There are exclusives for other platforms. Xbox pre-order helmet, bolt caster SM that's only available for limited edition PS4 or could be a obtained prior to the first patch, Nintendo switch ship and multi-tool. Steam finally has its own exclusive there shouldn't be a problem.
@@krookedliptv9852 Cool, thanks. I'd seen a load of people moaning about missing out, then someone had mentioned the other platform exclusives. I was just curious.
I've been having issues claiming this ship on PC, what I had to do was to not click on the add to account button but to click on the tiny "here" above it. That "here" link doesn't show on the app you have to go to the website to find it
You're one of TH-cam's good guys Steve and I'm glad you're not going anywhere. Thanks for another year of content. It's a lot of work for you which doesn't go unnoticed. 😊
I am on pc and Steam and cannot get the new ship. Tried several times and it does not show at the Quicksilver menu. I have the other Starborn runner so not a big deal but i am puzzled why it is not working for me.
A way to deal with this issue is to give console players the Utopia Speeder in black . They will all jump for joy. It's the most asked for ship at the anomaly.
The ENTIRE GAME needs pure TRUE black as a color anyway. They introduced new colors in the game but everything that was in the game before still stuck with bland muted colors like the old armor and old ships and its very ugly colors! We need all colors for all thi gs in the game especially BLACK! not a iron panel pattern or stealth but true 100 percent black for all thi gs customizable AND even random ships we can buy from npcs. I guess putting in new colors is hard who knew.
For a day 1 player on console only, I'm sad HG gave this to PC players/Steam only. With a 4khr save on PS4, PS4 pro w/PSVR1, PS5 w/PSVR2, it seems like a kick in the face. Hopefully they'll bring it to console soon 😊
I haven't been playing NMS for very long +- 400hrs only, but in this time there has not been one time I felt like HG were treating me like a cash cow. Very refreshing, like turning back the clock on devs, how they used to feel about their gamers. BEST on-line community on the planet.
Agreed. So, figure $60 if you pay full price. Constant updates. Constant new content. Funky British spellings. Now, take a look at those games like 'Stellaris'. Talk about getting milked! It's $290 for the whole schtick on Steam right now. I think we both made a good choice.
Oh yeah work for what pc gets handed. It should be a free ship in the Quicksilver synthesis bots inventory and paid for with nanites just like the one on PC so it's equal. If you want to do an expedition to celebrate then that can be your "yay" goal but equal should be equal working for something should require ALL to have to work for that something. Sean always said EVERYONE would get the same in his games.
I don’t understand why they just didn’t add it to the Quicksilver Synthesis Merchant in general, so everyone on any system could claim it. I 100% agree with you they should have labeled it a Steam exclusive ship. I am a PS5 player exclusively and I’m not purchasing this game on Steam because I don’t have a system I could even use Steam to play games. I am assuming there’s some Steam partnership with Hello Games, which would make sense as to why we haven’t heard anything from Hello Games regarding the community disappointment. I am personally disappointed. I like the Starborn ship in general, but I never use the Runner because it doesn’t match my color scheme. The Phoenix does, or at least mostly does. I try to go for black and white mostly, with some tertiary colors. I was quite excited and could make room in my fleet for it, but alas it’s not to be unless Hello Games changes it or releases elsewhere later. At the end of the day, it’s not a huge deal, but I do think an award for a TGA nomination should go to ALL of the community.
I had a hard time redeeming it. I click on claim, nothing happened. But if I put it on my wishlist, then went to my wishlist and scrolled down and it said claim. I click claim and it said "Success!" Started NMS and went to Johnny 5 and it was there in a special category.
The expectation that companies will always make more and more profit every year, or even make the same level of profit every year, is just unrealistic and one of the worst issues with the market today. If you are a game company that doesn't release a new game, or a paid expansion, in a given financial year then the idea that you would make less profit is entirely reasonable, it's not like HG is struggling to break even, it may not be a lot but twenty million profit is twenty million pounds over and above their operating costs, that is a healthy company by any standards...
