My button on my versa 2 stopped working too. Thats why I'm here now checking reviews for the 4. Thanks for the unboxing and first look/use out of the box.
Thank you for your info. I have a Charge 5 and was looking at the Versa 4. Now for sure I will consider the Versa 2 instead. I am interested in only tracking steps, miles and sleep. I don't need additional features.
The Versa 2 was going to cost MORE than the 4, which is/was on sale. So I settled on the Charge 6, for which my Charge 5 bands will fit. Still, your video was helpful to me. The old adae "If it ain't broke..." applies here. I have worn the 5 and know the size is right for me. I probably won't use any "upgrade" features the 6 has over the 5. But the side button will be my friend. @@GearsAndTech
There was no mention that the Versa 4 doesn’t support certain apps anymore such as Spotify. So if you were looking to control your music from your watch you can no longer do that which was a big disappointment..
Just a heads up that fitbits are not waterproof. Just had my Fitbit Versa 3 die in the swimming pool. Thank you for the video as I will probably upgrade to the versa 4.
Just got my Versa 4. I’m no techie so some anything on devices is difficult. On my Versa 4, I don’t know what the 2 lower numbers are indicating. The chevron in the middle is a real mystery. I suppose the lower moon shape is for weather??
Alright, I recently tried out the Fitbit Luxe for the first time, and boy, was it a letdown! When I took it outdoors, I couldn't read a thing on the screen because it was as dim as a candle in a hurricane. This happened around 3 PM while it was raining and the clouds were darker than my morning coffee. Like seriously, what gives? I stumbled upon your video about the Fitbit Versa 4. I'm a newbie to Fitbit and smartwatches in general. My primary use for a Fitbit would be as a watch to check the time outdoors, count steps, monitor my heart rate, and keep an eye on stress levels. I'm not too fussed about the paid features. I've heard it comes with GPS, but can I completely turn that off? Can I use it as a standalone device, or does it require a constant connection to my phone? Speaking of brightness, is the Versa 4 any brighter than the Versa 2? I don't want a repeat of the Luxe fiasco. And finally, if it goes on sale for Black Friday, is it worth grabbing? as of right now the current price of $259 over here. Edit: when I took it outside I had it on max brightness mode.
I've never had a problem reading my 2 or 4 outside on the brightest days Battery lasts a week with all features on. But I have mine set to wake up when I push the button. I rarely check the time on it. It's connected to my phone, but does not need a phone connection all the time You could leave the phone in the car and go for a walk and if will log everything on its own. It just syncs to the phone when you open the app the next time. Trust me, for your use case you want teh longest battery time you can get. Stay away from apple. They can't even make it a day
This is the highest voted comment on this video and he gave an opinion that is obviously shared by most people and rather than learning from it you decide to try and be smart. I presume you are doing this as a commercial venture, if so then I would suggest that you take these comments as free research and adapt. You make high quality good content but it could be a lot better.
Why not mentioned the big difference, the built-in GPS? Is the heart rate accuracy improved? My Versa2 heart measuring is a joke during the activity (e.g. bicycling), I tried it and the reference was a Polar H7 strap. The Versa2 was much much inaccurate, my other optical sensor watch Garmin Venu SQ was much better. But the smartwatch features and the display is much better by the Fitbit, so my question: is the hert rate measuring improved from Versa2?
@@GearsAndTech I Will be ordering Fitbit versa 4 as Apple Watches don’t even last 24 hrs. And all I need is available in versa 4. Thanks For this Video.
fit bit watches are a joke, i work out 3 times a day on the treadmill 4 miles a day and fit bit claims i walk 800 steps ,then i pet my cat sitting on the couch and fit bit claims i took 400 steps ,what a joke

Thank you and I appreciate this review. I'm buying a new Versa, mine came apart in the water. It snapped back together and now screwy
My old one actually did the same
But I was in a hot tub
Is water the downfall of the Versa? Mine started acting up after going in the pool...died in the lake... currently looking into the versa 4😅
Thanks for the informative video

I only use it as a fitness tracker. So no tests for app control and such
oh hey, I'm also on a versa 2 planning to get on a versa 4.
It's still working good for me
I just got my versa 4 I love it
I'm still loving mine
Should I get versa 2 or 4 what's your recommendations
I like my 4. Still using it tofay
Thank you for the tips. It was very helpful. How do you customize your exercising.
I wish I could tell you about the exercising function. As you can tell from looking at me, I don't exercise a whole lot
Just a heads up that fitbits are not waterproof. Just had my Fitbit Versa 3 die in the swimming pool. Thank you for the video as I will probably upgrade to the versa 4.
I haven't had any water issues with my versa 2 or versa 4
Stay out of the hot tub though. It softens the glue and makes it not waterproof anymore
I have a versa lite, I’m ready for an upgrade

@@GearsAndTech thank you for your reply. With what you said is helpful toward helping me decide which to get. keep up the good work on the video!
First 7 minutes should have been edited to 1 minute or less. Good grief. I need your expertise on the functioning of the watch, not how to open a box.
I don't disagree. Luckily youtube has a skip forward feature. It let's you see the parts you want to see, but let's others see it too

A strap is always going to be more accurate
Do you recommend still getting the Versa 4 after making this video?
I'm still using the versa 4 today. Have not considered anything else
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
I need to be able to change time. Versa
Versa 4
Yes
How to set the time
One thing my son and daughters say do not put it in water. They found that it broke ther watches 😮
Avoid hot tubs. But otherwise it's fine
@@GearsAndTech OK
How do You know fitbit charger is better than other chargers just by pulling it off the box ?
I have magic fingers
Is it true that without paying premium membership, the Fitbit is useless?
No. I don't pay for the premium service

Are heart rate tracking fixed?😊
seemed to work fine for me.

Really the unboxing 🤔
How else will you know what's in the box if you buy one?

You have discovered a secret hack. I haven't been able to get a newer fitbit to be that inaccurate
@@GearsAndTechmine is pretty accurate. I usually compare it with my apple one
Almost an orgasmic reactoon to the box. Good grief.
Interesting observation
The worse fitbit Versa 4 . It is absolute garbage, don't buy it.😢
Weird, I'm still using my versa 4 and have no complaints
Crap
Did you buy one?
This wasn't very helpful
What would have made It better?
