Love the fact that you show the mess-ups/imperfections, especially when you're such a big name in the woodworking community. It makes me feel a lot better about my projects because sometimes it bothers me so much.

Thank you for showing us your mistakes/gaps etc. Hope you know how important it is for people at the earlier stages of woodworking to see our experts making blunders too.

Hello from Lumberjocks, I am glad to see my drawings were of a help to someone, in making this extremally hard to build board. I did the original board with no jigs, I ended up gluing one triangle at a time, then waiting for the glue to dry before the next piece. It sat on my bench for months. Each piece had to be sanded to fit, to keep clean glue lines. I am glad to see someone has added jigs for the glue up.

Love these challenging projects but those of us who do "craft shows" you'll never sell them for any reasonable amount to even begin to turn a profit but please keep them coming as the master craftsman in me really appreciates such talent.

Jonathan, you’re selling yourself short. It takes a true craftsman to build that. Don’t get me wrong - props to any viewers who can do it. I just think they’re few and far between. Similar boards sell for $250 to $300 - and are worth every penny. I’d be curious to know exactly how many hours are involved. If it’s more than ten or twelve, $300 is a steal.

Jonathan, I just finished the first of two boards this weekend and gave it to my mom for her 70th birthday. She absolutely loves it. Called me the next day and asked if I realized there was a mogen david right in the middle of it. I had no idea, but if you look at it just right, you can see it.

The beauty of an end-grain board is that it will withstand years of use and still look great. TBH, that board he made will still look great when passed down a couple generations. Plus, once it starts to show some wear, you just sand it down and boom, you have a brand-new cutting board.

Great to look at the work of the masters hanging on the walls from afar and best left up to them and their talents. The results are not easily copied by the masses Like Kenny said. Know when to hold ‘em and know when to fold ‘em

@@hotrodhog2170 a place local to me is just called valley planing mill. architectural millworks is the work they do, they do custom milling to match old trim profiles and lots of custom stuff. I had bought some scraps from them for cutting boards and they offered me the service of their sander and said they had people bringing in table tops, end grain cutting boards etc and its a real time saver and comes out perfect. so you can search for custom milling, or custom millwork etc for a company that would have the same service
