    Kukonki is certainly one to watch this season for his development. An exciting prospect. What youngster do you think has the best chance of breaking through under Ruben Amorim? 👇

      Kukonki has a great physique, he is really competent with the ball, he can even cross a ball well, however, his defensive game is the one that should excel but unfortunately is still shaky. He has difficulties in reading the development of the play, especially when he defends high, and therefore has poor positioning and anticipation skills. He needs to work a lot on his defensive game.
      On the other hand, there are two academy prospects that I would like to see develop into great senior player: Mantato and Thwaites.
      Mantato is the first I think will break into the first team, he is very good 1 v 1, fast, direct, good finisher and has also played as a LB for the academy. He is left footed which will appeal to Amorim’s preference to have a left footed RWB.
      The other one I really like is Jim Thwaites. He was promoted this year to U18s, he is 16 at the moment and he’s like a Scholes regen with a blend of Beckham. He is a great passer of the ball and possesses a good shot from outside the area. He is also a great free kick taker, has already scored 2 goals form free kicks, and is also competent with keeping the ball and developing the game.

    I get it. He's 16 and 6 foot 5. Very impressive physical attributes. Even more impressive when you realise he still has about 2 more years of growing to do. He has a man's physique. But psychologically and mentally, is he already a man like Wayne Rooney was at the same age? Also, is he equipped for the modern game? Is he press resistant? Can he progress the ball out from the back when he's being pressed with either a good forward run or a good pass? I'm excited but let's not rush him in. Let's ease him in.

    • @grishawinner6727

      Well said, sometimes I think our fan base gets excited over literally everything 😂. He’s an exciting prospect but we’ve always had many of those. Time will tell if he’s the real deal but there’s no need to rush or pressure these kids. Some mature faster as you said about Rooney and currently Yamal at Barca, but they are very rare talents.

    • @SebsGoalkeeping
      @SebsGoalkeeping หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Normally when you are 6’3+ at 16 you grow more outwards instead of upwards unlike kids who are shorter and have the bone density to grow. Most likely will stay at 6’5 but still a massive player.

The hype(fully justified) had gone to his head and he wanted to win the game on his own. The interplay with Scanlon on the left hand side that had been so rewarding in the previous game had all but disappeared.

    don’t over exaggerate average player…they have to show their quality by attracting interest from championship clubs at least.. it will help massively to gain experience…we don’t have quality player alike chelsea and city…city just sold delap for 25m but we sold dan james 25 million and our so called golden boy hanibal for 2m lol🥶

    It doesn’t matter if he is massive. You can be top of the crop and be Kante’s size. What matters is if he’s that big will he be Peter Crouch or Yaya Toure/Zlatan

    He's still a kid, please don't hype him up yet. Just let him develop nicely and quietly.

    I don't think you guys realise that Munro is better than these guys right now and older. No one talks about him because hes not being hyped. Hes the captain of u18s and far better. Kukonki, Armer and Munro will all be top players for us. Also Mills looks decent. All CBs. Munro plays CB/RB like Kukonki

      So our best fullback this season doesn't start? Mazroui is so underrated it's sad even many United fans still don't rate him