So far as the newsletter - this whole thing is a perfect example of why they are perpetually petrified of starting up open communications again. Better to be silent and just produce, than make the mistake of saying ANYTHING, and missing even the hint of what might be misconstrued as a promise. I'm amazed they even want to keep pumping out content for this game. We aren't rewarding them.
@@danielstokker I've read your comments, I'm happy if anyone can redeem the ship. I've noticed you haven't posted at any point on HOW people on console should go about doing it though. Makes no difference in the backlash HG is getting over it - which is what this particular post is about. So... what the hell are you talking about?
@CaptainSteve I am glad you covered this issue and you have enlightened me I have both the steam and Playstation console versions of No Man's Sky and became aware of the Starborn Phoenix due to a youtube video. I misunderstood the reason for the reward as being an overall community "thank you" to all of the No Man's Sky community and did not realize that it was for voting in for the Game Awards. I initially felt that console players were ignored or even snubbed, but after viewing your video, I feel it is more a fault of unclear communication. However, even console players may have voted, so I think they should also be able to receive the award.
I don't know anyone that didn't have a problem with this. I read the announcement and clicked then ling in the announcement, which failed. So I went looking for it on Steam, found it, and when I clicked it I got an error. So I did it AGAIN, and again an error. After I finally gave up and when back to my library, i noticed that it said that now the ship was in my library. I watch two different TH-camrs try to claim the ship and had the exact same thing happen.
As long as you clicked on the article and then the link which took you to the Store Page for the Ship it worked perfectly, think it was down to how Steam added it, should have been as DLC to main Game Store Page instead.
Oh just to let you know it's not 5 to $7 to get the ship via the service. That's for the monthly donator price which includes 12 uses of the delivery bot per week. So technically you can get 48 of those ships if you wanted to for that price. But the service has all kinds of amazing things that many players are probably going to want to use anyways. Especially if you miss any past expeditions.
I agree that they may have missed the mark this time. Hello games,NMS is still my favorite game. It's the reason why I bought an Xbox X 2yrs ago. I'm seventy three and I play almost every day.
Seriously, I was shocked that the starborn wasn't a non exclusive add on! They teased this of their 2024 trailer along with the revamped space station update. I thought it was a no brainer to have a new ship with that update, but apparently it's an expedition exclusive. That's so dumb and frustrating as a fan.
I had to go to the store page and add it like a DLC to get it for myself. Sad as I gave up a decent ship just to get this addlt ship... so just juggling ships . Are they trying to push steam play ? And cross platform make all move to steam? I wish they had a transfer of ships system in world where people could trade ships and things.
Hi Captain Steve, I agree with everything you said in this video. Hello Games does have an history of poorly communicating withe the community and that have lead to much confusion in the past, but I would like to raise some awareness on the article you've mentioned about the profits they had in last year. I'm not sure how things work for companies in the UK but in my country there's 3 values companies need to worry, total income, profit after paying expenses and profit after paying expenses and taxes, Hello Games has been having some (I guess a lot) of expenses that they can't get any income yet, and that's Light No Fire, so it's expectable that they profit will decrease, since that even if they have a higher income, they also have much more expenses, and if the income increases so does the taxes. I'm not sure to which profit value is mentioned in the article, or if it even looked at the total income, but keep in mind that a smaller final profit at the end of the year it's not always the sign that the company is going bad, especially if it's doing allot of investment on a new area (game). Don't take that as a negative sign unless it follows a trend, which I do not think is the case for Hello Games.
