I am traveling to London next year and I am in a wheelchair too; this was EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much for doing this kind of video, now I know what to do :)

I am glad I was able to help, I will be doing more of these type of videos in the future, especially a around travelling by tube, DLR and the Elizabeth line.
ATM I am chemotherapy so it's a bit dangerous to be out and about in crowds.

I'm planning on getting an electric wheelchair as my carer has arm issues and I also want some freedom! the thought of getting on a bus does fill me with anxiety though as its so difficult for my carer to get me on and squeeze past the bar, nevermind doing it myself. But your video has given me hope that I can also do it 😄

I had always thought when they got the new buses in, and got rid of the old buses, this problem would be solved and no more need for difficulties in travelling. I worry for my Aunt who now no longer really travels, but has got mobility issue for the past few years now, she really struggled still when she does have to goes out.

Thank-you for sharing your experiences. There is so much work left to do to help people in wheelchairs. Great video!

They need to remove the bar as that is 100% in the way I can back up on our busses but it's super hard sometimes as u run into ppls feet

The thing is it's for wheel chairs not the mobility scooters witch people use as theirselves as a car it says on notice board I've seen them being let on that's not right that's Thier own travelment and no room for buggyes

Interesting video. Really disappointing to see them drive off after you press the button

Wheelchair and mobility scooter user travel free on London's buses, this is available to anyone with these aids. Disabled Londoners also get a free travel pass for buses, tube, trams and overground rail in London
