Being able to pin the display is a big feature. Ive used a couple of the virtual screens using my oculus and that feature is very important. it feels more like a real screen is projected in front of you.

@@tristan30345 it's not possible to record the exact image...he's recording from outside the glasses so it looks bad. The actual screen is not low quality
They need to increase the quality, FPS and the ability to use em as a quality studio display for my editing. Be cool to have multiple displays in the 130" and be able to zoom into/move to different display during work. Would love to edit more comfortably.
I have these and I have the Xreal Beam coming in the post. They're now called Xreal Air. They plug into anything that has displayport over USB-C. It does 1080p 60hz and in this short he's wearing the cover that goes over the glasses, otherwise they are like normal sunglasses. They work by projecting the image and it uses glass inside to focus into your vision. Since it's just a static display (though a very big looking display), it's better to use the black out cover to prevent nausea if you have a weak stomach. I'm getting the Beam soon and that's an add on the glass that gives you an anchored image, allowing you to move your head with the display set in place. It can get a bit expensive, you're looking about $500 for the glasses plus the Beam, or about $380 for the glasses alone. But they do give you a portable high definition OLED like cinema screen so it's pretty good IMO.
@@midasgamespace Can I just ask one thing though, please give your Steam Deck room to breath, seeing it sat on the pillow like that with the back intake covered in giving me anxiety. 😂

It actually doesn't seem that expensive for what it is or even compared to just a regular TV, VR, Monitors, etc. It fits right in for what it offers. For under $400 you can get a low end 4k tv at about 32-40 inches. For under $400 you can buy a quest 2. For under $400 you can buy a small portable USB C monitor. Fpr under $400 you can buy a decent PC monitor. Now tell me how a small compact pair of glasses with video and audio is any more or less pricey than any of those? Its not.
Audio is shit, & tbh a tv is much more comfortable despite less portable. Glasses also dont offer 4k & dont come with the ability to charge n play with portable. I wouldnt say the value is great.

No, with steam deck it can only mirror the display, 3D/AR features require nebula app and it works with only a few devices and it works shitty. These are only good as a portable usb-C display, but in that role they are great when they work right. I have issues with them disconnecting at steam deck battery under 50% and I see a lot of posts with the same problem, likely an issue with power draw. Buy only if you want to beta test it.