I bought NMS on Steam to claim the ship, as I been meaning to get it since getting my PC a few months ago anyways and its on sale so I am not too upset. But the whole "you gotta buy the game again to get the free update stuff" is a very Rockstar thing to do. If its deliberate. I don't think its meant to be an F U to anyone or a scam to sell more copies though. It seems to be a poor choice of words in describing it, thats all. I don't watch Twitch so I don't get those rewards, and I accept that reality. Just sucks cus this ship is clearly gonna be a collector item and not everyone even has a PC to buy the game on. I feel the pain cus HG abandoned PS4 after PS5 and PC versions came out as far as optimization goes too. They just degraded the resolution, load-in and draw distance to compensate for the upgraded graphics and hardware utilization. You on PS4? Buy a PS5, peasant. Otherwise, enjoy a version that looks worse than it did 5 years ago. And PS4 is what it released on. Thats what every OG bought it on. Kinda shizzy. But then like you said, 7 years of free updates and DLC.... can't really complain. They don't owe anyone anything. No worries though, next expedition I play, I will dupe a dozen of them to give away. 😊
I had NMS on Steam for ages but haven't played there in about 5 years. Claimed the ship and downloaded the game again and tried to load my save from 2019. The game hung on the loading starfield and then outright crashed. I'm super curious to know where I left off in 2019, but I worry it may be a futile exercise.
I like the idea of free ships as rewards, I just wish they did not count towards our 12 ship maximum. Not on Steam, so can't get this new ship, not that worried as I do not have space for it anyways.
and if they have troubles with the cross save cloud thing as well something in that particular code could spread a corrupted item im always thinking of the smallest niche like how some people just picks up say a piece of bacon that a friend cooked and dropped on the floor and broke it up and gave that piece to 4 friends the first person ate it all is good but later one with the other friend they got sick some a little then real bad cause turns out the floor was dirtier than thought, it was all cause of the bacon where it came from was from a treated animal and the treated food interacted with the bacteria and made more troubles for the ones who are allergic to the chems in the bacon, along with bacteria, til they get healed up at the doctors and cleansed out no bacon for a few months unless they find a clean brand of bacon all fixxed upand then ready to have clean bacon that wont mess you over, same with the coding of said ship each coding is different in each console yes they may cross save but it is that small probability and possibility
If I could just do any redux at any time I would have access to all the content I missed the first time around. Then I'd be less annoyed about not getting the re skinned ship.
Not sure why it couldn’t have been a Twitch drop instead of this, they’ve done those in the past. I know Warframe had their own twitch drop during the stream so maybe that's why. But a twitch drop would've made it possible for players on all platforms to get it
Yep... that's what I don't understand... why make it so hard to claim ?? Even if it is Steam based they could have you click that, generates a redeem code on Steam... go to the QS guy... and use the Redeem code...
@Shellsinherhair Personally, I hope that Hello Games keeps building No Man's Sky until I move through the pearly gates. My feelings don't count for much though.
23:24 remember, "profits" might be down, but for years, they've been making way more than they needed. Overhead is minimal and there are no shareholders to appease. I'm not worried about HG.
I think it will eventually come to consoles because the new ship skin is in the base game,if it wasn't it wouldn't work even using cross save because the skin wouldn't be in the game itself, like if i go to my settlement on the switch it brings u to the right planet but the settlement isn't cause its not in the game files unlike it is on the pc
Captain of the Steves it might be it is a test to see if the ship is fully compatible with all systems like a console or just in steam like say cause of the coding is direct only for steam alone they test it out with certain players to see like say ricey yes he has duplicated the ship to give out but then what if there is a glitch in said ship and started to play heck in a x-box version that fights the code specific for that console i dont want to go into the you know what but also for the encoding for the ps versions too like the experimental branch tries to weed this out i remember a few times the golden vector caused some troubles til hello games fixed it.
Guys this all a misunderstanding everybody can get it ... 1 make a steam account claim the ship 2 connect you steam acvount to any console on the NMS website 3 open the game on console and apply for cloud saves No you dont need to own the game on steam or unlock the ship on pc when your cloud save gets activated youll recieve the ship aswell
Obi-Sean Murrnobi always said that everything in the game would always be available for EVERYONE! They would never lock anyone out of anything in game! So making something thats in any game mode or any platform means its in the game and should be available for everyone everywhere on anything they use to play Im just OCD i have to have ALL of the special ships. And we do need more ship space so we can buy 10 or 20 more ships. Ha! people from coments pay you to do this!? Then they are the idiots.... i would never do such a thing..
