Limestone 50 - 2023

The Limestone 50. One of three events held on the weekend of 1st-3rd Sept 2023 and organised by Peak Running. The other two events were the Millstone 100 and the Peveril 33.
All three events are intended for runners, but generous cutoff times allow strong walkers to take part. Fiona & I entered as walkers. The cutoff time for the 50 mile course was 21 hours. We finished in 20:38.
Event HQ is the Peveril centre in Castleton. The centre is the start & finish of all three events and is also the halfway point for the 100. The start for the 100 was 18:00 on Friday 1st Sept 2023. The start time for the 33 & 50 was 09:00 on Saturday 2nd Sept 2023. There were five intermediate checkpoints on the 50, providing timing checks and food & drink.

Excellent record. I may be having a go at this in September. Nice to know the paths look good and some nice views.
