Debris at the bottom of the fuel tank is lifted when refill is done. It may clog whatever is left of a free flowing stream of fuel to the engine. A bump, and it may regain normal flow. Clean tank, change sump filter and change in line fuel filter or the 5 micron filter on the pump unit.
Nice video. I had a 2005 Durango that stalled and just needed the throttle body cleaned. Im having an issue with a 2007 aspen now. The motor ran great until after replacing catalytic converters and now it sounds like it might have a lifter tick. I fear the p0164 code that went up after the repair might have damaged the engine with heat and back pressure. Im completely lost diaging this issue. It seems to happen most when going over a bump or cutting the wheel to the left, yet the sound is coming from the drivetrain
These problems never seem to be easy to figure out. The symptoms seem to be similar for that code, but there could be a number of issues. There were a number of sensors that are tied to this code as well. Does it cut off at operating temp while it is idle?

Probably one of your fuel injectors. Mine wouldn’t go above 60 and it was one of the injectors that was blocked inside with gunk. Connection for battery harness looked fine but upon inspection, had to cut the two wires on the positive side to inspect and found the corrosion in the strand, bought a repair splice wire (the two wire splice) from AutoZone and followed directions for repair and codes couldn't be erased upon startup had to drill the holes wider in order to cleanly insert each wire in . Cleared codes and no more problem at startup, this after changing the camshaft sensor and it still was giving the error. Stalling at pull off and while on highway with high mph .whole lot cheaper fix than the cost of PCM.

You should be able to determine that by the VIN of your limited edition The ECU has to be programmed specifically for your vehicle, which is determined by your VIN anyway. Try this link to start with. You can probably find cheaper options, but at least I got what I asked for on this site: carcomputerexchange.com/dodge/durango/2005-05-dodge-durango-ecm-pcm-engine-control-module/prod_138.html?campaign=15445611790&content=565985117028&keyword=&gclid=CjwKCAiA24SPBhB0EiwAjBgkhlOgzZrsZ-wiCwGIBvomcfxee6_QD8IOgcIpZ-5-c_msAuj6INucsxoCMmgQAvD_BwE
Yeah, I thought about that, but you have to get the PCM reprogrammed for your specific VIN. I was not sure how to do that outside of the companies online who replace them for you.
@@mrstyl I’m glad I read this comment I was about to head to pic n pull. Lol now I know it’s vin specific. You now helped me twice in 10 min bahahaha. I’ll subscribe and like for that. Cheers

Where did you get the pcm computer at. Mine has been doing the same thing.
I went to carcomputerexchange.com. It was pretty quick and straight forward. They will ask you to send in your damaged unit. Just make sure that is what the problem is.
How much did the PCM cost you
I siliconed my cowl. Done.
I'ma see if that's the reason mine keep stalling because it's gotten worse over time all my fuses good oil good sparkplugs new 🤷 so now I'm guessing it's the fuel oump
I am having the same issue and was looking up for the ECU, but was a bit confused by the options. I have a limited edition 2005 and it's a 4x2. Could you help me determine what I need...it mentions a 4.7L and a 5.7L. Do I get the 4.7 L?
You should be able to determine that by the VIN of your limited edition The ECU has to be programmed specifically for your vehicle, which is determined by your VIN anyway. Try this link to start with. You can probably find cheaper options, but at least I got what I asked for on this site:
carcomputerexchange.com/dodge/durango/2005-05-dodge-durango-ecm-pcm-engine-control-module/prod_138.html?campaign=15445611790&content=565985117028&keyword=&gclid=CjwKCAiA24SPBhB0EiwAjBgkhlOgzZrsZ-wiCwGIBvomcfxee6_QD8IOgcIpZ-5-c_msAuj6INucsxoCMmgQAvD_BwE
Ohh this is so late, but your car should show what Litre you have when you openj the hood.
Did it throw a code ?
By the time it started malfunctioning, there were no diagnostic codes to read. That was another indicator of the computer module failing
I have a 5.7 hemi 2004 stopped working at 100k been sitting in my garage for over 8years
Good video. You could've went to a junkyard and got the pcm for a lot lot less though.
Programming used modules can be an issue on newer cars
Yeah, I thought about that, but you have to get the PCM reprogrammed for your specific VIN. I was not sure how to do that outside of the companies online who replace them for you.
@@mrstyl I’m glad I read this comment I was about to head to pic n pull. Lol now I know it’s vin specific. You now helped me twice in 10 min bahahaha. I’ll subscribe and like for that. Cheers
What did you pay for that ECU?
Just under $200. I had to send in the bad ECU so the company could refurbish it
Where did u get the remand ECU FROM
I went to carcomputerexchange.com. They seemed to have a decent rate compared to a few other sites. You will need the VIN of your car so they can program an ECU for you. They will also send you a return envelope for your damaged ECU.
Thank you for your video
Yes, no problem! I have watched a lot of youtube videos that helped me. I hope this helped your problem, if you had one...
This ain't happened and the site where the fuse box is checked the fuse box I take it apart and clean it with WD-40 and a toothbrush
Fuel pump
Did you enjoy buying parts at random?
It was a pet project of mine. I made it a point to get the car working for my daughter. It was not completely random. The parts I ordered were based on symptoms I experienced with the car, plus other videos I saw on TH-cam. This site has been extremely helpful to me, and I just want to contribute my experience.
I got one same color it's a turd on wheels nothing but trouble