11:08 you should also consider that Sony and Microsoft might have refused to post it for free and Sean refused to charge you for it knowing full well that we'd be able to do exactly what we're doing and giving it to you anyway.
If that’s the case, they didn’t have to go the route of adding it as a DLC item. They could have just added it to the Quicksilver merchant for everyone to add.
@@Lordoftheapes79 I understand that, and I think most people do. The issue is their wording making it sound like everyone can easily get this item when that’s not the case. To be honest, if I had a PC or Steamdeck, I’d buy this game again regardless of whether there was a reward or not because I want to support Hello Games as much as possible. Hell, I’d even pay for it on the PlayStation store if I could, as that’s my gaming system. In fact, I’d love for them to release some paid ships or skins, but that’s clearly not the route they want to go. All I’m saying is they marketed this as a TGA nomination reward for us, and I was someone who voted for them. They could have been clearer on the details, that this is only a Steam DLC as it’s part of Steam’s TGA DLC sales. It’s not really a huge deal for me personally, but I will say it initially felt cool that there was a reward for being part of this awesome community, only to find out it’s platform limited. Was a tiny slap in the face, like from those tiny hand toys meant to fit on a finger. No damage done, just a little disappointed. I wanted to fly around with it for a little while to celebrate the nomination with everyone else doing the same.
Really, I read this and understand that it stated it's for the nms community, and yet they cut us console players out of the community, so no i do not agree with how they put this ship in game
I got mine via service bot unfortunately ya got to pay. Before that I did try and set up a steam account on my laptop even bought no man sky on that not realising ya had to have 8gb ram my laptop only as 4gb of ram. I found that out after trying to load game it was stuck on red circle of game gave it up as a bad job requested refund cos laptop wouldn't run game. So to get the ship had no choice but to get it from bot on ps5 save. Got golden vector back that way due to deleting my save last years redux 2023 with erros that happened last year.
I'd love to see this ship officially released on other platforms as well. But I have no such faith on HG as much as you do. They didn't published macOS version on GoG yet, while 1.5 years have been passed. This looks like more a political reason than any other. I've been told few reasons: 1) "GoG is a good platform for piracy" 2) "too many technical difficulties with GoG and macOS". my answers on these two are: 1) pirated Steam games with such popularity are published on day 1 from Steam. Steam doesn't provide any protection you can't override with existing open source tools: (you can remove protection or run steam emulator. these tools are actually useful for developers), so I can play pirated version of No Man's Sky and can't play an official one from GoG. 2) I don't see such difficulties with other games. The difference between GoG and Steam would be in shop integration which is the same as on Windows.
Understandable to be irritated by this if youre a confused *console* player, but asking for it to be an email sent after someone votes at the game awards might have just been the same outcome. Sure, the ship could be a free download for players outside of that, but a reward for voting for the "right" nominee wouldnt SOUND fair to people who like No Mans Sky but didnt vote for it, and imo would have caused more negative press than Hello Games simply mentioning everyone gets a free ship. An argument could be made that this is just a re-skin of another ship and players already had the chance to get something like it previously.
@@ZX81v2 Cool, thank you. As an exclusively Steam-based player, who doesn't own a console, I had no idea things like console exclusive items existed for NMS.
SONY does not know the word FREE -PC players did not have much of a choice but buy via Steam. Why people keep paying Sony I'll never understand. Look how Sony wants to take over the Helldivers Players. Does anyone "Know" the contract details between Sony and Hello-Games ?
My assumption is they did it to promote the cross save feature, as another user posted here, but if thats incorrect and it was just meant to be a pc exclusive ship... seems rather odd to release it to commemorate their nomination of a community support award. Bummer to not have it available to all but I'd assume it'll be made available to consoles in the future. Would have been cool to have pc get one ship and consoles get a different new ship/ship skin.
