I honestly think that Thor would be the perfect superhero to fight Doomsday because one of the many powers the hammer has in the comics is to devolve someone.

Thor's abilities, particularly when he's wielding his hammer are much more versatile than Superman's ever were. He can literally open up dimensional rifts and yeet doomsday to the opposite side of the universe if he so desires. And he can summon enough electrical energy to make Superman's heat vision look like a cheap Bic lighter... Though granted that would probably significantly disrupt the world's weather patterns to get that much juice at once.

Thor while powerful, doesn’t hold a flame to Superman. Thor isn’t even touching hulk atm. Superman creates timelines and rifts in multiverse with punches. He hit brainiac so hard every version of brainiac throughout the multiverse felt the hit. Superman at his current state is no longer affected by time and space and casually can open portals now. Doesn’t even have to fly at the superhuman speed he does, which is faster than Thor. Superman at his weakest form can disintegrate planets with ease using his heat ray vision. I’ve never seen Thor disintegrate planets with his lightning, please correct me if I’m wrong as well. I could list many more feats but it would be wayy too much. That’s who doomsday is sticking with atm. Thor atm just got stomped by the thunderbolts, turned into stone and knocked into pieces AFTER he just received these buffs and took Zeus’s powers. Seen them coming and even stated he knows how to deal with them since he’s faced them many times before but still did no damage and would have died if enchantress didn’t save him

There are power levels and then there is just bad writing.. you're correct if you start taking Superman to Golden age levels the fight does become ridiculous. The one time they're on record as having actually fought Superman was just barely able to defeat non Odin force Thor... And even then he got immediately taken out by being dog piled by a half dozen of the weaker marvel superheroes. And even then in that fight they weren't exactly going all out. One of the virtues of putting anyone up against doomsday is there's absolutely no excuse to hold back. So I'll Grant you this concession: non Odin Force store would probably lose to Doomsday even if he did remember to bring the belt of strength which doubles his power levels that he was not actually wearing when fighting Superman. (It's actually one of the magic items Thor is known to wear from legend ...in marvel he hardly ever wears because once he takes it off he's left weakened for a spell and basically considers it's used to be cheating. You NEVER mentioned Doomsday's reactive adaptation. You're not keeping it fair and balanced. Any attack that hurts him, he will adapt to it, mid fight. Not to mention, if he dies from it, he becomes completely immune to the attack that killed him. You NEVER mentioned how Doomsday never stops coming with lethal intent. Superman struggled to match his battle speed. Let that sink in! That means Thor has no chance of matching his battle speed. Unless you're just a Thor Stan, there's no way you can give Thor a win here! On a random encounter, Thor wouldn't realize the threat in front of him until it was too late. Reactive adaptation only works up to a point. If damage is inflicted faster than he can adapt, then he will be destroyed in the end. Not to mention, Thor, with the Odinforce, Phoenixforce, Power Cosmic, and his natural powers and abilities on top of that, I doubt Doomsday would be able to adapt fast enough to adapt, especially if Thor one shots him.

Okay, see, the problem with this is that is massively upscales Thor and then proceeded to downscale just how powerful Doomsday is and the endless potential of his capability to evolve. I would say that Thor has the fight ONLY at the start. But very quickly, as the fight goes on, it is a countdown until he loses. Because Doomsdays has largely evolved beyond the means of just outright killing him through purely physical means and even metaphysical ones; as Shown when he tanked the Omega beams which are existence erasures. Most energy based means of obliteration have already killed him once and won't work again; I point to his death by the Radiant and the Green Lantern leader. There is zero chance Thor is doing the job with his lightning and that hammer is not going to be enough. But the biggest thing is Doomsdays evolution; It is practically instant and almost all encompassing. Allowing him tag speedsters, punch through dimensions and overwhelm concepts such as when he went to hell. Raw Strength and speed are a none factor as Doomsday will always evolve. Meanwhile, Thor can still blatantly be overwhelmed even with the Odin force as shown when Hulk, piloted by Banner, did it with brute force alone. I legitimately don't see a win for Thor in this; even with his newfound states and statues.

