Herb/alch go so well with Cooking and fishing. You need oils for alchemy from fish, and stranglekelp is an important plant. For cooking, you have something to do with those fish that are not materials for oils. Classic professions are lowkey so synergistic, its crazy to see qhat retail profs are. I preferred the old ways
I really love how many profession recipes in Classic tie into other professions so it fosters an even greater community by helping other people with different profs.
you missed the most important flaw for enchanting in hardcore. if you aren't trading it is impossible to progress enchanting because the silver rod through the arcanite rod is made by blacksmiths. so if you aren't trading or juggling blacksmithing, mining, and enchanting you can not level past like 190 ish which is when the enchants swap to using the runed silver rod instead of the runed copper rod. and to get max enchants you would need to lvl as blacksmith to lvl 275 to make the arcanite rod then relevel enchanting, or buy the rods.
@@mateusnascimento7948 yes but there will still be people who follow the HC Rules, and he mentioned the hc rule problems for the other profs jut not enchanting
That's their problem lol what a pointless comment. There is absolutely no reason to avoid trading when hardcore is hardcore enough having only 1 life.@@relensha7804
With AH available, proffesions will be even better, like the leather needed for the goggles you mentioned. Engi is best for survivability. Alch is second best, might make you some gold as well with AH.
You use engineering to craft the salt shaker, and then you could swap to leatherworking so you can make the cured rugged hide. But with AH being available at classic hardcore, then it won't be needed :)
probably going to do enchanting and tailoring in the beginning to get my wand (playing priest) and get some 6/8slotters, then will backtrack and get engineering and mining for bombs and training dummy for survival.
@@GuideMMO on mages i never had to use them because of aoe grind matches conjured food. @@OliverMichael7 I use bandages all the time when I aoe as a mage, right after my first frost nova. On warlock you can dot up, life tap and first aid to save mana. But yeah you can for sure level without first aid, it's just a stupid thing if you need healing in combat.
I will be a Troll Warrior going Blacksmithing and mining. No matter how good the other options are on official :D Farming ores will be a pain tho But in all fairness. I leveled 2 hardcore warriors to level ~40 . One with alchemy and one with engineering. Both professions were superior to anything else I tried. (did blacksmith on my pala) Alchemy was amazing for leveling as a warrior. You ALWAYS had a potion on you. And I just knew I can always use them in my pulls since I get so many. Engineering was probably the best for surviving and the grenates are fun but it was mostly the early goggles and especially the target dummy which saved me a lot of times when I was being stupid / careless. Btw. Cooking is amazing for warriors. It is just sometimes time consuming to keep it up to level but it was super worth it long term. Fishing was usually more fun, complimentary to cooking and a money maker when fishing up treasures you see around. But felt mandatory for alchemy in the mid levels 20-40
You're going to want Alch and Engi, funded by your main or the gold you send to your bank alts before your character dies so you can start the next character with lots of extras.
@@jaredfulcher4890t’s on you just like it is now. Use the add on if you want. It’s getting old hearing everyone complaining about blizz letting people play the game how they want. Yep, what I hope for is one official HC server where mailboxes and AH don’t exist, you can only have one character. Just one. It would make in-game trading very interesting and create a wonderful community.
people just being dumb IMO. Hardcore means 1 life it doesnt mean no trading or grouping i dont care what the stupid addon rules were. Anything else is a choice to handicap yourself further in a game that truly was not designed to be played without ever dying.

If AH continues to stay a thing, then I’ll go engineering + alchemy for ultimate survival

Best professions for mage ???
What do you mean you cant trade with anyone ? On official server you will be able to