Its' the same damm thing like the twitch rewards. Why are they not available for GOG Players. I had to use the Savegame editor to add it into my 3000h GOG Save. The only way to solve that epic Steam only fail is to update the Game and make the ship free for everyone by simply redeem it ingame.
So sorry that console gamers missed out. Hopefully that will eventually be remedied. I am only a Steam player on PC. So I did not realize the shortcoming for console players.
To add to the confusion, if you are playing the expedition right now, the Quicksilver Merchant isn't even in the Anomaly. I know you can just go back to your primary save, but it does muddy the waters. I like to collect all the expedition ships during expeditions because I have no more room in my main save. A shame it isn't even an option this time.
I’m disappointed that to me whatever method you play nms we are all community. To me I’m more disappointed that they’ve give this amazing opportunity to build new and amazing ships but not the slots to save them in so come on HG give us more slots, as to paid dlc I’m up for that. Great video as always
You can get it on console, I don't really play on pc (because mine barely runs nms) but I jumped on earlier and grabbed it then I was able to hand it off to myself on PS5 like normal. Also, I do wonder if they jumped the shark and released it earlier than intended after it was datamined and made public 🤔
Let me make it simple for you PC players. Out of 4 million active players on NMS only 20 thousand are pc. So that means they only got nominated because of console players and we don’t get the ship. Meanwhile Pc can obtain everything In the game with mods at a click of a button. That’s the issue with us.
I'm that much of a fan and such an avid collector i purchased the game on steam just to get the ship i feel a bit silly i must admit as my pc wont run it i only just managed to claim it 😡😳
@@skyu777ayala2 except for all those exclusive releases and proprietary titles, yeah. And the console costing a 1/3 of an equvalent PC sure. And the guarenteed function and compatability of games, definitely. And the prices... good luck getting that 5 year old game on steam for less than $50. But yeah console players have it rough. Aside from the roads, the education, the order, the peace, the sanitation, and the wine.... what have the Romans ever done for us?
Sorry Captain Steve but it’s not “A Small Amount Of Ppl That Are Upset” there are almost 4 million active console players and only 20 thousand PC players. 99% of the community is upset.
As someone who primarily plays on console I can understand the frustration as well as this being a community thing but I’m not concerned. I made sure to claim it on Steam and in the meantime I’ll wait to see if they release it on console. If not then I don’t mind spending a discounted price for the Steam version to acquire it via cross saves.
Console players early on in NMS history were the ones that helped save the game.. there were also console specific ships but these are also all owned by computer players as well thanks to save editors..
20 Million before tax is still a very good number for a company like Hello Games. Even if you reduce tax from this the net profit will still be high. All costs are already reduced from this, so this is in fact investment cash. If they made between 20-40 million per year in the past, they really have something to work with and may even be able to run the company for the next couple of years without any net profits at all.
Business Rates went up last year by 23% in that region, tax and what is paid to the Gov also went up... they have staff overheads.... granted that may all swallow up say a few million at most... but to see half profits 📈 in the space of a year isn't a trend you want year on year... if it halves and halves again... by 2026 it could be 5m profit if you get me... still enough to keep the lights on for sure and perhaps they could operate at zero profit for a few years... Just see it as a worrying trend if it continues. Think Light No Fire will see that trend turn around. Just think negative press or reviews right now will do them no favours.
@@CaptainSteveVPT i would not consider this as a trend at this point. There are many reasons for a lower profit. I am running my own company and it's normal for a medium business to have a variable profit per year. Sometimes you need to put money aside for future investments, if you know that the next couple of years will most likely need more cash. To compensate this and avoiding a loss on paper, you can manually reduce the income for a specific year and put the profits into the next year avoiding too much fluctuation. It still surprises me, that HG even make 20 million a year with only one major game. The only real threat is that Hello Games will be sold to a major company at some point. The risk of ruining the games and reputation is very high.
@ProgrammistMusic just seen lots of lay offs and bad moves that have cost game companies massively layoffs... I know Hello Games is smaller... and do more with less... Just hope they will be okay.
