- The Frank Frazetta Art Museum in Boca Grande, Florida was reopened, March 2020. This museum was the second museum location opened by Frank and Ellie Frazetta in 1995. Since the passing of Frank, the art collection was divided amongst Frazetta’s four children. This museum houses the exclusive art collection of Holly Frazetta, which was also displayed in earlier years at San Diego Comic Con, SXSW and Wizard World Comic Con. The museum is set to reopen to the public January 2021 by appointment only. Love, the Frazetta Girls.

As an illustrator in the Fantasy and Science Fiction world, I have never experienced anything so world shattering as seeing actual, original Frazetta art. I saw these paintings at a show in Manhattan, and it was jaw-dropping. If you know his work, you will realize that you don't actually know his work. If you haven't encountered Frazetta before, I can only imagine that the experience is similar to wandering into the Sistine Chapel because a friend of yours said, " Hey, it's kind of cool religious art."
The Frank Frazetta Art Museum in Boca Grande, Florida has been added to my bucket list.
I was fortunate enough to see the collection at his museum in Pennsylvania and would love to visit the one in Boca! The paintings are so much more vibrant in person than one would imagine! SO COOOOOL!!!
Will be visiting in 2022! Can't wait!
Wonderful. This is the first I’ve heard of this museum in Boca Grande. I’ve been to the one in Stroudsburg PA several times - seeing Frank’s work in person in 1989 revolutionized my work and my outlook. Hats off to Frazetta Girls for keeping the live experience alive!

Seeing the paintings in real life looks very different than in a book, they literally pop off the canvas, everything is so 3 dimensional.
I’ve got to get down there to see these paintings before I die. 10 hours from me.

Love the video - thank you! Been a big fan of Mr. Frazetta's art since I read the Conan series paperbacks in the summer of '76 while attending college at UF. Had to take a few electives and stayed in Gainesville that summer renting a small place with 3 others friends from my hometown. Lot of free time - so going through all the Conan books was a fantastic opportunity. I get a Frazetta calendar every year - his legacy lives on in my home! I liked that I could hear Frank again by way of that recording. I miss that guy, Ellie too. A pair of singularly remarkable, but human, people. I kind of miss vexing Ellie. Great art. But that's a given.
Are there any plans to reopen in 2021? I was planning to visit last year but coronavirus shut us all down.
Unfortunately not. In February most places were still shut down. We hope to see you in 2022.
So as I understand the collection was drafted between the 4 kids one quarter in Stroudsburg one quarter in Florida? Where’s the other 1/2, I want to say the other brother keeps his at the costume shop he owns? But I’d love to know more I’m fascinated by this draft and would have loved to witness that but I realize the family’s doesn’t want to relive those times 😢

The collection was divided by Frank Frazetta before he passed away. There are now multiple museums and exhibits.

Sadens me to see that the art of Frank is split in half... it all belongs to the museum so everybody can see it.

What happened to 'Berserker'? Has it been sold? Is it at the museum?
That sold long ago, my friend. Kirk Hammett purchased Conan The Conquerer “Berserker” from Ellie and Frank in early 2000s or so.
@@FrazettaGirls thank you for reply. Conan The Conqueror was the first work that fueled my love of Frank's work, although as a boy, his version of Vampirella fueled my boyhood, lol.
It’s one of his very best works. It was being exhibited in Kirk Hammetts traveling show. Unfortunately due to covid they’ve been canceled but I’m sure he will be back touring in 2021. He has a great collection of art.
Really wish the 4 siblings would combine their collections into a proper, somewhat complete museum in a static location that can be visited.
I’m sorry you missed when that happened. San Diego Comic Con, SXSW and Wizard World Exhibits had the majority of the siblings collections. Keep an eye out for events.
