Beautiful locomotive, from a manufacturer I never heard of, can't count the rivets because you won't keep the camera still! 😛 Take Care, and Happy Easter. 🐰🥚⛪
Hi Harold, thanks for the informative introduction to your layout and locomotives. I'm currently following the same path of converting my loft into a hobby train room 😊 I was surprised that you have stuck with DC set up and manual points. I am gearing up for the same setup as all my stock is older Dc and Dc ready when purchased mainly second hand! Carry on enjoying the model railway life! Kind regards Ian 👍
Great review, as I'm considering purchasing a Cavelex version. I've a Hornby 56 (super detailed version) which i think is great, the Cav seems to be equal if not better.
Hi John. Great update vlog buddy. I think hornby have uped their game. Not in the same league as Cavalex or Accurascale. Your 56 looks superb. Bit out of my financial reach though.☹ Brilliant weathering. You have some of my favourite locos there 66 and 37 and one of my most reliable and faithful the Bachmann class 20. Thanks for sharing John. DELPH JUNCTION (Pete)
Great video, John the 56 looks awesome, mate, and what a collection of models you have your weathering jobs look awesome 👌 where abouts did you work on the railway when you worked on the 56s?
Great review of the Cavalex 56 and i agree with your comments; it is very impressive and the crawl is excellent. Noted the issues reported but so far so good with the DCC sound version 🤞🤞
I agree with your comments regarding the doors. I spotted this too- Hornby 56 doors are far more realistic. Unfortunately after testing mine failed, horrid burning smell. Contacted rails and I await a replacement pcb. I have doubts that this will cure the problem , but will update you in due course
@@paulaynsley1382 I wouldn't say common but we have seen two previous examples, it was a component on the DC blanking plate that failed. The loco circuit board is perfectly fine.
Beautiful locos - sadly not my era - fingers crossed they aren’t like a certain manufacturer whose Class 37 received endless praise but sadly has proved to be issue prone 😵

I now have a replacement blanking plate and so far it is working well. I’m told the fans don’t operate if the loco is not dcc

Is yours the DC version?
Yes, DC, and Rails knew what the problem was; wonder if this is a common fault
Thank you for this update, I will keep an eye on my two variants...