@@CaptainSteveVPT i totally share that feeling, which is the reason why we actually do care about a company like HG so much. I hope HG and especially Sean is smart enough not to make those bad moves, which are mostly related to huge investments into one game over many years costing several hundreds of millions and then not delivering a product people expect or want. Most of the bigger lay offs have been done by major companies buying smaller studios, investing a ton of money into one IP and if this fails close the complete studio. This is also caused by a massive dependency regarding share holders. If you need to increase profits every year to keep the company runnning you have a problem in the long run. As long as HG keeps their independence and reputation based on the numbers i see i think we're pretty much safe. I also do not think an issue like we have with the new Starborn Phoenix does not really hurt the company. This problem surely has been underestimated by HG, but nothing really serious. It's much more important, that they deliver on Light No Fire and i think Sean is well aware of the fact, that they should try to over-deliver this time and release when it's really ready to play. My guess is, that they will need more time and even if they make big progress, as they have stated themselves, it's most likely far from ready. They simply cannot set a release date yet. And another trailer without a release date would not help at this point. They want to come out with a bang and i hope they can pull this off.
I can already see the arguments in the community starting. Its this I object too. I saw this on Elite Dangerous and it did annoy the console community not so much the action of the company which was bad but the pc master race commentators going on about how console holds things back. Lets face facts here, NMS was released on PC and PS4 first. It was always cross platform. Microsoft have caused issues with releases on the xbox this problem is across several studios i understand its a paperwork issue. The colour of each players money is the same, limiting platform reduces income, income equals development. Frontier is the example of how NOT to treat your community you lose a platform you lose income. ED has lost development because the income is insufficient, there is more money to be made elsewhere and that will happen at hello games when light no fire is released, but as a NMS player i want that game developed, losing players as development becomes platform specific means that won't happen If things like this start dividing the community then they could lose certain platform players from the studio, i have stopped buying Frontier games due to the way the studio works. Hello Games needs to think about its customers when doing things like this, whether valve paid or not, you don't give some customers something and not expect a backlash from the group you ignored. Its not rocket science and telling people who didn't get the benefit not to be upset isn't going to wash. I am sure the pc master race commentators here would be crying salty tears if the publishers Sony had paid hello games to give the playstation users a special ship. Remember everyone here enjoys nms and we want that game improved, we should all call out hello games for not doing something for everyone, as a lower player base threatens that development.
I have been trying for days to trade for a Utopia Speeder . I mostly end up on Chinese or Italian servers where nobody understands. What is going on here 👀

Its time for hello to do something to the flight model!! Its just too simple and limiting..... I get all the escapism except the liquid sauce of flight which is not to be found so i just can't get into it...especially after elite dangerous 😢
Why would people make a fuss about this. Do people really want to fly around a gold starborn that EVERYONE has? I sure don't.🤣 people love to have stuff that others have. Pc player myself and ill rather just have a color option for all the expedition shops including boundary herald. I say keep the ship pc only !! Adds a bit of rarity at least. Otherwise it'll be passed around more than a gravy pot at Christmas 🤶
So let me get this straight. Steam users didn't want to make a playstaion account to play HD2, but tell PS users to make a steam account to claim a stupid ship on NMS. Freckin hippocrates.
Is it still hypocritical to still say that if a Steam user doesn't care about HD2 and therefore didn't have to make a playstation account for it? I don't understand why you're grouping *all* steam users like that. Not everyone plays the same games. I get your point, but this an issue more isolated in terms of how HG is handling this specific DLC for NMS.
Are you stupid? You can make a ps account on your Pc, we can’t make a Steam account on our PlayStations unless we buy a PC and buy the game again. Shut your double standard mouth.

I've been having issues claiming this ship on PC, what I had to do was to not click on the add to account button but to click on the tiny "here" above it. That "here" link doesn't show on the app you have to go to the website to find it
Yeah. Took me a minute to figure this out too.
The Phoenix is so much nicer looking in my opinion. The runner is cool but just too flashy and rainbowy. The Phoenix looks more like a fighter to me.
