow! There are countless numbers of us home-recording with a daw in small rooms with no way of fixing any acoustic treatment or even positioning monitor speakers in the correct position to get the 'sweet spot'. Happily there is now a bit of a shift to mixing and mastering using quality headphones combined with professional-grade software to simulate a natural flat studio response. These headphones are included jn the list of unique profiles within and I can assure that they sound absolutely fantastic. SoundID Reference is the name of the software. You will be amazed. 🎧🎶
What an awesome looking product. Neutral, closed back, spacious, well built, and comfortable for $150!? I ordered on after seeing some reviews. It was exact what I was looking for but nothing quite fit the bill until now.
I'm sold! If there were no other features or specs about these cans that blew the competition out of the water (and there are), just the fact that the earcups and headband use velour rather than that stupid vinyl that flakes off after using the phones for a while, AND the headband pad is replaceable along with the earcup pads (usually just the earcup pads are replaceable, if that) - that's a win for me. Only thing I wish is that Rode offered coiled cords as an option. Those seem to have gone out of fashion over the years for some reason, but I still like them both for location and studio use. Not a dealbreaker, though.
The feature set and design details of RØDE's first Headphones is phenomonal!!! The braille on each headphone is a really nice touch. Congrats RØDE Microphones !!!
Rode sounds more like Apple. That aside, I'm super impressed. Very well thought and designed product. The attention paid to the little details set a new benchmark for competitors. "This may just be the last headphone you ever have to buy" :)
Rode has reasonable prices (for products made with quality in Australia) and doesn't gouge people like Apple (who still make things cheaply in China and mark their stuff up into the stratosphere).
Purchased plenty of your products in my 17+ years of sound recording. Would definitely give it a shot to listen through those, specs are actually very close to the Beyrdynamics DT770 Pro. For the price, it's quite impressive.
awesome innovation .. as a video editor i can tell how much having a good headphone matters and helps in ur workflow.. its an absolute essential thing one must hv. Great that my favourite brand is making them now 🎧
I purchased these 2 weeks ago and am thrilled with the build, sound and comfort. One wish. Ship with the shorter cable. I now had to spend an additional $27+ for the shorter one and I will never use the longer one. I don't think that's right. Merely my opinion.
@@rodemic Thanks for responding. BTW, the only reason I mentioned the length of the cable is that practically every reviewer felt the cable that came in the box was too long. :-)
I'm seeing a flood of reviews on the NTH-100's, and having used a couple of RODE microphones, I admit I'm curious. Could you help me better understand your target market? I've used and recommended the Sony MDR-7506's for monitoring for many years. They are neutral and solid, although the earpads leave something to be desired. I installed replacement earpads from Brainwavz on several Sony's late last year, and we'll see how those work out over time. Are you positioning the NTH-100 to target the same market as the Sony's? The NTH-100 is priced $60 more. I'm not going to replace the Sony's we have, but I am curious about the RODE's for new projects. Thanks!
Check out the review over at Z Reviews - he specifically compares these to the venerable Sony MDR 7506s. I think you might order these after you watch that review. I sure did.
I wish the lock in system design wasn't faulty... I have had these for about a month now (only used them at my desk and I keep them on a stand) and they started to crack. I have seen this is a common issue and now I am returning them and getting something else as I can not afford to send them to be replaced every 1-2 months... I really love these, a lot of great and innovative features + good sound quality for my video editing needs, especially in this price range! I will definitely buy the next generation in the future once you get the snapping plastic issue sorted! Hope that happens soon tho.

Love the replaceable design, customisability and the slightly more subtle branding mark than the PSA1+. A coiled or semi-coiled cable option would be great. Imagine if you guys had made it possible to plug a headset mic into the other port...maybe that's a later model! Look forward to trying these out.
@@rodemic Spoiler , They break easily on the locking plastic part that should have been metal or at least plastic over-mold with metal structure from the start.
Can you plug in an inline mic to these? Do you sell an adapter for the proprietary connector so someone can use a third party cable or mic? Do you intend to sell a broadcast-level mic for the headphones that can go into one of the ports? How about wireless adapters?
@@rodemic Anyone looking at this thread, B&H just shipped mine. Should be here in two days. A message to Rode... Hi there. I have my guitar plugged into an amp and now I need a headset to plug in so that I can practice silently. What headset do you recommend? Thank you
Looks terrific like most Rode products we have invested in (apart from the unreliable Wireless Go II which has failed so many times to produce a signal for broadcasting sports consistently although the direct recording feature hasn't let us down yet). Sure to add these to the collection but the one big miss here is Bluetooth. Just feel Rode are missing a trick here (unless they are lined up for the next generation) but with so many customers using headphones on the go when walking a cable-less option is a huge miss here.
@Rode Would be great if Rode designed and manufactured (in Australia) a new set of headphones that also combines a flexible boom arm cardioid condenser microphone. Together with a couple of connectivity options, either a USB-C (with USB-A adapter) connection or a XLR microphone output together with a 3.5 mm (1/8" inch) input (plus a 6.3 mm (1/4" inch adapter)) connections to an audio interface such as the Rodecaster Pro II or the AI-1. Thanks for reading my comments and all the best for 2023.

What should we do if the other plug is lost in which the cable is not attached :/? Is there any damage if the other apparatus that the Rodh-100 headphone cable is not connected to is lost?? Is it harmful if the other plug is not installed?
Understandable, @@rodemic. It's a pretty niche use case. However, it seems like a revision down the line could make this possible. It should only require one extra wire within the headphone.
Hey, i can't see any frequency response graph anywhere, i think you guys should measure and post official frequency graph because it's going to be important to validate if this headphone is truly studio flat or not
The NTH-100s have an extremely flat frequency response all the way down to 20Hz and below, giving you a very accurate representation of your audio, without the exaggerated mid-bass and treble of some similar headphones. This makes them ideal for mixing and any other use case where you want a very accurate audio image.
I don't know if it's the applied audio compression or not, but the tone of the voice in the video just isn't quite right. Too bad it doesn't come with a curling cord with an angled 6.3mm jack plug (like for instance the Pioneer DJ headphones have). That would be more ideal for DJ use.
Hopefully, you don't compress the dynamics like every other manufacturer that makes Headphone for content creation etc Headphones makers It would be awesome if you made an open back and an open back planar magnet headphones with 100mm drivers or even bigger for the most Convincing life-like sound because that Happens when you have such large drivers that they sound closer to real life and get the most realistic sound possible Hopefully your sell replacement parts I wish you would Ten foot Colored cable You can never have too many headphones
