Why are us “fans” not allowed to dislike her character? Anna did AMAZING and people should never harass her for playing a character, but the character herself? She’s annoying, petty, and selfish. A character being really annoying is harder to like than a character being evil like Walt was, because although you hate Walt you love to see him in every scene, where with skyler it can get pretty annoying. She can be very valid in the show with a lot the issues that happen, and she’s a very well written character, but I feel that people like you aren’t willing to see that her as a person has many annoying qualities, similar to Marie but Marie is more funny annoying whereas Skyler is more annoying annoying.

Rightfully so, hopefully! The first viewing, you kind of champion Walt's intelligence; given he's our main protagonist. On subsequent viewings, you assess all the surrounding characters more and realize just how much of an utter asshole Walt slowly becomes. As Mike rightfully acknowledges, Walt's pride and ego becomes blown up and ugly; to the point where the aggression driving him makes him really tedious, unpleasant company for others to surround themselves with. Walt believes he's ALWAYS in the right.

Part of Walt's villainy is how he is able to manipulate the characters around him to believe and do what he wants and he also manipulates the audience the same way. @@NCProjectM Yeah death threats to Anna are so not okay but also not surprising.
A lot of women stay in relationships even when they’re not in love anymore, or when they’re being treated badly, because they cling to the idea that they have this perfect family, and will not let that go at all costs. Skyler strikes me as this type of character throughout the series, from her micromanaging of the finances in the pilot episode, to her pushing Walt to do chemo when he didn’t want to, to her unwillingness to turn Walt in for her fear of Junior finding out that his father is a criminal.
I think a lot of people who hold more patriarchal views were too blinded by the machismo of Heisenberg in juxtaposition to the meekness of Walter to realize that Skyler was never meant to be portrayed as a perfect or innocent character. It’s just that her desire to control and contain, while it pales in comparison to the sociopathy that splits Walt in two, reminds people of the wishy-washiness that sometimes emerges when a woman wants a divorce but won’t fully come to terms with the fact that it means the marriage is beyond repair.
The writers of the show didn’t do Skyler any favors in that area by bringing up arguments between Walt and Skyler over Walt’s access to the home and the children.
Thankfully most men are not sociopaths and will not rise to the level of evil criminality that Walt did, either because their moral compass is too strong or they’re not intelligent enough or simply because they live in the real world where nobody is as lucky as a TV actor. But I bet a lot of average dudes let out a lot of pent-up rage against their exes by writing awful things to Anna.

The hardest part of any production of this kind is the final performance and the immediate aftermath because you build a strong family dynamic with your fellow actors and crew only for it to end and be gone all at once. That part of acting, whether in a TV show, film, or on stage is extremely tough sometimes. But the best part of being part of something like this are the memories made along the way and the final product that continues to amaze people. Everyone on this show can look back and say they were part of something amazing. Truly a blessing. God bless these guys. :)

they hold hands for a brief second as walt begins to leave? i cant believe the angle they used for the episode hid that. skylar and walt are one of the most believable fictional couples. before all this, he was her bestfriend, lover, father of her kids, her rock and security. even after all walt did to harm their family, none of it was done to intentionally hurt the family. skylar knows that. skylar knows walt didnt mean for hanks death or any other troubles. now after all this time, even though its brief, she gets to have one last moment with the man who used to be the love of her life. when walt is gently admiring holly, you can see so much emotion in her eyes. i think if anything, skylar feels bad for walt more than anything when he leaves. she knows hes on his last legs, alone, on the run and headed off to his death by jake or cancer. just look at his body language, every word and movement is deliberate and slow. even if she wanted to rage at him or attack him, those emotions quickly melted away when she saw the state he was in.

Irritating to some people but her reactions were real. Even the part where she asked Walt to kill Jesse, that part is clearly rationalized because of her desperate attempt to protect the family. She has no idea what killing someone would feel like, and she's basing her reactions to Walt's reaction when he killed Fring, like somehow more relieved so she thinks she would feel the same way about Jesse.