The battle here (if like a pinfall) is surely could be won by Thor. However, it is important to key in Doomsday's most effective ability: to regenerate and adapt beyond killing by the same method or power. It might be cosmic, or otherwise, unless proven otherwise, Doomsday would come back immune to the same method of killing. Would like to know where it goes from there. See, Doomsday (as ridiculous of a plot armor) as it may seem, was originally written that way (not the sucky follow up versions), and in that case even the aspect of Mjolnir 'de-evolving' him may not work down the line. It will almost have to be a win to just keep DD at bay, or send him away, or lure him into something superficial enough to work temporarily. I have seen Thor being bested by Hulk, Red Hulk, and in routine honest arguments between Marvel and DC scribes (during the Avengers/JLA) crossover, ever reluctantly, it was agreed Superman would win more times in rounds than Thor would, hence Marvel accepting the outcome in the crossover. To be fair, that was also because Thor''s most potent weapon Mjolnir would not be able to hurt Superman. It may also be a mix of the same for different reasons with an unconscious single minded killing machine like Doomsday, whose impetus is really to adapt and survive, not necessarily just end all life. You will see, if they do a crossover (not happening) it will go exactly this way: DD being put down momentarily, then coming back giving Thor a licking, then Thor learning he is un-killable and adjusting his method to use Asgardian tech or magic to merely transport DD, or put him into a loop, not beat him outright. So, this is closer than you folks think.
Not forgetting doomsday is am engineered killer if you see his fights with beings like superman, wonder woman Darkside his one who knows what his doing in a fight he just doesn't smash like hulk, his attacks are well precise and channeling for power, fights like a highly skilled MMA fighter but out of blood, his strength increases as he fights his senses are the most on point I have ever seen and super durable able to take Kryptonite blusts and recover without the sun and full power unlike superman, takes energy blusts, and just absorb the energy more efficient that superman being to punch through hell and the phantom zoon is no Joke , superman goes toe to toe with Zues and holds his own doomsdays is definitely giving Zues are tough time if he can take down Darkside who more power than Zues than Zues shouldn't be a problem plus unlike super magic does not work on him

I never understood the concept of Doomsday adapting to something that killed him. I think it's just a plot armor to make him a constant threat without much thinking. That's because him becoming completely immune is headcanon, what he gains is Extreme resilience. Thor while powerful, doesn’t hold a flame to Superman. Thor isn’t even touching hulk atm. Superman creates timelines and rifts in multiverse with punches. He hit brainiac so hard every version of brainiac throughout the multiverse felt the hit. Superman at his current state is no longer affected by time and space and casually can open portals now. Doesn’t even have to fly at the superhuman speed he does, which is faster than Thor. Superman at his weakest form can disintegrate planets with ease using his heat ray vision. I’ve never seen Thor disintegrate planets with his lightning, please correct me if I’m wrong as well. I could list many more feats but it would be wayy too much. That’s who doomsday is sticking with atm. Thor atm just got stomped by the thunderbolts, turned into stone and knocked into pieces AFTER he just received these buffs and took Zeus’s powers. Seen them coming and even stated he knows how to deal with them since he’s faced them many times before but still did no damage and would have died if enchantress didn’t save him

There are power levels and then there is just bad writing.. you're correct if you start taking Superman to Golden age levels the fight does become ridiculous. The one time they're on record as having actually fought Superman was just barely able to defeat non Odin force Thor... And even then he got immediately taken out by being dog piled by a half dozen of the weaker marvel superheroes. And even then in that fight they weren't exactly going all out. One of the virtues of putting anyone up against doomsday is there's absolutely no excuse to hold back. So I'll Grant you this concession: non Odin Force store would probably lose to Doomsday even if he did remember to bring the belt of strength which doubles his power levels that he was not actually wearing when fighting Superman. (It's actually one of the magic items Thor is known to wear from legend ...in marvel he hardly ever wears because once he takes it off he's left weakened for a spell and basically considers it's used to be cheating. The last time he's on record as having used it was fighting a rage consumed hulk I believe). But give Thor the power of an all-father on top of his own? The only way he would lose Superman or Doomsday is if Superman was at Golden age level BS powers or there was some serious freaking plot armor.
You NEVER mentioned Doomsday's reactive adaptation. You're not keeping it fair and balanced. Any attack that hurts him, he will adapt to it, mid fight. Not to mention, if he dies from it, he becomes completely immune to the attack that killed him. You NEVER mentioned how Doomsday never stops coming with lethal intent. Superman struggled to match his battle speed. Let that sink in! That means Thor has no chance of matching his battle speed. Unless you're just a Thor Stan, there's no way you can give Thor a win here! On a random encounter, Thor wouldn't realize the threat in front of him until it was too late. Reactive adaptation only works up to a point. If damage is inflicted faster than he can adapt, then he will be destroyed in the end. Not to mention, Thor, with the Odinforce, Phoenixforce, Power Cosmic, and his natural powers and abilities on top of that, I doubt Doomsday would be able to adapt fast enough to adapt, especially if Thor one shots him.