@Death_Vail666 Ricey the God King of ship give aways is back. He is a true ship giver with no strings attached. Look out for his live streams!
You can still get it for free on console by having a bot bring you the ship from a website.
@wilhelmcybermining5538 10000000%
I feel like they could easily make that ship an expedition reward for the rest of us.
I was subscribed to Hello games to keep them going. Thank you Hello games
Youve got it all wrong anybody can claim the ship

@@danielstokker I've read your comments, I'm happy if anyone can redeem the ship. I've noticed you haven't posted at any point on HOW people on console should go about doing it though. I tried multiple times to dl the ship from steam. I kept getting error messages. Gave up.
Have not managed to get cross save to work since it was announced and have tried 2-3 times daily.
The irony this is an award for best community support...
@@obiwanshinobi87 yep... I say that at least twice in this video...lol
@@CaptainSteveVPT I know.. I typed it as the video starts... ;)
I'm not sure how things work for companies in the UK but in my country there's 3 values companies need to worry, total income, profit after paying expenses and profit after paying expenses and taxes,
Hello Games has been having some (I guess a lot) of expenses that they can't get any income yet, and that's Light No Fire, so it's expectable that they profit will decrease, since that even if they have a higher income, they also have much more expenses, and if the income increases so does the taxes.
… very old saved games will not work… too many updates n new quests…
14 million for 30 employees is pretty damn good. I'm sure they aren't worried AT ALL
I just started playing a week ago and I got it heh. I am happy. It is my first S class ship!
Good video...good job captain steve ..and heres too many more...cheers...merry Christmas

They need to clarify their wording in the future so we know that they only want Steam users to vote for NMS for awards.
At this time we can Show that we have a great comunity. Steam User can help consoleros to get this ship.
But a twitch drop would've made it possible for players on all platforms to get it
To be honest, I'm not fussed as I would have flow it twice then never used it again. I always revert to my little Tie Rasa fighter.
Isn't it simple to put it in the quicksilver shop with a very low price?
Yep... that's what I don't understand... why make it so hard to claim ??
Even if it is Steam based they could have you click that, generates a redeem code on Steam... go to the QS guy... and use the Redeem code...
Light No Fire is Hello Games's solution to their profit problem, not a subscription to an end-of-life game that's never had one.
@Shellsinherhair Personally, I hope that Hello Games keeps building No Man's Sky until I move through the pearly gates. My feelings don't count for much though.
How could they let us become Jedi’s, but not allow this be on console ?
23:24 remember, "profits" might be down, but for years, they've been making way more than they needed. Overhead is minimal and there are no shareholders to appease. I'm not worried about HG.
I think it will eventually come to consoles because the new ship skin is in the base game,if it wasn't it wouldn't work even using cross save because the skin wouldn't be in the game itself, like if i go to my settlement on the switch it brings u to the right planet but the settlement isn't cause its not in the game files unlike it is on the pc
Captain of the Steves it might be it is a test to see if the ship is fully compatible with all systems like a console or just in steam like say cause of the coding is direct only for steam alone they test it out with certain players to see like say ricey yes he has duplicated the ship to give out but then what if there is a glitch in said ship and started to play heck in a x-box version that fights the code specific for that console i dont want to go into the you know what but also for the encoding for the ps versions too like the experimental branch tries to weed this out i remember a few times the golden vector caused some troubles til hello games fixed it.
that one time console players do not get the exclusive and they got their panties in a twist..

I have NMS on Steam, PS5 and Nintendo Switch, it would be nice to get it on all.😮
To be honest I thought some way of using crosssaves might help console players to get it I don't have a console tho only PC so I can't test it out
Obi-Sean Murrnobi always said that everything in the game would always be available for EVERYONE! They would never lock anyone out of anything in game! So making something thats in any game mode or any platform means its in the game and should be available for everyone everywhere on anything they use to play
Im just OCD i have to have ALL of the special ships. And we do need more ship space so we can buy 10 or 20 more ships.

