True, their songs actually required skill compared to a huge portion of their counterparts back in the 80’s. Reb was way ahead of most guitarists back then and still today. Never got the credit he deserved.
First time I've ever seen Reb Beach play a Gibson Les Paul. The man can play anything and play it great. The entire group is getting better with age. Winger kicks some serious ass.
Kip was a great guy. Despite the no autograph policy, he signed my liner for In the Heart of the Young, which is proudly displayed on my mantle. Looking forward to the new release and to seeing Winger live again!!! Hopefully, with Paul Taylor on keys next time. I'm 'Hungry' for more Winger!!!
I don't know of too many bands that have GOD given talent like Winger doesthey are so smart and educated and had their hands in so many fires and everything they put their hands to turns to gold ! Kip and Reb are the perfect writing team! You have the composer you have the professor you have the guitar God and Jerry p diamond AKA John Roth and I'm so happy to see the great call Taylor playing with them it's great you just can't beat them I've got tickets for my 4th and 5th
Shows they get better every time I see him and of course I get my VIPs so I get to know them a little bit better it's a no-lose situation I just love them and I love traveling I was right on the scene when MTV came out and when I saw rinker I went who are these guys?!!!!!!! Please forgive my typos I am talk texting and it happens every time
First time I've ever seen Reb play a Les Paul or what ever that single cut guitar was at the start of the show. Very cool. Love that Rat race song. What a great band. ♥️🤟
Love this Band, they've gotten better with time and they started our very strong so that says something about the talent in this band. (Poor Kip sounds like he is having a rough night vocally but still pulls it off) thx for the video.
If it wasn't for Beavis and Butthead....... Reb is one of the only players that pulled of tapping without sounding like an EVH hack. Great song, great "She's only 44". One really talented band. Kip is still a great singer.
Me, too. Back in those days I snuck in my brick-sized Panasonic cassette recorder stuffed inside my belt and got some great shows that I listened to for years.
just a bad vocal day. He could have had a cold, hoarse from a recent performance he went all out on, or his vocal chords just decided to wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
I've seen them a few times & actually Kip sounded a bit rough vocally in this show BUT They still rock!! Any chance to see them GO!! or Kip solo is an awesome acoustic show as well!
He may have been a little sick this show. Kip generally sounds very good. This was definitely a rougher night for him but still sounded good regardless.
His voice is definitely breaking up in the higher range, but strangely still sounds kinda cool,, like he has his own built-in fuzz box.. This is common problem for anyone dealing with a recent illness or just too much singing and tiring vocal cords. Voices need a lot of rest to recover for at least a day or two.
What I find ironic is these guys caught so much heat because of Metallica's "A Year and a Half in the Life of" when lars was throwing darts at Kip's pic. People hated on them. Yet, it's Winger that still sounds like the 80's records. You definitely can't say that about Metallica. Kip sounds like he's struggling a little at this concert, he almost sounds like he's singing through a cold. But I've heard other recent stuff and he's hitting the same notes he used to and sounds exactly like he did on that first record. I used to catch flack in the late 80's because I loved Winger back then. I wore that first cassette out because I listened to it so much. The second album came out and my mom bought me the CD. I was 15 at the time of the second album. I still clearly remember when we went into that music store for that album, coming out and opening it up, waiting to get home to listen to it. This was before cars had CD players in them.
Hey, WAPL: instead of playing nauseating amounts of Metallica, Aerosmith, AC DC, etc, play more music from bands like Winger. They have other great songs besides Seventeen, which I only hear occasionally. Your format has become tired. I hear the same 2 or 3 songs by the same artists over and over, day after day.
It's like that here in Cleveland too. I've actually shelved ac/dc for quite a while, got so sick of it. Exactly the same bands you mentioned, along with Pink Floyd, Boston. Probably that I ❤️ radio format they all follow. I just stopped all together listening to radio.
That's exactly my point, guys. I wouldn't mind hearing music from the artists I mentioned if they could mix in a few different songs by those artists. Having said that, all they play is Back in Black, Shook Me All Night Long, Hell's Bells, etc. Variety is a good thing.
Not on a permanent basis though. He joined them on certain tours and I think the Pull album was first studio. All of the concerts and videos I saw were with Taylor.
Musicianship, songwriting/composition, vocals, stage presence, humor, humility - these guys have it all in abundance. These guys are "rock 'n roll".
REB BEACH IS A BEAST ON GUITAR !
The musicianship and talent of Winger is lights years ahead of most rock bands, now and then. Phenomenal!
so true, you can see it in the song writing and performance.
True, their songs actually required skill compared to a huge portion of their counterparts back in the 80’s. Reb was way ahead of most guitarists back then and still today. Never got the credit he deserved.
@@souflikar6702 everyone knows who Reb is now.
You've got that right.
Incredible sound! Winger one of the best underrated bands ever!
I am still here loving this song 😘

