  • A day hike in the Peak District National Park, October 2024. Shockingly, it wasn't raining, and the wind speed wasn't gale force 😱
    I took the train to Glossop, Derbyshire, and walked up from the station into the hills. The two summits on my route were the remaining Nuttalls in the Peak District, that I hadn't already done (there are only 3 Nuttall summits in the Peak District). Between the 2 summits, is the extensive wreckage of a B29 bomber, which crashed in 1948, killing all 13 crew.
    🥾 12.3 miles / 19.8 kilometres
    📈 2,431 feet / 741 metres of ascent
    ⛰️ Higher Shelf Stones, 2037 feet / 621m
    ⛰️ Bleaklow Head, 2077 feet / 633m
