- Twenty-year-old Mamta Bhatt seemingly vanished from her Manassas Park home at the end of July. Her husband, Naresh Bhatt, waited days to report her missing and said it wasn’t uncommon for Mamta not to come home. The community rallied to search for Mamta as investigators turned their attention to Naresh, whose friends accused him of being an abusive husband. Prosecutors allege Naresh killed Mamta and dragged her body out of their home to hide it. Naresh now faces a charge of concealing a dead body. Same kind of scary feeling. Welfare check doesn't include the baby's safety too. Why the welfare check was not for the baby daily? What kind of system is this!!!? They have allowed the baby to be in the house where her mommy was killed, he cleaned the place and how did he get a time to feed the baby or make it to sleep or clean the baby's poop or pee. The baby might have definitely gone through a hard time with him 😢

Her coworkers called the police for welfare check. Check all facts when on exposed, when she spoke up and him and marital issues. He drained their bank account. She was going to get her citizenship and he hide her green card.
Both he and his parents abused her. They need to be investigated and arrested from Nepal

This is so heart wrenching. That clip of baby crawling in stairs gave me tears . As a Nepalese , this hits hard on a different level . It feels like I am desensitized with floods of these sorta news all around in internet . But this one has become a topic internationally and in national level so idk . Great interview, probably the best one. Mr. Murphy was so precise and honest. I’m so glad he mentioned other American criminal’s names and not pointing at arranged marriages or different cultures or faiths or practices. This is the way all the investigations should be. And he is completely right about her situation was not unknown to her friends or community. Instead of some flashy and meaningless pictures of her happy conjugal life people should have said or posted somethings that would show how difficult and dangerous her day to day life was. Thank you Mr. Murphy. Years ago something like this happened to one of my in-laws, ex in-laws rather. It brought back a lot of horrific and sad memories.

One thing I didn't understand, when the police went to Mamata's house August 2nd to check welfare. If they didn't found her at home then why didn't call her to conform is she ok or not? At list the police try to call her on that day, they might found her body ?

I believe naresh and Mamta had arguments. In the Asian community (Indian, Nepal etc.) divorce is really bad in the community. Naresh didn’t want to be disowned by family and he didn’t want to give mamta half his assets when filing for divorce. So he killed her for insurance money and wanted his daughter and money to himself. Because in his mind he brought mamta to the USA and didn’t want her to move on in the USA because she never would’ve been in the US if it wasn’t for him. He’s selfish and cares about himself and his money.
She looked so excited throughout her pregnancy and even after Neema’s birth. She didn’t even get to see her daughter turn one year old. Everyone has some memory or stories of Mamta. Neema won’t have any. Naresh took that away from them.

I saw the WUSA 9 interview and Naresh Bhatt has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) that has progressed to the level that makes it impossible for a person to feel emotions of grief, empathy and remorse (DSM-5). That’s why there is no caring interaction between him and the reporter in that important interview. Worse, there is neither any indication that he is concerned about his wife’s whereabouts and wellbeing, nor the genuine sadness you would expect from a husband in this situation. NPD's (in the stage in which this individual was at the time he committed the crime) are incapable of feeling love and the other normal human emotions that normal people experience. He crossed from sociopathy to psychopathy by killing his wife if proven guilty by science as I expect (Marshall, 2021). That’s psychopathic behavior. There is no cure for psychopathy.

they write in the report "appears to be blood or blood spatter" not only because the tests haven't come back yet saying for sure that it is blood, but also because they are documenting and validating their reason to continue the investigation. this will help them get warrants to look into other things. it's the whole reasonable suspicion of a crime that gives them the right to keep digging and possibly hold him without her body.