Excellent drummer boy
That was incredible! And right next to my hometown. These guys just don’t get the credit they deserve. What an amazing band.
No, they don't get the credit they deserve. Kip and the boys are better musicians than Metallica, yet Metallica are everyone's metal darlings.
GrimmReaper I see your point there but Metallica are iconic but there a metal/thrash band rather than rock and roll/ hair metal band winger is amazing
The outro on Seventeen is a damn masterpiece Reb Beach is a legend!
All exceptional musicians.
Bands like winger stand the test of time and are edged into immortality that will go on and I love it keep rocking to the future guys😊😎👍
GOOD MUSIC NEVER DIES!
Reb Beach is such a great player...
4 of the greatest musicians walking the earth today. Out perform all the other bands that have been around as long as they have by miles.
46:00 Headed For a Heartbreak with Kip on keys and lead vox. Man he's a talented dude!!
Some guys have good taste in Winger music!
They all are...All went to music school!! 🤘
I just saw them yesterday at rolling hills casino kick ass
The additional bass player, he's so lucky! \m/ :D
This is really impressive, every single guy up there insanely talented. And it sure shows/sounds. Very underrated!
HEY WEE!!!! COME HOME!!!! THIS IS ROOSTER!!!!!! Ms has added a few lines to her dunk in a cold river speech just for you buddy!
Wow! Grossly underrated band. What a killer setlist and played to perfection. Brilliant stuff. Thanks for sharing...
Rod put things on his instructional tape 30 years ago that I STILL cannot play. AMAZING drummer. He plays piano, too
He blew me away with Dixie Dregs in the 70's.
Great band. Love them from the 80ies. 🤘 They still rock. Love Reb Beach in WS also
Winger kicks ass!
Reb is the best of the best ,,,rock on Reb

Really? Years ago, I saw him at a Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp event and took a picture with him. He was so cool to me. 🤘🏼
No autograph policy lmfao well when you're bigger then McCartney I can see why 😅
Bans sounds great still! Reb tearing it up! Still a long time fan anxious for the new release. Should be killer!
I have a question? How is it possible for Kip Winger to sing like this for his age? What an amazing band and musicians. Well done to all.
when the singer winger sing for def leppard the song photograph i think in 2016, i say guau what voice!!

This band is great! And beside that fact Reb is killin' that guitar!

Well mr beach and I forgot the other gurtarest playing this show both where going too town

it sounds like Kip's voice isn't warmed up hence the roughness... despite (or because?) of that, he has a damned cool voice!

See if your voice sounds like after 30 some years on the road probably over 1,000 concerts as a lead vocalist
I remember you. I have this record!!!!
one of your best actually
Awesome! but I always feel theirs a missing part of the ingredients that make up Winger when Paul Taylor is missing from behind the keys.
Paul still plays with them occasionally. Life on the road doesn't agree with everyone.
17/48 ❤
Kip I same age
is hard sing and play bass at the same time!!
