The desk thing. It’s real. The “no sitting down” thing, it’s real. (Unless you’re working with a small group of students, but don’t get too comfortable.) Even if you’re pregnant. I love how you get to do all the things we wish we could do, like throw those ridiculous “workstations” at the dumb idea factories.😂

Retired biology/zoology teacher here. At a parent/ teacher conference I had a parent go nuclear warning me to never show her child (16yo F) any photos or videos containing spiders again. She demanded her daughter be excused to the library if we even discussed spiders. Yep, crazy times.

Weird. Unless she had a severe arachnophobia

@@jilldurham5498Even if she does, I'm truly sorry, but she probably shouldn't be taking the class. if its a graduation requirement then the kid needs to work with a therapist

When I was that age I had a teacher who was discussing brown recluse spiders and how you need to be careful. She was saying we need to check our bed sheets, our clothes and our boxes. My arachnophobia was really bad even as a teenager. This was a history class. It scared the shit out of me when I saw a picture of it. I was in literal tears. For a year I checked under my sheets and in my clothes. My step mom did end up calling the teacher and letting them know to be careful with discussions on spiders because of how severe my anxiety was. The class didn't involve bugs or animals it was history. Some kids were talking about the spider but the teacher started telling the class about it. I like the teacher but she did catastrophize the danger of them. We live in NH, thankfully they aren't common up here.

Why would a child want to use something she doesn't need to use. Crazy parents.

I don't understand why the child can't use the crutches to her heart's content at her house? Some people.

These videos show the number one reason teachers shouldn't be armed with guns in school. Patience can wear thin.

How long did the no-desk policy work out? Is this a trend? I can’t imagine how anyone would think that was a good idea!

Love your content, too bad it's a reality. Why must they always tinker with education. It's one experiment after another with no regard for the collateral damage. So glad I am out.
