I found my boyfriend dead in 2013. He was not answering texts and calls so I went to his house. First I panicked then passed out. I have only a few vague memories for about two weeks afterwards. I can still remember the details of finding him clearly. Shock is real. I'm so glad people are supporting Dylan. Prayers to the surviving victims and all the families.

The reality of 8 hour gap is obvious. She did not know what happened and therefore not looking at the moment like we are now knowing the outcome. Kids do not wake up on Sunday morning after staying out late. The house would have been quiet so sleeping until noon is normal. Leave her alone and wait until trial.

When Dylan heard noises and then saw the intruder in the house. She did not know that 4 of her roommates were murdered. She froze, she was beyond scared. I bet she was up and curled up in a corner, not sure what will happen next. She was probably even in a catatonic phase. She does not need to live her life having people accuse her of waiting so long to call 911. Her life will never be the same, her youth of being able to party and have fun with her friends, will never be the same and not even sure if she will allow herself that luxury. Why? Because people are blaming her for waiting so long or that she was involved. She is most likely suffering from PTSD. She needs our love and support and just stop with the, why she waited so long. Sadly, even if she called 911 right away, it would not have saved the 4 victims.

What puzzles me more though, is the day after, why not call the cops right away, when there is blood everywhere. But maybe she/they did not enter the rooms fully, were the victims were and perhaps dark in the rooms, so when not getting any response from either of them, calling a friend to come over..

Why would anyone expect DM to have called 911 immediately???? She didn't know he was the killer. She didn't know that her roommates were dead! She was most likely in shock that someone saw her peeping out her bedroom door, and mostly embarrassed he might of seen her. Her greatest shock was after she realized that the person, she saw was the killer. That's when the real terror set in.

So ridiculous how they are approaching this poor young lady, especially the lawyer suggesting she had knowledge of a crime when she closed the door.
The 8-hour gap is VERY easy to explain...
She comes home (maybe a little buzzed or a lot buzzed).
She lives in a varsity house that is like a railway station most days of the week, more so on weekends
She just heard GrubHub deliver food to your pals, You heard some light crying and what sounded like your noisy roommates being noisy with their dog... AGAIN.
She hears some words that don't quite make sense at the time you hear them, but no one is screaming.
She opens the door with NO KNOWLEDGE of any crime or any serious problem, see some weirdo (maybe not the first time a strange dude has left the house at a strange time)
You fall asleep and wake up 8-hours later on what was a SUNDAY MORNING. Why would she need to wake up any earlier of to going to sleep at 430am?
Man, I have teenagers that don't party all night and still get out of bed at midday on a Sunday.

And it’s not as if the knife could’ve been sheathed and hid from her view because the sheath to the knife was left behind at the scene. The male voice could have been the boyfriend talking to his girlfriend that he was going to try to help her after they were both attacked, especially knowing crying was heard. So sad but its what first came to mind.
It seems so important to find out if the witness saw whether the offender had to unlock the glass door to leave, because if not, then it is possible it had been left unlocked and that is where he made entry. It seems the easiest access point. Also imagining he seemed focused on leaving that way and you would think he would leave the way he entered, as it would be known already to be open access.

I have to disagree that she had a bone chilling encounter with the killer. Because at the time she didn't know he was a killer. Had she sensed something wrong she would have text her friends or called them to see f they were ok that night . Kids are glued to their phones these days. She was either half asleep and didn't think anything of it and went back to sleep, or she was drunk or under the influence and then also went to sleep .Not until the next day did she realize something was wrong. I doubt she was frozen in fear.

I know her dad is heartbroken and just wants justice for his daughter but it wasn't only him and his family who lost someone. There are 3 other families involved who are equally heartbroken and want justice too. He's been really vocal, rightfully so, but he's also said on national news that he went and questioned people during the investigation prior to the suspect being apprehended. Now he's been on almost every news channel and talking about things the victims' families aren't usually heard speaking publicly about until theres been a conviction and their giving their victim impact statement to the court. All im saying is I just really hope nothing hurts the case. Now, his attorney is speaking to media about the case, the evidence, and the defendant. I pray for his family and his daughter as well as the other families and victims. I think of them daily. I just pray nothing causes any problems for the case. I know the last thing anyone would want would be a mistrial for some reason or on a technicality. If anyone will find something for a mistrial, it will be this defense attorney appointed to the case.

"who know's?" is not a sufficient answer for not checking on your roommates after hearing everything she heard. It's just not. She deserves no praise, she owes everyone especially the families answers. If she was so scared, how did she go to bed for 8 hours and proceed not to call the authorities until noon? makes literally no sense, "who know's?" is not a sufficient justification for what she didn't do. Inexcusable. Out of all the possible things you can do in that situation, she easily did the most unbelievable. Going into her room, apparently so scared she didn't text or call anyone, instead she went to sleep for 8 whole hours? She owes answers, simple as that.

Well, motive is crucial to understanding, but sometimes people kill just to see how it feels. After 50 years of serial killers becoming a mainstream topic, and attracting a fandom, they may desire to play the games of their heroes. Mental health issues are clearly a factor. When you're isolated and detached, it's easy to lose touch with yours, and others humanity. The Internet is a perfect example of that. People become avatars for any negative impression others want to place on them. That's less likely to happen if they are in your presence.
