    I have the Versa 2, I’m planning to buy the Versa 4 but I’m still trying to research on the Versa 4, but this video gave me everything I needed.

    Really solid review but you should probably have mentioned the lack of 3rd party app support and music controls that everyone seems to be complaining about.. Google removed it from this model

    Excellent review of the Fitbit Versa 4. Thank you! Before purchasing I was wondering if you would suggest the Sense 2 versus the Fitbit Versa. I am a senior so would the extras of the ECG be beneficial? Also what do you feel of the stress app and the extras that Fitbit Versa 4 does not have. Need your advice. Thank you.

      Hi, thank you for the comment, much appreciated - and I'm glad the video was helpful.
      But let's quickly break down the Fitbit Sense 2 vs Versa 4, which may help you decide:
      - Sense 2 - this one can be a big plus. It can detect irregular heart rhythms, which can be important for early detection of conditions like atrial fibrillation (AFib).The Sense 2's stress app with its electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor can be helpful for managing stress, which is also a nice feature.
      - Versa 4 - good for fitness and it would be a good option if you're really into tracking workouts. It has tons of features for that. But if you're looking for that extra layer of health monitoring, the Sense 2 might be the way to go.
      Hope this helps.

      @@FamilyPopTV I thank you with much appreciation for writing back with such an informative and concise comparison between the two, to help and guide me. I thought of another thing to ask you for your opinion. Instead of the Fitbit, I was also now thinking of the Garmin Venu 3S. That would avoid the monthly premium subscription. However, do you feel considering this one would be good for my walking, ECG, sleep, etc. Or is the Fitbit, choosing from the Versa 4 or Sense 2, the way to go. I thank in advance for helping with this last watch I am considering with the fitbits! THANK YOU. Much appreciated your thoughts on this again>.

      @@jillo3952 Hello again! The Garmin Venu 3S is a very good alternative to consider. Let's quickly break it down for walking, ECG, and sleep tracking, etc, so then:
      - Fitbit Sense 2 (or Fitbit Versa 4) - If you're already familiar with Fitbit, their app is very user-friendly and has a large user base. The Sense 2's ECG is a big plus for monitoring your heart health, and the stress app can be helpful for managing everyday worries. Their sleep tracking is also considered some of the best. BUT…that subscription fee for some features, its just...frustrating.
      - Garmin Venu 3S - (this one obviously skips all that subscription fee nonsense) and has excellent built-in features. Garmin is known for their top-notch fitness tracking, so I think it'll be a good companion for your walks. It also has ECG and sleep tracking built-in. One of my work colleagues has a Garmin Venu and I had an impression that the interface was a little less intuitive (I mean, more complicated) than Fitbit's.
      Personally, I would say, Garmin. It might take a little longer to ‘learn the ropes’, navigate through menu and the app - Garmin makes high-quality wearables, thats for sure.
      Anyway, no matter which one you pick, I hope it helps you stay active, monitor your health, and enjoy your walks! And if you end up getting one - please let me know which one, in this thread!
      Best regards,
      Adam

      Thank you so much for writing back so quickly and thorough. This again has helped me your very concise evaluation and functions of both. I am now learning towards that but the learning curve i hope i would be able to navigate, which I am sure I would versus getting the more straightforward Fitbit Sense. I will let you know which one I choose. I am leaning still now after reading your thoughts, to get the Garmin and your co-worker has one so you have seen it, and I value your opinion. And you feel you would lean that way. The main thing indeed is that I get out that and start walking, keep moving, to keep myself healthy and I am thinking this will be fun for motivation to see. So far, I have been using my pedometer clipped on me. My appreciation and thanks again to you with which to select. @@FamilyPopTV

    Thanks, it's a good review for normal people who want a basic guidance od their health patterns. Some people, i imagine younger people want this to be their own personal doctor. It's all relative, evwn if the numbers are accurate people can tell a difference betwen yeaterday and today. It's like using a. Scale that is not exact, even with that you can measure results.

    I wonder if your stride number is just different than your manual counter. If that makes any sense. under settings. It’s really too bad it doesn’t work very good because I just got one in the mail. I bought with 35% off a couple days ago. I’m not impressed with its performance.

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Fitbit sets the walking and running stride length based on average measurements (personal data recorded in the profile - height and sex), and measured GPS distance divided by the number of steps made. This automated algorithm cannot be adjusted (like e.g in the cheaper chinese watches).
      I have returned my versa 4 becasue of this flaw - and because its limited functionality without subscribing to premium..

    • @Dustinthewind03
      @Dustinthewind03 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wanted to return mine but I would’ve been losing out on like $42 or some thing because I bought the protection plan for two years and the discount for premium for a full year. I almost did though. I’m just hoping they make it better with updates

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the good thing - google certainly will fix the bugs in the future firmware updates. I'm tempted to buy google watch instead, however the amount of mixed reviews puts me off and probably I'll give it some time before buy.

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      btw. if you got the protection plan - shouldn't they cancel it and refund you if you would return the watch? Please double check if there's any 30-days return/refund policy in regards to the protection plan, just to be sure.

    HRV on the Versa 4 is not accurate at all. It’s usually 40-65 points below actual.

    The watch has shit accuracy for working out. Look at actual fitness TH-camrs who do scientific measurements and track overall workouts with polar straps…..those breaks in accuracy you notice during the push-ups and after are THE TIMES ITS SUPPOSED TO BE ACCURATE!! The recovery period is easy and EVERY watch can do that. The hard part is staying with elevated and reduced heart rates. Garmin is better. Apple is exceptional. Polar chest straps are undisputed best. Fitbit is middle of the road at best

    • @FamilyPopTV
      @FamilyPopTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m glad fitness youtubers do what they do best and I don’t feel the need to watch their reviews and repeat what they already said; I done this little review from the family-dad-youtuber’s perspective. That doesn’t change the fact, Versa 4 is rubbish watch even for casual users, who don’t give a damn about fitness.
      Btw. Serious athletes won’t be bothered getting some Fitbit tracker, they’ll go for garmin or polar equipment, or whatever their sponsor gets them.
