“I power lifted by myself for a while but couldnt stay motivated without other people seeing me” I have been lifting in my tiny garage by myself for 3 years and i love it. I love the seclusion
Here too. I’ve had a home-gym for about two years, and even though there’s a gym literally four minutes from my house by car, I’ll ALWAYS choose my home gym (and it’s half-assed Golden Era of bodybuilding feel ;) ).
It is a very good book for beginners as well as for those that are already into th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt A very good basic ebook to keep as a reference too. I like it and the way the subject matter is presented. It has humor and that helps with the reading.
That's an awesome gym. They did a great job of making it look welcoming. I like that there is a fridge and restroom, so you don't have to run back to the house.
They have figured it out. Why would you want to use your upper body to put 100lbs on the top rack when you could use your legs( much stronger) to lower 100lbs to the bottom of the rack?
So many haters commenting. That is one sweet spot over there!!! and I think you guys missed the point, they made t so all the family could bond and work out together
Bench prop + Pulley system + Jerk blocks = turn your rack into a rhino. cheaper and saves space, but needs to be set up/torn down to use. same 1:1 pulley with perfectly vertical pull up. pullups and dips available with the rite accessories.
DerekRedfieldGaming “functional fitness” is a ridiculous term used by CrossFitters to try and give extra merit to crossfit when in reality crossfit is no more “functional” than any other style of training. Yeah because walking on my hands is something you’ll do on a daily basis.
@@teamrogers1047 Yeah but it's clear in the video that this guy is just a rich kid who doesn't know much about weight training. He could barely do a kettle bell swing effectively without looking so stiff. They don't even have a power rack in this home gym. But there is nothing wrong with functional training.
Penelope416 what I am trying to say is there is no such thing as “functional training”. Anything you do in a gym is not something you do on a daily basis. If you don’t do it on a daily basis in your everyday life than how is it functional ?
People are so sour in the comment section. Whether it's home gym, art, car....its a luxury. If you have the money then why not buy 4 cars, why not buy 11 gauge squat rack etc.
Very nice, almost too nice to use for a gym space. Obviously, a really nice & clean space is ideal, but there is something about those rougher garage gyms that I like. Dennis Cornelius has or, at least, had, I'm not sure anymore, a garage gym in Oklahoma that was super Spartan. He was training on a bare bones rack, with a car parked behind him, using bent barbells, but was just wiping the floor with the competition. Anytime I start to contemplate an expensive piece of equipment or specialty barbell I remember Dennis Cornelius and decide against it.
What is the square footage of the gym? Footprint I mean. I'm building a 750sqft space this upcoming year and I'm searching for some scale. Great space though, wow!
Hey Coop, I would like to add Cleans to my workouts. Can you recommend a middle of the road quality/cost bar that I can also use for benching/pressing/squats. Thanks
Rogue fitness boneyard bars are made to their standard barbell standards and quality of equipment but just have slight imperfections, double knurled, not knurled to the proper spots, scratched, etc. They can still sometimes be upwards of $200 or so and if that is still out of your price range go for a Power Guidance bar from amazon($165), bought one for my ship and that thing gets used and abused day in and out for all types of workouts multiple times a day and it has held up great! Just a couple options if you are still looking.
Thank you to Ralph and Curt for the hospitality. Not only did they have an awesome gym, but they were even better people. Our community is AWESOME!
This is Coop's soulmate, the nicest home gym equipment that's never going to be used
They do be looking kinda dyel doe
Forget the gym, i want to see the whole house, Jesus look at the size of it
Zaid Soulat Dad made the money and the boy took a pseudo degree.
Was thinking the same

I like the plate storage on the side of the stairs, looks dope af. I've never seen or thought of that. 1:02
How many two-story gyms have you even seen to think of that as a feature....
Two story but also not huge huge to where they needed to have space and had to worry about insurance nightmares of weights falling
Yeah man, I thought that was pretty sick too
That's an awesome gym. They did a great job of making it look welcoming. I like that there is a fridge and restroom, so you don't have to run back to the house.
probably the nicest home gym I've ever seen
Looks good but I like the powerlifting and strongman gyms that look like warehouses or big garages.
I like gyms that are purple and blast an alarm when someone grunts or farts too loud.
@@ericcartmansstrengthandpow5960 lol I am not allowed to go to the fitness planet.
If I was a single man I would live in an old warehouse like that
Eric Cartman's Strength and Power 🤣
Oh my! Best looking home gym I've seen. Clean look. Beautiful. Love it so much.
1:17 $2,000,000 garage gym. Only does burpees and kettle bell fondling.
And not really well done, by the way.
For real lol. "Functional fitness"....
@@jayn8392 his gym isn’t very functional. More room to stand than equipment. Nice but overkill
Kettle bell “fondling” 😂😂
Haha I thought the same
So incredibly jealous, beautiful setup. Inspiration for sure!
This gym is nicer than my house. This video is such a flex lol.
Coop I've been waiting for this to hit your TH-cam channel. When I saw on your Instagram i was blown away. Definitely a great stop on your tour.
He'll never be as fit as the old man!!! That dad's gym!!
Lol you mean , I’m 29 but I like older men since like forever, his dad is on a whole different level compared to him , I definitely like dads physique
@@gracygiovannitk7435 1. No one asked
2. You're old enough to like old men.
3. Why?
Top 2 things about your own gym is you can train anytime and you don't have to deal with all the gym idiots
Plate storage on the stairs is bad ass
What blows my mind is how much money people spend on fancy gym equipment when they don't even lift.
For real
agreed but to be fair, the dad is jacked. Proof is in the pudding.
At least the dad works out.
Functional fitness bro....... so dumb
Wow! Really nice home gym !!! I’m sure they are very proud !! Very humble guys .... Great choice of interview coop!
That dad looks like he's had some serious muscle about 5 yrs back..He still looks jacked esp in the beginning when he was sitting with his son..
23 years old? I thought he was in his 40s.
I wish my dad was a millionaire. :(
I wish I had a dad :( be grateful for what you have, someone out there has it far worse than you.

This is Beautiful! Thanks for the tour!
It great start, it will get way better too. All gyms evolve. Dad needs it too, that is way cool...
Viking timberwork.
Nice !!!
Awesome gym. Would have liked to see the upstairs too.
How can one man know as much about equipment? Coop is like the beautiful mind of gym equipment.
need a house tour.. of that fabulous house in the background.
Nice to see a dumbbell rack that makes sense. Big weight on top small on bottom. Wish big box gyms would figure that out

Coop, you should do a tour of Jujimufu's new home gym! It looks sick!
Hey coop, have there been any strongman, Olympic lifting, power sports, or bodybuilding "garage gyms" that'll be on the channel soon?
william allen yeah i’m sick of seeing crossfit
He should check out jujimufu or the bugez gym
This is my dream life lol. My father training CrossFit with me under our own garage competitively. Whatttt

The repurposed barn is a great idea and suits the house perfectly.
Wow. Great home gym. Love your series.
Thats a beautiful garage gym. Wow
Nice interview and the reclaimed beams are kick ass.
Nice gym, the potential to do whatever they want in it is amazing
I would of put a whole upstairs, it seems like a waste of space
The dad was light on his knowledge of the timber frame. Like it just appeared without planning.
Everyone in this video besides the old man looks like they never touched a weight in their life.
Not everyone who works out looks like a pro bodybuilder.
I'm sure TRT helps lol
coming from a dude named bumblebee lmao

You can eat off the floor in a grungy gym too. It's like a workout for your guts.
