Very good explanation on configuring the EN2T or the comms module. Really appreciated you showing the dip switch reset. You are very through and you know, that’s very important and appreciated. I learned and still learning the hard way in automations but I came from process operations to automations so I understood the process controls. I started in automations by knowing almost nothing though I knew what a plc and modules all were. But it was hard with no explanation of how anything worked working with a very good Senoir Programmer. I learned slowly over time all on doing old plant upgrades at power plant sites and learning ControlLogix with Studio 5k. I have access to almost every RA software from their toolkit and on my laptop for field stuff. However, knowing and understanding how stuff works and software and the details like your explaining is fundamentally important. Not many places or even TH-cam channels really explain RA Software in details or how to really program stuff in clear clarity. In programing engineering it’s important to be clear and understand how to do what or why. Your demonstrating that very well here in these videos. Loved it. These days it’s FactoryTalk Linx Software, Classic still exist
Hello, a noob question, so this method you are doing is changing the Public IP address (Plant) correct? Or the private IP address (Machine)? Either way, thanks so much!
What is the main difference between the EN2T and the EN2TR? I know it has an embedded switch on the EN2TR, and I believe that it has two separate IP addresses are available, Thanks for the video - good content!
There are 2 main items: 1. The 2 IP capability as you pointed out. 2. The ability to use DLR (Device Level Ring) which allows for "more reliable" networking of field devices by creating a loop from two points of connections. DLR is good in certain cases and I've seen good implementations of it in the field. My advice is to always purchase the EN2TR version unless there's a significant cost increase of one over the other.
You are right, but I had someone email me about an ENET card that doesn't have a display. I wanted to demonstrate that the factory reset is an option in that case. BOOTP always had many problems from my experience. Things aren't always showing the way they should. That being said, I've always followed the same steps and things do work out. It's a matter of going through it a few times.
Hi Solis PLC, our factory recently got a new Internet setup my Ethernet/IP card on my Chassis is showing a ip of 192.168.1.xx but our new ethernet ip address is 192.168.201.xx what is the best way to change this so i can communicate with my Logix 5555?
You can change it via RSLinx and that would be my recommended option. Simply add the current IP of the card into the IO tree, go into properties, and change it in the network tab.
Good Content..What is the reason only if PLC is not reachable from scada server although the same is reachable to all???Can you please share your brief checklist on this issue?
It's either network configuration or PLC / SCADA configuration. I'd probably start with the one that isn't accessible by other devices and see how it's configured, if the physical connection is correct, try to connect it to a single other device, etc.

Great content and love the excellent detailed instruction for the IP addressing configuration. Thanks for sharing.
This guy is a legend. Thanks for all the good work mate.
Your videos are awesome , thanks to great teacher.
Thanks for your detailed explanation. Very much appreciated!
Your videos are amazing man!
Pl do a video on firmware updates and related issues as well. :-)
Great job.Nice Explanation.I am looking for a topic on PlantPAx
Thank you for the informative video.
Than you!
Very helpful. Thank you..👍
thank you so much sir for this perfect teaching.
You're very welcome!
Great stuff
Thank you my dude you helped me alot
You're welcome Neal!
Yeah! Thx You! Very Good information
You're welcome! We're glad you found it helpful.
Could do you make videos on the Serco communication module like this?
if possible include a kinetics drive as well?
thanks for this
Thanks for the video .
You're welcome!
🙏 🙏 🙏 thank you very much sir
excellent

oh , can i set 256 to set the enthernet ip of this module , instead of the same you 000 ? this is because 256 is out of range the fist box 001-254 ?
Can you pls share how to connect absolute encoder to plc video
THANKS can you do setting up word communication between PLCs?
What do you mean by "word communication"? Do you mean passing strings?
@@SolisPLC yes
I think you could this much with out factory reset with switches, and something was wrong after disabling with bootp rslinx must show you static.

Your videos are great! The only advice I would have is to speak slower, and don't click through the process so rapidly.
Hello! do you have any lessons in Russian? Thx
I don't, but I'd love to have them translated.
That would be great!!!
P.S. Thank you for your lessons!! They're great!
Can I have this software? Thanks
We can issue a quote.
@@SolisPLC how much?
