Frank is the reason I wanted to be an artist. Love his style, color, strokes of brilliance. Look forwarding to visiting one day this year as I was born in Melbourne and grew up in Cocoa Beach. Great choice made in homes, well worth the 3 paintings!

Watched the tour...and it reminded me of another aspect of your grandfathers work...his range. Everything from comic characters to westerns to Battlestar Galactica to pure portraiture. And the Death Dealer. (Every wargamer who painted fantasy miniatures back in the 70's through today has a Death Dealer miniature in his collection. Bought mine at a Gen-Con convention...dealer even threw in an addition of his own...Barbarian booty, a fairly nice female figure that curled over the horse right behind the saddle. The lady was...unclad. Cost a quarter. Worth it.)
I spent my childhood life in the West End area & brought my own children up in that area as well .Stroudsburg Pa was a 20 min drive I taught my children about Mr Frazetta they also appreciate his talent. We now live in FL. We just agreed where the next weekend trip will be ... Thank you for sharing more of his extraordinary talent.

I always wonder if is it possible for the Frazetta Estate to work with the Howard Estate to license our books and comics together. I always saw the Death Dealer as a character that lives in Howard's Hyborean Universe. Howard created that world, and Frazetta defined its look and tone through his paintings of Conan. I always wonder had Robert E Howard not tragically taken his own life and met Frazetta and seen the paintings he did based off his characters and the world he made would they have been great friends?
Flashman at the Charge! The Dancer From Atlantis, Amazing works. I just wish someone had had the brains to commission a Frazetta cover for Heinlein's Glory Road.
Many years ago I had the privilege of visiting the Frazetta Museum when it was in Pennsylvania and met Ellie, Franks wife. It was a bucket list moment that I still remember fondly. The only thing that would have made it better was if I had met Frank himself while there. Being able to see the works of art in person that I had seen in books and on covers was amazing.
I remember his "Flashman" covers. Interesting because he managed to put out an apparently "heroic" figure...and still managed to capture the "I'm actually a yellow coward" the Flashman character never denied in the novels. Just look at his eyes in the cover painting for "Flashman at the Charge."

Excellent excursion back to my childhood. In my mind’s eye, any subhuman is a Frazetta subhuman. It’s always been that way.
His artwork was a big inspiration when I was learning to sketch back then.
