- This will likely be a 3 part series. This video is about the experience leading up to my hysterectomy. Part 2 will be about the surgery itself if I am able to capture this. Part 3 will be the recovery. I hope that any woman going through this experience can take something helpful from this.
Praying all goes well for you and the surgeon/staff. I am sorry you have to go through this Tiffany but sounds like you are definitely doing what's best for you. The video was very helpful and informative! Thank You! Wishing you all the best!
Thanks Toni. I was 2 weeks out when this posted. Doing pretty good. One little complication but thanks for your kind words.
Lifting you up in prayer, Dr L. I passed your video along to my older sister; who had a hysterectomy a few weeks back and if currently having some different challenges (on top of the prior ones). Your constant willingness help others and to share your journey, even through pain, never ceases to amaze me! I hope everyone else is doing well and that you have a smooth and healthy recovery.
You are so kind! I do hope it helps some people. I hope your sister recovers soon and fully.
Thank you for sharing this information. Even in suffering, you are seeking to help others...I'm not surprised. Mark and I will keep you in our prayers. May God bring you comfort and healing.
Thank you so much. I hope it helps some people.
I will be praying for a completely successful surgery and a quick recovery. Thank you for your honesty and willingness to share this personal experience.
Thanks so much. I hope it is helpful to people. A little challenging to be so raw.
I appreciate your candid detailed experience. I’m one day before surgery and it brought me such an incredible sense of normalcy. It has been a whirlwind from diagnosis to this point which has been all a little bit over 3 weeks. Thank you!!! 🥰🥰
I am so glad it was helpful. Good luck.
Thank you, Dr L. I'm seeing my doctor today to discuss results and options. Appreciate the info and honesty.
Good luck. I am so glad you found it helpful.
Thank you for sharing! Two years after your surgery, your information is still very relevant.
You are so welcome! I am glad it was helpful.
You're brave to go through this and to tell it all. I hope you realize you helped (and are helping) a lot of women deal with this. It's the big share and it's important. And no I can't relate except as second person male. But I know strength when I see it. You've gotten well soon now so keep hiking!
Thanks. I hope it does help some people. It was hard to be so open but I think it is worth it.
Thanks a lot for sharing. Going through the same thing and would be having the same surgery soon. Your story has really jlhelped me.
😊
Good luck. I am so glad it has helped.
Linda and I will be praying for you. Linda had to face the same problems when she was about your current age so she appreciates your challenge and openness for the benefit of other women.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I know it is incredibly vulberable to share. I had an ablation 1.5 years ago due to fibroids and also experienced heavy bleeding and horrible cramping for decades before the ablation. But the fibroids are coming back and my OBGYN and I are now discussing the option of a hysterctomy.
I hope you have a speedy recovery!
So glad I came across your video. I'm going in for an abdominal hysterectomy in two weeks. My uterus is up to my bellybutton as well. My fibroid is 15 cm.
Good luck. I hope you feel better !
Very helpful video, thanks for sharing. Going to look at the other videos. I have my hysterectomy in a few weeks
Good luck. I hope you feel better very soon.
Thank you for sharing. I'm considering a hysterectomy for similar reasons to what you described.
Good luck. I hope you feel much better.
I really enjoyed watching your experience. I like that the videos were positive and filled with optimism. I am having a total abdominal hysterectomy tomorrow.
Thank you so much for the feedback. I am so glad you have found this helpful. Good luck tomorrow. I wish you a speedy recovery.
@@nathanandtiffany Thank you! I came home from the hospital today.. I am doing fine and just looking forward to recovering.
Thank you for sharing this I really appreciate the information. I am having a hysterectomy soon did you have your ovaries removed as well?
I did not have my ovaries removed. Good luck to you. May you have a speedy recovery
May I ask how you were diagnosed would it be through a pelvic ultrasound
I’ve been taking the mini pill for years and the last year I’ve been bleeding on off which is getting more regular so they sending me for pelvic ultrasound I’m very nervous and anxious I’m 36 no children
My Pap tests have been all ok next one not due until July this year had cervix looked at said looks at healthy , but not had very accurate tests done
The initial part was through my pelvic exam. My doctor could feel that my uterus was very large. And then I went for a pelvic ultrasound. And that’s when they found all of the fibroids. So the short answer is yes the final diagnosis was to the pelvic ultrasound. Good luck!
My daughter just informed me that the medication I bought for her from Dr Aluda on TH-cam worked that her multiple fibroids has be shrunk and I am so happy for her and I am thankful to Dr Aluda for his help🎉
Hello and thank you for sharing your journey. I am scheduled for my Hysterectomy January 7, 2022. My very 1st time having surgery, and I am 43 also. I am very nervous.
Good luck. I hope you have a swift recovery!
Thank you. Any tips to help me prepare?
@@SamSkiBaby good sleep, hydration, meditation or however you manage your mental health, good nutrition. I also found the abdominal binder to be very helpful. The same advice for good healthy living mostly.
This is extremely helpful 😊❤ for future reference. Im 46 what age should you do this? I'm pre menopause yet heavy bleeding.
I was 43 when I did it. Gosh that is impossible to answer as there are so many variables to consider. Have you consulted with your surgeon?
Hi I'm having one as well
Good Luck!
Was your surgery done via cameras
No. It was an open procedure so an abdominal incision.
weird mine is outpatient?
Honestly I think that is reasonable. I went home after a day but really I don’t even think that was necessary. Good luck.
