- Here is my take on this awesome pair of sneakers by Koio. They truly have set out to be the best. From the beautiful craftsmanship of the lux sneakers to the way they feel and look on the feet. These might just be the best white tennis I have seen. The answer is yes these are sweet.

Great job on the review. I'm on the fence between these and M.Gemi Lucente but I don't hear much about M.Gemi - any experience with them?
@Marty P get the M Gemi Lucente I have both, I like the Koio more but since the gen 2 changed up a lot especially taking out the margom sole they seem like a down grade now. I would personally get the M Gemi, still has margom sole and nothing really changed compared to the Koio.

How’s the heel/back portion of the shoe? I got the thursdayboots premiere low white, I had a cut on both heels after just two hours of use even with thick socks on. Im thinking of getting these koios.

Hi, can you please let me know about the sizing? I wear all star converse 41.5. how do they fit compared to all star converse?
I would go for a 41!
You mention to size down, does these not fit true to size?? I wear a size 10us in almost everything will a size 10us not fit ?

What size do you wear in other sneakers like Nike Kill shot 2 or other brands? Compared to the Koio’s? Seems you have smaller feet like me :)

Interesting. I bought the updated version of these and returned them. The toe box area was too wide (even after sizing down) idk how but I got the common projects (new) for a about the same price & very happy with them. I really wanted to like this I’m a big fan of d2c but all good.
I just did my research into that, and I’m genuinely disappointed in Koio. It’s hard to find the base colors of Common Projects on sale but I see where you’re coming from. I’m definitely going to be doing a review of the new version and talking about the price increase. Thanks for watching!
I just received my Gen 2 Capris in triple white. I’m disappointed in the lack of quality control. There was a large crease on the side of upper on one shoe. The other had a large vein across the length of upper that makes it look a crease and was very unsightly. Outsole wasn’t properly glued and there were large gaps between upper and outsole. Also, the leather on the toebox was frayed. I’m exchanging them for a new pair that I hope has better quality.
It’s sad because I received a pair of Beckett Simonon’s that were better quality than the Koio’s at half the price.
I have 12 pairs of these. I gotta say, archibald London is much better and I adore Koio btw

I bought 3 Capris last year and I love them all. Bought my 4th Capri this October and I am a little disappointed. They made some changes. The new soles are no longer Margom and the leather is a bit wrinkly. I think they are sourcing their leathers from a new supplier. Still not enough for me to switch to the much more expensive Achilles but I wish Koio stuck with their old specs
I think they will go back. Italy got hit so hard by covid. I’ll keep them prayer up!
i hate when companies do these kind of things ,,,once their products gained traction and gathered a good amount of following of customers , they cut corners to saved money for more profit and watered-down their product ,,,,,,,,, big companies like nike and adidas do this all the time !!!
Koio new soles are only 40% rubber… i think Margom if not is 100% …. 👎

@@gracefultowels3283- My experience could be just a one off, but I already ordered 3 Capris when they were still using the old leather and Margom soles. All I could say is that the quality of the shoes were very consistent for my first 3 orders and when I got the new version, it was noticeably different and not in a good way. I ordered the blue leather and even in the pictures, the leather was wrinkly. The other models look better in pictures so maybe they are better in person.
I’ve experimented with lots of brands and honestly, KOIO is easily one of the best but if there is one brand that can match it, in terms of bang for buck, I would say it’s M Gemi. They are still using Margom soles. However, I am only speaking about their white and black models. For other colors, I guess KOIO is it

Common Projects can be had on sale for $250-300 easily - Koioi upped their prices to $295 for the Capri which is absurd

Koio outdoes common projects, it’s better and doesn’t cost as much as common projects, especially since for common projects it’s just the name brand, compared to koio who’s made with better quality and if you seen koio being cut in half you’ll notice how it just outlasts the name brand common projects
