What's New with SmallRig's 2nd generation Universal Rotating Camera Mount Bracket | Review and Demo

- Last year we reviewed Smallrig's first rotating camera mount and while it was nice, it had a major flaw which was that it was only compatible with select cameras. Now the brand released a new version that is not only universal (within each brand because of lens sizes) but is also compatible with camera cages.

Excellent review - grabbing today! A7IV user here - thx Nicco!
3:50 Hmm, can't see from any resources that say's it's virtually compatible to more Sony Cameras now. Even the ZV-E10 (with or w/o a cage). Can anyone confirm that? SmallRig says only compatible with the following: α1, FX3, α7R IV, α7 III, α9 II, α7 IV, α7S III, α7R III, α7R V, FX30
When asked around SmallRig site or B&H, they say only limited compatibility
Does the Sony version fit a ZV-E1?
Very useful. Thank you
Do you think it would work for my Hasselblad X1Dii ..45 mm xcd p lens
Great video! Do you still need a nodal rail for taking panoramas?
It doesn’t really serve that purpose unless incidentally it was able to match the NPP of the lens
Why would I buy one of these instead of an L bracket?
Seems over
complicated unless I’m missing something.
Less bulky, faster, and you only need one quick release plate
@@kyle_munoz eh, I’m not sold. I use arca Swiss plates, which are built into my L bracket.
Definitely don’t see this as an upgrade.
Then don't buy it LOL. Nobody here works for SmallRig @@destin-danser
