Love how the exhaust doesn't have unnecessary pops/crackles on shifts. Too many new cars with it mapped in as standard and it sounds so artificial and forced.
Yup. My 991.1 Carrera has them in sport and I hate it. Especially when I shift hard 2-3 it lets of a huge backfire like the car is broken. Embarrassing.

The AWE sounds great, it has a more exotic note compared to the Dundon. Dundon sounds much more aggressive and refined however, I'm sure the stock headers are largely responsible for the differences detectible via video.

Matt, can you offer an explanation as to why the Dundin exhaust was yellowing the PPF, whereas other systems don't. Just curious as to what aspect of the Dundin is the cause...
It comes down to cats. Without cats, you'll get yellowing.

Matt, how would you compare this setup to the Brombacher side deletes with stock center? That's the setup I have now and there's too much resonance in low RPM transitions. Very "boomy"
The AWE removes the drone you get from side muffler delete. It's nastier and a quite a bit louder than what you have, but the tone is better with the drone being eliminated.
Do you have this on your 991.2 RS?

iPE is marketing junk. Dundon did hundreds and hundreds tests and iterations.
Why do the launch controls sound like that? It doesn’t sound bad at all, but it just sounds different than the others I’ve heard.
The 4.0 RS sounds different than the 3.8 GT3.
Sounds better than the previous setup. Plus you can make it quiet if you want. Was the Dundon valved?
Both are valved, but the GT3 doesn't have a quiet mode at any time except idle.

Your Launch Control sounds so different to mine. The "Bounce" has quite a long pause in it. Where as mine is like a machine gun, very short pauses. Why is that?

Sounds sick but personally I feel the Dundon had more of a scream and brought out the tone of the engine(obviously because hatless). Not sure if you've heard titaniums systems but the one from JCR sounds pretty legit. Crazy loud but it seems to maintain that super raw tone from the engine.
Anyone complaining about that exhaust note don't know sh!t. That was awesome!

Matt, I stand by my statement in the install video that I prefer the Dundon better, but I don’t dislike the AWE at all. Besides, what does my opinion matter - I’m still using the stock PSE on my C2S... On camera this has a lot of rasp vs what I remember hearing from your Dundon videos. One of these days I’ll take a ride up and hear it in person.

Setup sounds great. Little more high frequency resonance than the Dundon, sounds like. Not quite as nuts as a Kline Inconel system. Sounds ace. 👌🏼. Any drone?
Oh, and NA racing Flat 6’s are the best! Even the commentators during the LeMans race said the RSR’s were the best sounding cars.
It's actually much deeper than the Dundon. The Dundon is much higher pitched than the AWE. The AWE has a little more hollow sound, but they both sound great.
This white one is way better than the blue one, better exhaust setup.
Ugh, why can't I be rich like you and Adam? I want a Porsche so bad, specifically a 991.2 GT3 RS (Weissach edition, because carbon fiber...all of the carbon fiber. Lol.).

Sounds great Matt, but if you did indeed give up 30hp by losing the headers... That's a no-go , not worth it. If it's turning the bumper yellow, put some film on it.
Or just buy the new GT2 RS.

As the GT3 RS being one of my top dream cars that ill never own unless i win powerball, im in love with this video. Sounds just absolutely incredible. Ill admit, on the install video when you started it up the first time i wasnt sure about this AWE set up. It may just have been the camera's mic because in this video it sounds amazing.
So I’m guessing that developer ran out of money....
It's a big industrial complex that I've been coming to for years. I hope it stays that way!
Matt, how would you compare this to the sound of the stock exhaust traveling along at 80 mph? Everyone complains of the drone at this speed or in the 2000 to 2500 RPM range which I find as well with my Carrera S with stock exhaust.
Would you say that this is louder than stock at this speed but a better tone without the drone?
All in all I would say this sounds pretty sweet!
AWE is incredible. I was fortunate enough to visit their facility when I purchased an exhaust for my 1LE Camaro. They put a lot of time into their products and the result is top notch. This Porsche sounds perfect.

Sounds great. Any drone in the rpm band? This is essential a straight exhaust with no side mufflers or rear center. Wow!
That's what's amazing. There is no drone. I really, really like this exhaust. I'll explain in a driving video, but it's got a deeper tone especially on when rolling RPMs back to idle. Dundon Race has a lot more rasp. I think this or Dundon Street w/ Black Center Muffler are the best options.
This is going to be my new pre-sleep soundtrack.

Can't go wrong with AWE. Everything thing I've heard their systems on sound fantastic to my ears. Had them on my k04 GTI and now my 987 Cayman S. 👍
