Even though non-muslims try to use this story of the Satanic Verses against Islam, it actually backfires on them spectacularly. Let me explain. According to the story of the Satanic Verses, the Prophet(pbuh) was tricked by Satan into reciting polytheistic verses in praise of the pagan gods. Afterwards, the Angel Gabriel came and informed the Prophet that he had been tricked by Satan into reciting these pagan verses. Now let's think about this. If non-muslims keep insisting that this story is true, then that would mean they have to accept that Satan exists. They would also have to accept that Prophet Muhammad was a true prophet because the Angel Gabriel was coming to him with revelation, and Satan was opposing him. Why would Satan even bother trying to oppose a false Prophet?? Isn't a false prophet already taking people to hell with him, so why would Satan even bother tricking him? By using this story the non-muslims are actually shooting themselves in the foot. If they insist on using this story and claiming that it is authentic, then we Muslims will insist that they accept Prophet Muhammad as a true prophet of God, who was receiving visitations from the Angel Gabriel, and at the same time, had Satan trying to distort the holy monotheistic message he was receiving from God. Both the Quran and ahadith relate the mesmerizing effect the recitation of the Quran had upon both believers and disbelievers. Regardless of contents, the language itself, like captivating music, had such impact upon a people known for their deep appreciation of eloquent language and poetry, that they would call it magic, sorcery, produced with assistance of the jinn etc. The staunchest enemies of the prophet would listen in secret to the recital of the Quran at night. These were a people who recognized and understood, highly valued eloquent speech. As stated in the video, they would fall down prostrate in admiration of the most eloquent poets. This is a point difficult to recognize unless one is familiar with the standards of the Arabic language, and the culture of the time. As an illustration, we may see even today, people loving a type of music regardless of how conflicting with their values the lyrics are, even dancing to it.

Like what most of the brothers said, may Allah reward them with good. The funny thing about the matter is that those who insist that the hadith of the Satanic Verses are true are the same ones who reject the proven hadiths that we say are true. Indeed, Satan has covered their hearts.
The irony is, if christians believe those reports then they believe that angel Gabriel corrected him (ﷺ). If they don’t believe in those ones being authentic then they agree with us on this topic. So are they claiming it happened or didn’t happen?
@Anon-uv9mj. You’re misunderstanding the Christian perspective on this. If Satan was capable of disguising himself and appearing to Muhammad giving him sura najm and Muhammad accepted it and bowed down in honour of this revelation while had ZERO clue that this is from Satan. Then why should I trust Muhammad when he claims the angel gabriel came and corrected him? I believe Muhammad when he says an angel gabriel re appeared and CLAIMED to correct him, but I don’t believe Muhammad when he says that this is truly the angel gabriel. It could literally be Satan again. If Satan successfully fooled him the first time and went unnoticed, then I have no good reason to believe Muhammad for his other angel visitations as being from true angel. Once a prophet receives a revelation from Satan and accepts it, then they lose all credibility. All the other dreams, visions, visitations from the supposed angel could’ve been Satan the entire time.
I do not believe that waswas and wahi can be felt in the same way. All humans experience waswas but only Prophets got wahi. No doubt a Prophet would recognise if he got wahi or not. There are Hadiths to support how the Prophet felt when he got wahi and the physical difficulty that came with it.
Farid this is fully unrelated to this vid but I bought an epilator today and gave it a try on my underarms. It was extremely painful but I immediately get why it’s more beneficial to do it
Would anyone consider the prophet serious if such an event had occurred ? A prophet that the main message is to get rid of idolatry and to worship God alone, people start following him, and then suddenly would have praised their God and prostrated ? You would think then that they would have considered him serious ? The reality is that the first sahaba wich followed the prophet pbuh never left him, this event is a fabrication. Also I was wondering how the narrator would have gotten the information about the conversation between Jibreel and the prophet, we would have a narration from the prophet himself.
The truth is that the polytheists prostrated after hearing the Prophet’s recitation of this surah and the prostration at the end and not during it The polytheists, when asked why did you prostrate, claim this myth and lie to justify prostration The truth is, the Prophet did not read what they claim
The story makes zero sense. The prostation comes at the end of the surah. The Surah includes verses condemning the idols. And the prophet pbuh read the whole surah at the alleged incident. Why would the prophet pbuh praise the idols and then comdemm them moments later in the same reading. The story logically doesn't make sense without even having to note the missing transmission.
Does the Hadith narrated by ibn Abbas mean all the human beings in the world or all the human beings in that area? If the latter, why did he feel the need to say that when he already said the Muslims & the pagans who would've been the only human beings there anyway
There were muslim followers as well. Everybody who heard his recitation of surah najm (not part of surah najm) other than some random humans here and there prostrated when the surah after using powerful language ended with "So prostrate to Allah and worship him".

