I have a question, how do yo determine the final size of an end grain cutting board like is there a formula for it. thanks by the way awesome video subscribed
Hi Ryan, great job. Greetings from Italy. I wanted to ask you for advice. I saw that you own two Bambulab 3D printers. I read on various forums that it is not recommended to keep them in the carpentry workshop as the wood dust could cause malfunctions. How are you finding keeping them in the workshop, in the middle of the dust? I should buy a 3D printer too, but I haven't decided where to put it yet.
I think that logic is sound, keeping them away from dust is well advised. I'm lucky to have a large shop so there is some space between them and the woodworking action. My closest machine is the drum sander about 10' away but machines are connected to a solid dust collection unit as well. Of course there is still sawdust in the air but not enough or close enough to the printers to give me pause for concern. I'l
Ryan, I just found your vids and like your process. The board I like the most out of every board I’ve ever seen is this one: th-cam.com/video/u1bVVpAxF7k/w-d-xo.html&si=2zoGv9ZlrAeOFv7Y and it makes me curious is this can be done with end grain? Or can this be done with all your scraps to make some randomness and more artistic than the geometric layer patterns? Keep it up!
Wow you’re doing some of the best work I’ve seen.
One heck of a job! You're definitely a credit beyond the profession. As always, Thank you for all that you do to keep the woodworking lifestyle alive!
Thank you very much!

Stunning. I'd be hard-pressed to cut on these! I'd rather put them out for display only. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent.
That's my feeling as well. Look too good to put a knife on it. 😂

Hey Ryan. Silly question. Have you ever had a customer call you back to say that the board broke when they were chopping something on it?
awesome.

Have you ever considered biscuits to maintain alignment?
I suspect there are pitfalls that make using them something to avoid for cutting boards.
I think they'd be more trouble than they're worth in an application like this.
Qbert!
Do you make just plain cutting boards, no patterns?
I can, please contact me through my website to let me know what you have in mind:
