Now I understood why everyone should not do BTechs BA MBA etc so called British education..... After few years we loose these great skills and craftsmen. I think we already lost many. But government aslo should recognise and save these craftsmen by helping them with standard income so that their children will have some hope to earn and intrest to do the work what their fathers did.
Govt can help by advertising them which would make more customers and the crafts men receiving money for the work will encourage craft
We, Britain lost a lot of trades/crafts when we moved to a service economy. I believe that an interest in crafts and trades has started with younger people. The only advice I give to younger people is try and do what you love. It's better to have a few unique hand made possessions than a lot of mass produced garbage.

I bought one of these silver puja lotas which has wonderful artistic repoussed and chased temple dancers around the outside. I wipe it over occasionally with a cotton cloth to shine the smooth parts and let the tarnish build up in the crevices to enhance the embellishment. I live in Britain and this beautiful thing is kept on a shelf in my living room. This is a really interesting video and I very much appreciate the skills of these remarkable hard-working silversmiths. I wish the best for their futures.

Trabajo de muchos individuos y no se andan con mamadas de sustitución de personas por máquinas...
Aunque sea así, pero hay empleos para muchos lo que origina que no se acabe la circulación del dinero!

I had same 4 manufacturing units in bangalore there manufacturing all types of silver vessels, lamps, antiques etc .. Now shut down all that.. because of labour problem jewelry shops owners asking under cost.
Sandil you need machinery to make these pots. If you were running like this no wonder you had to close down. They are using 100 years old process which is wasteful and labor-intensive. I would ask you would you work under these conditions? If you do not want to work in these inhuman conditions, why the labour force you expect you to work.

That's call,, 'araggu' in bangalore, 'chadarasm' in channai... Blue is sulfuric acid use to cleaning.
The black one is a natural wax. Helps in carving the utensil in a controlled manner.