Okay, see, the problem with this is that is massively upscales Thor and then proceeded to downscale just how powerful Doomsday is and the endless potential of his capability to evolve.
I would say that Thor has the fight ONLY at the start. But very quickly, as the fight goes on, it is a countdown until he loses. Because Doomsdays has largely evolved beyond the means of just outright killing him through purely physical means and even metaphysical ones; as Shown when he tanked the Omega beams which are existence erasures. Most energy based means of obliteration have already killed him once and won't work again; I point to his death by the Radiant and the Green Lantern leader.
There is zero chance Thor is doing the job with his lightning and that hammer is not going to be enough.
But the biggest thing is Doomsdays evolution; It is practically instant and almost all encompassing. Allowing him tag speedsters, punch through dimensions and overwhelm concepts such as when he went to hell. Raw Strength and speed are a none factor as Doomsday will always evolve. Meanwhile, Thor can still blatantly be overwhelmed even with the Odin force as shown when Hulk, piloted by Banner, did it with brute force alone.
I legitimately don't see a win for Thor in this; even with his newfound states and statues.
The only way that Thor in his upgraded status wins is if he completely destroys Doomsday to the point where he can't evolve anymore and comes back.

The battle here (if like a pinfall) is surely could be won by Thor. However, it is important to key in Doomsday's most effective ability: to regenerate and adapt beyond killing by the same method or power. It might be cosmic, or otherwise, unless proven otherwise, Doomsday would come back immune to the same method of killing. Would like to know where it goes from there. See, Doomsday (as ridiculous of a plot armor) as it may seem, was originally written that way (not the sucky follow up versions), and in that case even the aspect of Mjolnir 'de-evolving' him may not work down the line. It will almost have to be a win to just keep DD at bay, or send him away, or lure him into something superficial enough to work temporarily. I have seen Thor being bested by Hulk, Red Hulk, and in routine honest arguments between Marvel and DC scribes (during the Avengers/JLA) crossover, ever reluctantly, it was agreed Superman would win more times in rounds than Thor would, hence Marvel accepting the outcome in the crossover. To be fair, that was also because Thor''s most potent weapon Mjolnir would not be able to hurt Superman. It may also be a mix of the same for different reasons with an unconscious single minded killing machine like Doomsday, whose impetus is really to adapt and survive, not necessarily just end all life. You will see, if they do a crossover (not happening) it will go exactly this way: DD being put down momentarily, then coming back giving Thor a licking, then Thor learning he is un-killable and adjusting his method to use Asgardian tech or magic to merely transport DD, or put him into a loop, not beat him outright. So, this is closer than you folks think.

I never understood the concept of Doomsday adapting to something that killed him. I think it's just a plot armor to make him a constant threat without much thinking. If he was killed by a strong punch, and adapted to it, can he not get killed by a stronger punch then? how about a kick that delivers the same impact as the punch that killed him? would that work? since its now a kick and not a punch? someone please explain...
That's because him becoming completely immune is headcanon, what he gains is Extreme resilience. And I know I'm going to piss off a lot of Fanboys by saying this but I really don't care because I'm tired of listening to their bullcrap. Doomsday has been killed by physical force multiple times yet he's supposed to be immune to it that is proof enough that it's headcanon.
