True dat. When my nephew got to be 4, he didn't want to go into McDonald's women's bathroom. I said ok. I hit the men's bathroom like gangbusters. Ok Jon,go on in and I stayed at the door until he came out. If a man came in, he got the stank eye. Don't play with me on the chilren.

When I am out with our young son, he goes to the restroom with me unless my husband is with us. My husband taught him to be pee with his underwear 🩲 or pants up so no one sees his unmentionables. The first time I saw him putting it into practice I was a bit confused and my toddler had to explain it to me🤣 "Mommy, daddy said to do it like this so no one sees my privates!"

Another thing, when you go into the restroom at a gas station, lock the damn door. Last week I had to pee so I went and pushed open the restroom door and someone else was sitting there taking a shyt with the door unlocked. The toilet was right in front of the door. I just left the store and went somewhere else. Lock the damn door.
I never use restrooms at gas stations (I'd rather take a dump in the woods lol) but if I have to go in public (which I try very hard not to do) I always knock on the door before I go in or at least announce myself. You shouldn't have to, but there are idiots like you encountered who don't think a bathroom door in public should be locked.
Sometimes the lock don't work so you gotta holla hey now I'm in here on my mama godamn
That just happened to me at the doctor's office on Wednesday. Knocked on door, saw the vacant sign , opened the door, & there she is on the toilet wiping herself. She didn't say nuttin when I knocked. I said sorry & was out. Lock wasn't broken...brand new building. Locking could've saved embarrassment.

My dad did all the things you mentioned with my younger brothers. He also taught them to keep their shoes shined. Don't walk around with scuffed up shoes. He used to take them to the shoe shine man, who worked in the train stations in Philly, to get their shoes shined. Even tho my dad passed, my brothers still continue to keep their shoes up to this day. 👞🌟

I'm a girl and when I was little my mom taught me to line the seat with toilet paper in a public restroom. Did it this way all my life until I told my mom that's what I was doing. All growed up! She laughed and told me to squat over the bowl. I tried it once, peed all down my legs. Back to lining with toilet paper, that and my knees wont hold up now.