It seems far more believable that Muslim editor would remove an embarrassment, than add one, embarrassing hadith are also less likely to be popular and thus have less chains. On balance the satanic verses is more likely to be true...
I have listened to the lecture of yasir qadhi on satanic verses. Why surah hajj verses 22:52 & 53 were revealed, is there any relation between satanic verses with hajj verses mentioned above. Because when polytheists bowed with Muhammad the people who went to abyssinia returned to mecca learning that Muhammad accepted intervention of idols? Please make a detailed lecture on this issue. Also make video on prophet Muhammad and maria. Did hafsa catch them in her house when she had gone to meet her father is this incidence also true?
@@FaridResponds I agree with this point. Yasir Qadhi, however casts doubt that the entire surah was revealed in Medina, and says that when a surah is said to be revealed in either Mecca or Medina, it does not mean the entire surah was revealed in that location, but just the majority of the surah. He essentially makes it seem that certain verses of surat al-Hajj may have been revealed in Mecca and then later reorganized into the Mushaf in surat al-Hajj (which obviously is predominantly Meccan just based on the references to a multitude of Medinan events). Qadhi's argument seems very contrived of course. Allahu a'lam.
Regarding the Mariah (ra) incident... The correct, more authentic version is that it was actually Zainab (ra) who had given some Honey to the Prophet (saw) then Aisha & Hafsah (raa) conspired together to say what they said. The Mariah (ra) story does not make sense from another angle. She lived 3 kilometres away from the nine homes of the Prophets wives which were next to masjid nabawi. And the Prophet (saw) would visit her there. It makes no sense that the Prophet (saw) would send a message to her (3km) to come to Hafsah's home (+3km) then go back again (+3km)!
@@FaridResponds Jazakallahu khairan. I agree, and it seems highly unusual that a single Meccan verse would be placed in the middle of what is obviously a predominantly Medinan surah based on the topics that it addresses. Unless there is a reason to believe that it is Meccan (which there is not), the default would be to assume that the verse is Medinan like the rest of the surah. My comment got deleted. Science is still discovering new organs in the human body. As for the definition of the word "Brain", it differs. There are 2 independent brain hemispheres in your head. There are 3 or 4 Brains in your head doing autonomous & controlled actions. There is an independent mini Brain in the Gut. Search for "second brain in our stomachs" ....tbc

Farid ignores one of the surest lenses of historical study - the criterion of embarrassment. In short, it means that embarrassing details about historical figures, when sourced from devotees of that figure, are taken as more likely authentic than flattering stories. Because one might fabricate flattering accounts to bolster one's position, but nobody would fabricate unflattering accounts. So Muslims need to admit that, just as smoke indicates there must be some kind of fire, somewhere... the many mentions of the Satanic Verses incident indicates that there must be a reason that this account was introduced to the record. To the objective observer, the Satanic Verses would seem to be one of the MOST trustworthy events in Islamic history.
The criterion of embarrassment doesn't apply here because the report is used as a proof of prophethood due to Gabriel correcting the recitation + sincerity of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Also, the criterion of embarrassment is overrated and only has weight in civilizations in which matn criticism is given priority. The isnad system makes it obsolete.
The criterion of embarassment wouldn't apply in this case as the main of objective of the fabricators of Hadith was not to deviate islam in particular way, it was just to create random misinformation

The irony is, if christians believe those reports then they believe that angel Gabriel corrected him (ﷺ). If they don’t believe in those ones being authentic then they agree with us on this topic.
So are they claiming it happened or didn’t happen?
Exactly.👍
Lol
Exactly, it's a win win situation for us either way lol 😂

JazakAllah Khair brother Farid, excellent video 💕
Some people try to link surah hajj (22) verses 52-53 to satanic verses incident, how do we explain the error in this?
Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 52:
And We did not send before you any apostle or prophet, but when he desired, the Shaitan made a suggestion respecting his desire; but Allah annuls that which the Shaitan casts, then does Allah establish His communications, and Allah is Knowing, Wise,
Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 53:
So that He may make what the Shaitan casts a trial for those in whose hearts is disease and those whose hearts are hard; and most surely the unjust are in a great opposition,

Salam,Br Farid Can i Ask Something?
I have listened to the lecture of yasir qadhi on satanic verses. Why surah hajj verses 22:52 & 53 were revealed, is there any relation between satanic verses with hajj verses mentioned above. Because when polytheists bowed with Muhammad the people who went to abyssinia returned to mecca learning that Muhammad accepted intervention of idols? Please make a detailed lecture on this issue. Also make video on prophet Muhammad and maria. Did hafsa catch them in her house when she had gone to meet her father is this incidence also true?
Surat al Hajj was revealed in Madinah, so it is irrelevant.
@@bigdawgification There are no authentic reports that place this verse in Makkah.
Btw, Shaykh Farid, what do you think of the Yaqeen article on the Prophet's Marriage to Zaynab bint Jahsh? Did you find the conclusions of the paper compelling?

until he does, (1) the heart is used like this in every language. even scientists might say "my brain say X but my heart says Y". In other words, its a part of the language (2) although I think the answer is as in part 1, there are actually neurones in the heart (3) we still don't know if consciousness resides in the brain. the brain cannot currently explain first person experience. brain injuries do not prove it, because the brain might be the tool rather than the actual actor.
When they mean the heart, they are talking about the spiritual soul, not the physical organ

The Satanic verses was a real incident. The Quran itself records it. Don't need to make excuses.
The criterion of embarassment wouldn't apply in this case as the main of objective of the fabricators of Hadith was not to deviate islam in particular way, it was just to create random misinformation
Fabricated sayings (mauthu') on even mundane things unrelated to the prophet's character exist, so your reasoning is flawed.
