Jazakullah for this much needed video. I remember many years ago when I started watching the Seerah series with Yassir Qadhi, one thing that always troubled me and didn't sit well was when he was explaining the Stanic versus and how many of the famous well known scholars (he mentioned the names of the heavy weights) sided with believing Shatan actually tricked the prophet pbuh into thinking he was Jibreel. I could not believe what I was hearing and since then, I have asked so many "people of knowledge" and never received an answer until today. Subhanallah and may Allah forgive him, he made no mention that this hadeeth was a fabrication! I wonder how many people he has led astray just from this very video he posted.

Then the Shaytaan put words into the mouth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he said: ‘they are the exalted gharaneeq, whose intercession is to be hoped for.’ The kuffaar (disbelievers) were pleased with this praise of their three idols, so they prostrated.”
This report is undoubtedly false on a number of counts.
1. Its isnaad is very weak and is not saheeh (authentic).
2. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was infallible with regard to the conveying of his Message.
3.Even if this report was saheeh, for argument’s sake, the scholars have stated that it is to be understood as meaning that the Shaytaan caused the kuffaar to hear these words, not that he put them in the mouth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), so they heard them from him.
See Ibn Katheer’s refutation of this in his tafseer (Quranic interpretation) of Soorat al-Hajj 22:52.

(1) Verses on Stoning and 10 sucklings are lost because a domestic goat eat the material on which those were written - Sunan Ibn Majah Vol 3 Hadis 1944, (2) Verse of Bir Mauna about Shahids - "Inform our people that we have met our Lord. He is pleased with us and He has made us pleased" - is also lost- Sahi Bukhari Volume 4 Hadis 69, (3) Verse on SADKA that was to give to Prophet if someone wanted to meet him privately - is also lost - page 1437, Quranic Tafsir of Mufti Shafi- translated by Muhiuddin Khan. Baseless claim that some past scholars of hundreds of years apart in different countries said those references were correct, weak, false etc. is not enough; we need to know exactly who, when, why, on what authority decided about their correctness. And if those are correct, then we need to know exactly who, when, why, on what authority repealed/cancelled Allah's verses in the Quran. Peace.
You're talking about abrogated verse, which Allah abrogated himself. Allah says in the same Qur'an that this thing is possible. Stop trying to make it seem any differrent. The abrogated verses are not considered Qur'an and shouldn't be read, if they're abrogated in pronunciation. And some verses are abrogated in both ruling and pronunciation, and some in ruling only.

Doesnt Ibn Hajar say that it has a base the whole story of Gharaneeq? Im not sure if he accepted it as sahih, but I believe some scholars who saw the narration had a base like Ibn Hajar tried to harmonize between those narrations and the muslim belief. Because in the end, even if we assume for the sake of argument the story could be true, it doesnt contradict our belief.
