I have 4 sets of clubs. The one I use most is a tear drop shaped 1 pound set made in the late 19th century. I have a set of 2 pound Maple and 3 pound Oak (also teardrop). You did a nice job on these.
is the handle strong enough? since most of the bulk is wiped out. small weight is ok. but bigger ones better made from.solid block. but your making and finish is superb. do let us know where to check out and shop.
Oh yeah the hand is very strong. I don't have a measurement but its at least 1.5 inches in diameter and the handle material runs into the weighted portion.
Zeus, I made these for a friend from scraps so it's hard to say. If I was a good business man I'd say $1500.00+. I'm not an artist of note but the walnut and time do add up. For pricing I generally do a bit of market research as a baseline then factor in my skill level and quality I will finish the product to. Hopefully that helps! I appreciate the kind words and comment.

In terms of raw materials, the walnut was $200-300 roughly. I'd probably sell them for $500-600 if I was to make them again. I've never really thought to much about price points lol. If a different species of wood was used the price could be brought down a bit. Walnut is just cray expensive. Glad you enjoyed the video and the idea.
@@TheMikeRybak thanks for letting me know. Yeah may be some day I can afford them. Amazing craftmanship. My grandad was a craftsman so brings back good memories.

@@TheMikeRybak You are most welcome, sir!
Those are great. I wish I had the skill to make something like that.
You can totally do it!

Cool project. 👍🏻
Thank you! One lesson I learned for the next time is, start with a smaller blank.
Nice
Good stuff! Keep it up! Subbed!!
Thank you!
Nicely done. I have been swinging clubs, both wood and steel, for the past 12+ years. I like the shape and weight of the ones you created.
Look a like clubbell
so close to the saw
I'd buy them off of you if you had a store
Just ordered a 7kg club from Amazon
👍🙏
Thank you!
Beautiful work, but your hands looked SO close to the table saw blade. It was freaking me out with every pass. Please be safe.

Looks like something a NFL player 🤔 would be interested in. 🤔 or any other athlete.
I'd love a chance to make a set for another athlete.
Well done.. Can I buy from you ?

Amazing, how much would something like that cost to produce?

I've been searching for someone that can do this. I would gladly purchase a pair of these from you. I don't know if that's a possibility
If you havent got any yet and still want some, I'll be spinning a few sets in the next month.
Beautiful!! Do you make them if I place the order?
Yes I do! Shoot me an email!
How do you make the two clubs identical in dimensions? Jig?
I just did it by eye.

I think they were close to 1 inch maybe.

herpsenderpsen It’s a good way to show more of the process without making the video too long.
Can you make me heavy one ? I will happily pay for it I want about 25 pound one
Lol that's heavy
I can make you one. Wont be dirt cheap but wi'll be high quality
Hmm. Well, I guess you could always end up using them to hit chisels.
YOU ARE DOING THIS IN A WRONG WAY
INDIAN CLUB BEL AKA KARLA KATTAI IS MADE OF A SINGLE WOOD BLOCK.
Perhaps not traditional, but a laminated one will be strong. The layered look is beautiful. Of course nothing wrong with solid wood block.
you should never paint. it is bad for health. only a specific oil mix should be applied. please ask an indian expert.
It's not Indian Club. It's Tamil's club. Tamizhans are ancient ethinic group still lives n speaks the same old ancient language in southern India.
Who cares tho
