I was introduced to laird plastics on yellow brick rd and bought some thick plastic for a boat project. The type of plastic that is made of is super easy to cut and shape i bet you could easily make some more of those
It's worth a shot. This is a big thing missing on Hobie h-rails. I was glad to see something like this. I'm actually looking for track mounts for my canoe. If you could figure out how to make one, I'd buy it.
I purchased the DoubleHeader but mounted on the Hobie Mighty Mount instead. I thought it would work better by turning it closer to my kayak. The only problem I found is that the DoubleHeader seems very flimsy. I think I’ll try the YakGadget Hobie QuickTrack like you did to see if it seems stronger. Please let me know how it’s working out for you when you can. Thanks
It works fine for small fish. I haven't done much trolling lately. I will be trolling for big striper next spring. I hope to put them to the test then. I'll probably use a lanyard just in case.

It works great on the quicktrack. I used it a few times in rough conditions and it was solid. I didn't have to tighten at all.
Thank you
How did that work out for trolling?
