The brilliant thing about this show is how it not only recontextualizes Johnny by showing the "other side of the story" between him and Daniel, but it continues to do this throughout the show, following characters on both sides of feuds. No one is perfect and they each have their own reality they live in, affected by their backgrounds and choices and such. Some characters even act as peacemakers, seeing, like much of the audience does, how ridiculous and carried away these people often get. It's dramatic but self aware.

8:52 Technically, in real karate, if you’re getting in a fight you need to strike first (like Cobra Kai says). It’s not to be an aggressor, it’s so you don’t get hurt and can be safe. They were obviously already gonna kick Miguel’s ass, so he struck first. Turns out that wasn’t going to go well with where he is right now.

    • @carlosreneaguilarwellmann2760

INDEED. In martials arts, your chances to win increase if you strike first. 🐍

    • @Logan_Baron
      @Logan_Baron 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Yes, when I trained in martial arts, we were taught to first try to avoid a fight. Walk away. Even run away. BUT when you know a fight is going to happen......... Well as bad as Cobra Kai taught by Kreese is, yes you strike first and you strike hard. Trying to take them out in one hit, incapacitate them. Only try to do pain, rather than breaking bones, because they're more likely to be humbled if they're just taken down, while if you break bones they're more likely to want revenge.

It is admirable to see Johnny from Cobra Kai making an effort to improve himself as a Sensei, father, and person. However, it is important for him to realize that his juvenile behavior will eventually hold him back from truly growing and becoming the best version of himself. It is necessary for him to let go of old habits and mindsets in order to truly evolve and mature.

Thinking high schoolers aren't that mean shows you had an unusually positive experience, which is nice! Sadly, that isn't the reality, and I would argue that in a lot of cases it's WAY worse than depicted in shows like this. I was never negative to anyone, and kept completely to myself in high school. Yet, I was hit with open burritos at lunch, punched a few times, pantsed, robbed on 4 different occasions, made fun of on a daily basis for anything and everything about my appearance, my backpack was lit on fire, people followed me home and threw rocks through my window... the list goes on. This was across 3 different schools and all for absolutely zero reason other than I was passive, alone, and an easy target. It's not a horribly unique experience, either. You should feel very lucky.

Besides that I also understand that the producers MEANT to be that way since this was core form the teenager movies from the 80's and that is exactly what this show does so greatly ... to rescue that 80's feeling and make a "karate war" beliavable again. This is even mocked by Daniel and Amanada constantly in the show like a 4th wall braking :) also the balance between Johnny and Daniel in the show is a reflex from what happened on their past and this environment (with bullies and schools looking like the ones form the 80's movies) are important for the sinergy of the show to work.

As someone who has taken Karate growing up as well as Tae Kwon Do, Miguel striking first like that in the locker room was the right decision, especially when he is outnumbered you want to strike first not wait for them to attack so you can reduce the numbers allowing you to focus 1 on 1 engagements. being defensive only waiting for someone to attack you is not always a good decision to make when defending yourself some times striking first is the best option.

That Wesley Snipes reference "...Black guy with the tax problems...BLADE!" Was WAY too good of a reference. 🤣🤣🤣
You're 4 episodes in, you better buckle up because this is gonna be one hell of a ride!

Guys, just don't even try to get the reality into this girl's head. All the " adults wrote this, highschoolers are not that mean" thing is just a testament of how some people get it easy in their life. But hey, really, just look at her, she would literally be one of Sam "mean girls" friends. Kids were not nice in school, they were nice TO YOU in school cuz you pretty, some of them probably wanted you to spit on his face and everything

Johnny is just way too adorable. and as someone who dealt with homophobic bullying in highschool, the portrayal of how useless/out of touch the teachers and the administration in dealing with bullying made me howl laugh in how accurate they were.

The best superpower for anyone to choose is always telekinesis..... Cause with telekinesis, you can not only move other things but move yourself, meaning you can fly move molecules faster so that they catch fire. So you can make fire, you can make molecules. Less active and make things cold, so you can make ice. And because you'll probably have a sense of those molecules, you'll be able to sense the molecules in people's brains and with practice, learn to read the firings of neurons to have somewhat of a predictive capability for people and somewhat of a lie detector as well. Telekinesis also comes generally a reflexive telekinetic barrier around your body. So that, as a reflex, when you're about to be injured, if you see it coming, there is a field of telekinetic energy that protects you. So you could potentially get shot, and it wouldn't harm you

You'll also learn to *feel* movement around you, even if you can't see it. Like radar. Be able to feel motion through walls and such. Which means you can also feel behind you. Making you harder to surprise. You might even be able to feel hostile intent/aggression via the neurons firing as mentioned earlier. So you might develop a danger sense, especially with those two sub-abilities in play.

@tearstoneactual9773 then going into using it for healing others, repairing injuries on a cellular level by using your control of cells to adjust the lenses in your eye to focus and have at least telescopic and microscopic vision. Then using that cellular manipulation to self regenerate which could potentially anti-aging capabilities (potentially imortal if desired).

The best super power is liquid transmutation: the ability to instantly change any liquid into any other liquid. It's extremely OP, as the only limit to what you could do would be your own imagination.

I went from a tiny 7th grade class in the mountains to 8th grade in a giant junior high school in California. It all depends on the size and location. In 7th grade we all got along because there weren't enough students to form cliques. In 8th grade both I and my best friend got punched in the face in the middle of different classes on different days while the respective teacher's backs were turned.

The actual problem in Ep 3 is that Miguel got the kick off, then stopped. If he'd kept moving, he probably could've made a go of it, but he got freaked out the moment after he did the kick.

Hiya how are you doin 💕😊. Time for another two episodes of season 1 Cobra 🐍 Kai with new characters. You get to see Daniel's daughter Sam laRusso. Miguel Johnny's student and demitri and Eli also known as hawk which you gave a new name later on and the Halloween party at school once again Miguel is beaten up by Kyle another bully 😡. Johnny is opening up his new dojo and he is out adding with new students while Daniel is the new car salesman with his wife and family. We get to see Robbie Johnny's own son but instead he is teaching his own student Miguel to become a badass but his mom is telling Johnny not to trained Miguel no more which is looks bad for Johnny getting accused 😢. So I hope you enjoyed these two episodes of Cobra 🐍 Kai. Stilke first strike hard no mercy 👊 💛. Cool 😎. Cobra 🐍 Kai never dies 11:11😢 think fast! 16:57🦶💬 17:10👊! 18:25👊! "he's getting there". I liked it too!! 19:33😊💬!! Stay cool Vicky 😎👌.
