Yet more incompetence from SouthEastern

  • After having been assured by southeastern that this won't happen again, today I undertook another wheelchair Journey with #SouthEastern today 5th May 2022
    Customer Name: Steve Woodmore
    Booking Reference: PA-J7CEEFPF
    As I did not know what time I would be coming back I couldn't book a return, my outbound booking was made over the phone and they assured me the return journey wouldn't be an issue and I could just turn up at #Victoria as it was always manned so they could take care of me.
    When I arrived I decided to get the 15:25 service to Ramsgate which stopped at Bromley South, my destination.
    I presented myself at the #assistance gate and asked for the ramp and made it clear I would need assistance at Bromley South, I was assured this would happen
    As I boarded the train at Victoria I again asked to make sure that I would get assistance At Bromley South to once again be told not to worry as they will call ahead and arrange it.
    The train arrived at Bromley and there was no-one there to meet me and only thanks to 2 very kind passengers and an off duty train driver, they managed to hold the train and find someone to assist me.
    This is off-the-scale incompetence, this is now the third time I have used them to make an important journey and now the third time it has gone wrong at some point.

    None of this surprises me. It's shocking (not) that half the time, not just with this, but in general, staff don't know what's going on as it appears the higher up middle management just does nothing. It's as if bookings, route control, station staff and train crew rarely speak to each other about literally any issue(s) that may arise.

    You shouldve pulled the passcomm, obstructing the doors is really dangerous, using the alarm would alert the driver and the train wouldnt have gone.
