I wasn’t expecting anything on LNF but feel there won’t be much news until it’s ready with enough time to promote. I think Sean is going to these events to have face to faces and networking. Getting everything all lined up for when the game is launched. It also explains why he’s helping publish his friends game, he’s already doing all the ground work for LNF, two stones and all that.
As a day 1 NMS player, 800 hours or so, over the years most updates only keep my attention for a short time. It's been a small addition here, small addition there kind of thing. I've recently been very jealous of brand new players who are experiencing the game right now for the first time. It must be amazing, rather than the slow roll that I've experienced. I'm betting they are in ZERO rush with LNF and want it to be feature complete upon release. Sure there will be additions to the game just like NMS, but they want LNF to be in the state that NMS is now upon release
I'm just confused on why they hyped LNF so early, and then let that hype slowly die with the lack of additional substance. I mean, come on Hello Games! Throw us a frikkin bone! Whelp, back to BG3 for the next year or so I guess.
Hasn't changed my anticipation of the game eventually being released. We are getting clues of both mechanics and in my opinion even story possibly in No Man's Sky about Light No Fire. Need probably more link prior to Light No Fire comes out. Perhaps that happens with Worlds 5.2?
I think Hello Games as a publisher is VERY exciting. They had Sony basically wreck their release, and I’m sure they learned a lot from it. If they publish smaller developers, they can help them develop without the dumb restraints and demands that a larger publisher like Sony might put on them. 🤷🏻♂️ Plus, maybe this is a bit of “practice” as a publisher before they ramp up to publishing LNF.
I was up watching it too.. I was so sad when there was no announcement! But then again, maybe that 1k+ they saved from not having reveal is going to better things?
Still claim it, don't need game to claim it, just steam account, who knows you might get pc and want game in future. Apparently if you have steam and ps or xbox you can use cross save to transfer ship to ps or xbox.
what if light no fire is an atlas origin story, it looks like a past to NMS future, so where NMS is the atlas's end phase, maybe lnf is the atlas's begining, there's that atlas looking thing, its most likely connected
Given how No Man's Sky was released in a very "interesting" state to say the least. I have no issue with them taking the time needed here as it will be a very ambitious release. If it is more of a delayed release then NMS will benefit as they can push some of the LNF tech stack there with lots of Beta testers at their beckon call. A win-win.
They are definitely cooking LNF and also they wouldn't risk releasing in 2025 due to some massive games coming out that year in all parts of the year, mainly pointing to GTA 6. I think 2026 or possibly 2027 serves them much better for LNF and it'll allow them to branch out and connect with other indie developers and provide support along with dialing in NMS ever further.

more like a collab not publishing it is like when Bethesda and Obsidian got together and made Fallout New Vegas they worked together on creating it not publishing it, like i explained to others in 2012 it would be like if i made a new game and Prestonplayz went in with me and we worked together on it and put it out there and it makes a big hit our company names would show up on the bottom of the game and both of us along with his bigger company both share in the rewards of it or if i went in collab with KROME in a new TY the Tasmanian Tiger game using artwork i made id give all i can give and it would show like my icon at the bottom with the Krome symbol that has a shadow of TY.
they could be brothers or cousins with the same last name like my cousin that shares my last name on my late biologic father side a bee keeper and writer as well, i dont write but do artwork, it is elementary as Holmes would say.
a treu fan of the company goes on to buy it jsut playing one lil bit of a game is different than going all the way with it like you with nms you kept with it and it surprised you and everyone else who stuck with it not a fly by night tryout, like with f76 i thought at first it was like another multiplayer cod but after getting into it holy sheep it like nms keeps growing and evolving now compared to when it began is a ton much better now im glad i stuck with them both they constantly update and fix bugs when some appears they don't just say who cares like the latest mario game by craptendo and say wait til the next one which the only difference with our new one is we put a bigger number on it like say 33 compared to last years 32.
and they are all better than me til ATTICUS Shaffer got in and kicked all of our rumps in multiplayer TayTay i was on her team in matchup team i always play a tanker/heavy but dang it the H boys and Tina R practically unstoppable til ATTICUS and me with Tay taken them down in 33 matches back to back, then as two seperaaate teams we taken down the Scorchbeast queen in fallout 76 together talk about a freakking rush.
No cpt, you can’t show a game and then don’t show or give info about it anymore for more than a year. Do not forget that Sean stated in an interview, years ago, if he ever would create a game again he would give more info about the game when it’s done…
Think Sean said that he would let their work speak for them... show only footage from the actual game and engine... not do as many talks or interviews. What this says to me though is... if they have no new video or game to speak for them, then may be it's not much further forwards from the last trailer. May be I am reading that wrong... I wish Sean and Hello Games had a better communication method... even the closest of content creators get no info... Shame we can't subscribe to a new letter or something... even if we pay for a press pack membership or something...
i was so surprised when nms wasnt the winner last night... so quick and brushed through... sad, even fortnite not winning the ongoing section... the muppets carried last night heheheh
oh heck no overcooked looks way better than luigi's mansion by a trillion light years and plus the animation style is like that of Pixar and not Craptendo, most kids over here are playing Cod 6, hehe, i know i hear my neighbor James and his 5 kids with their sound system goin off every evening with explosions and dialog of ghost commanding the team to go in and explosions tina thought we were being attacked i brought her over to James house and showed her we are ok kiddo and she is wors she loves playing Resident evil and she is freakking 7 years old she loves zombies.
possible reason why is they are polishing the game captain and making full on Patents of their game so a certain game company try to sue them cough cough over patents, Hello games is working on multiple items at once so it will be scarce for now, come out to quick can ruin the game but at the right time it will do very well they learned not to do the game at event cause of also being over shadowed by other games wait then show it off at a time no one expects then boom.
reason why they shifted over is cost and overhead they discovered a better deal with hello games and Sean not trying to mess em over like the other team or they had a big falling out with the other team, that at times is the prime reason they shift Captain it would be like i make a nice jewelry company better priced than the local companies over where you n ivy is, and i don't up the price or sell the wrong rings n such that you n Ivy likes i make good items and you and her likes what i do much better.
i am a huge fan of the company itself and i really respect them for all the free content updates but damn they really dont know how to design a FUN/DEEP game mechanic
You've lost just a little bit of the pep in your step. I think that it is NOT just the difference between anticipation and disappointment. I think lack of sleep plays in there quite a bit. I'm just guessing... 😉
I reckon their just being cautious and making sure LOF is ready before an release or advert date.

people really like nms, with all the updates in 2024, maybe they will do the same for 2025. And it gives them more time to perfect light no fire
