While this band is thought of as a "side show" because of how they were promoted, and also cashing in off every woman alive being in love with Kip........Boy were they freaking tight. Their actual ability as musicians was dramatically overlooked. All of them were studio level musicians.

WINGER and the 80's saying "hold my beer" with a middle finger in the air! Winger was and still is one of the hardest hitting bands out there. Kip Winger is a major contributor of EXELLENT tunes to our genre and is still out there touring with these same PRO bandmates in 2022. I saw them first in 1990 and last in March, 2022. BOTH WERE LIKE THIS NIGHT IN 1989,,BEAST MODE PERFORMANCES!

He should have seen RUSH live.......I admit though Reb Beach is spectacular.
The Beatles were probably the best at live sound quality, being able to lay down a whole album in one day instead of one to six months like most bands. To this day it's still unheard of.

Got to see these guys live in the 80s. It was Slaughter, Winger and KISS. While doing his guitar solo, he broke strings on the Guitar. Never missing a note, he swapped out guitars on stage while still playing. Reb Beach is a Beast on Guitar! Concert was in Albany, Ga.

I remember when they hit the scene. So many people wrote them off as another glam rock, “cram another gorgeous , namesake, rock god down your throat” at a time when everyone was getting sick of it…. But for some reason no one could get their hits out of their head….. True songwriters, performers, and rock gods - just too late to the party. I sincerely hope they’ve at least gotten tons of money, and tons of fun and satisfaction from contributing to the world of rock music!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this amazing clip. I'm a music snob, but Winger (or maybe Mr. Mister) is the most disrespected 80s band. It's fascinating that Kip's good looks - kind of a more masculine George Michael, no- wound up being a hindrance. But I love how no one has the balls to admit that Winger was a damn good band. It's always, "Oh yeah, they're great musicians and write good songs but they're Van Halen for teenage girls!" FUCK THAT!!! Van Halen anything rocks and if they were out a little earlier Kip would have given David Lee Roth a run for his money.