@astrozach7778 except that the whole point is that STEAM was doing a DLC sale on TGA nominees.
@@michelelovatt2254 I've been passing them out for free ALL day today.
I'd love to see this ship officially released on other platforms as well. But I have no such faith on HG as much as you do. They didn't published macOS version on GoG yet, while 1.5 years have been passed. This looks like more a political reason than any other.
I've been told few reasons: 1) "GoG is a good platform for piracy" 2) "too many technical difficulties with GoG and macOS".
my answers on these two are:
1) pirated Steam games with such popularity are published on day 1 from Steam.
You could also say the same about the XBOX/PS Special items that you can't get on steam.
There were console exclusive items that Steam users didn't get? Would you mind giving me an example please?

Hasn't it always been the developer of the particular game console to approve DLC's free or not? Who else can you blame?
My assumption is they did it to promote the cross save feature, as another user posted here, but if thats incorrect and it was just meant to be a pc exclusive ship... seems rather odd to release it to commemorate their nomination of a community support award. Bummer to not have it available to all but I'd assume it'll be made available to consoles in the future. Would have been cool to have pc get one ship and consoles get a different new ship/ship skin.
Its not pc exclusive anybody can get it and its beyond simple aswell it all a mistunderstanding
@danielstokker yes, first line of my comment: cross save.

I believe hg is doing fine as it is players first is a rare sight in today's world.
To add to the confusion, if you are playing the expedition right now, the Quicksilver Merchant isn't even in the Anomaly. Let me make it simple for you PC players. Out of 4 million active players on NMS only 20 thousand are pc. So that means they only got nominated because of console players and we don’t get the ship. Meanwhile Pc can obtain everything In the game with mods at a click of a button. That’s the issue with us.

Its not at all specific to pc everybody misunderstood
ED has lost development because the income is insufficient, there is more money to be made elsewhere and that will happen at hello games when light no fire is released, but as a NMS player i want that game developed, losing players as development becomes platform specific means that won't happen
If things like this start dividing the community then they could lose certain platform players from the studio, i have stopped buying Frontier games due to the way the studio works.
My dread there will always be hatters you relax they will as they come
Got the Utopia Speeder? Trade it at any space station for this ship.
I have been trying for days to trade for a Utopia Speeder . I mostly end up on Chinese or Italian servers where nobody understands. What is going on here 👀
Im sure there is a reason it was sent out as a DLC. Also sure it will come to everyone at some point. I have too many ships now lol
i thank they opps and forgot to do a free to play weekend like they did is the passed and this ship would have been part of it and able to cross play after
I'm on Nintendo beta. I have steam account but not the game. It doesn't work for me. I do feel like I voted but still can't play. Lol. Ironic how this is going down
Switch always seems to have issues for longer...
Thx for content. I think the issue is how they communicated on the gift
Its time for hello to do something to the flight model!! Its just too simple and limiting.....
I get all the escapism except the liquid sauce of flight which is not to be found so i just can't get into it...especially after elite dangerous 😢
@plaernotree it's a Pegi 12 game... not sure that's going to happen.
I would ask console players, especially Xbox players to remember the treatment we have received, when LNF is finally released
If NMS was Bethesda you know it would have been Horse Armour lol
Why would people make a fuss about this. Do people really want to fly around a gold starborn that EVERYONE has? I sure don't.🤣 people love to have stuff that others have. Pc player myself and ill rather just have a color option for all the expedition shops including boundary herald. I say keep the ship pc only !! Adds a bit of rarity at least. Otherwise it'll be passed around more than a gravy pot at Christmas 🤶
I have to pay $24 and buy No man's sky on PC because I have a PS5 Pro account.
You can make a ps account on your PC we can’t make a Steam account on our PlayStations unless we buy a pc, buy the game and download it. So shut your double standard cry baby mouth that whined about HD2
I didn't vote for any thing at all and I got it on Steam.
People are dumb you can claim it on any platform
