I take review of a 'Marmite' model a Hattons Original Class 66, which was outstanding when it was first released, then it had a few niggles and flaws, one was the awful "wobble' while running, I modify the model to stop it from ''wobbling' on the track, so if you have a Hattons Original Class 66 and it has this issue...watch this video for a quick and simple fix...(note...this fix requires remo...

Hi Does the dapol single arm semaphore come with a switch to operate like the 2 arm signal? Thanks
@@Kirbybellars no, it does not come with a switch...I simply bought a plunger switch off ebay...and wired the single arm signal to it
Great upbeat video keep it up much better than the ones with broom up there bottom well done mate .
Morning JB, had to watch this three times as could not stop laughing, many thanks for the mention again, another great video, interested in what you do with 66415 as I haven’t weathered mine yet, 37087 is starting to look good, just as a note I used a sharpie pen for my head code boxes, I want to donate, might have to send you a cheque with you class 60, keep up the good work, all the best.
Nice work JB on the DRS class 37. 👍 Colin.

Please please oh and please dont weather 415 Jonny boy its a limited edition and you do not weather or tamper with LE's a cardinal sin! You have been told .Otherwise enjoyed your review inc your wit ! Take care cheers Nick.
@@RedShedNick as its a model that stands for a charity (all comedy aside) its staying as a Ltd Ed model, I bought it to support the charity...and it will stay in its box..i have enough FL model class 66's...thanks for adding your comments 😀
Good on you and a pleasure John. .
I know something else ridged in that room 😮
Keep it pristine
Johnnie Boy is a foam perv, lol. The 10Ks aren't doing your muscles any good if you can't get your outer cover off you 66 JayBee, lol.
Lose the Bouncing Betty content. Lowers your credibility as a modeller
@@paulsimpson1423 it is a one off video with the toy, it wont be a regular thing.as I have to return it to its rightfull owner...it just just what I call a comedy 'skit'...the modelling aspect is more important...this video was just a bonus for January...
Ich komme here... I believe it translates to I come here. Happy to be corrected.
Oh and dont weather the loco.
Foam J.B has to take one for the team.
Good on you John, I'm ex military, & Ive been diagnosed with Ptsd, & it's the silent killer.
Great review on the Heljan 57 . Regarding the pre fitted details on the buffer beams i have 2 Heljan locos a 86 & 58 both came with attached buffer details. I found that on both these locos the hole buffer beams can be easily removed they are only held in place by a few pins, the 58 you need to raise the the cab slightly to remove and can be easily refitted . This method is fine if you don't mind not having visible buffers while running with a rake . 😊
Beautiful layout. Love the review. Got a couple of Accurascale 37 and they are lovely models.
A very happy new year to you John. Your videos are just so,so entertaining. Who doesn't just love some foam sniffing !! Yeah baby🤣🤣 Can't wait for your next vid. All the very best mate. Simon.😊😊😊
What an interesting and helpful video many thanks.
Really enjoyed the video. I had to pause it just a little way in as I was laughing so much I thought my pants would never dry. :) You get my vote for 'You Tuber of the year". Just send the tenner to the usual address.
I don't know what that foam is made of but your sure addicted to it think that's why you keep buying from that model company. Great model not got an accurascale yet but 37s are my favorite loco . PS don't be cruel to Dennis you'll get reported to someone you know what you tube is like .
@@peterwoodley7473 I personally think David at Roxley Models is putting something in that foam...its like catnip...plus he keeps sending me extra foam as well...Dennis was just being grumpy...I'm getting him a playmate in time for the next video, hopefully that will sort him out
I have had my body for sale now for 2 months...not a sniff. Never going to be able to afford an Accurascale. Would yer terkke a tenner fer the EWS.....? Thet inta EWS anyway....!
I like both Accurascale and Bachmann 37s .The Bachmann edges it for me as it is more rugged and I can be a tad heavy handed at times. Its horses for courses . I luv the comedy element in your vids .
@@GarthDavies-cd5oh thats very kind of you thank you 😊 🙏
Happy New Year to you. My golden rule is the rule of cool so you can run whatever takes your pleasure. It is your layout, your rules. My layout is a heritage layout so anything goes😂
HNY JB, Great weathering you have achieved your on your DRS loco’s. Reference 37,038 - rule one applies…
37038 only looks out of place because you've not done one of your great weathering jobs on it. Happy New Year.
@@adrian_cooney I think once I've done my dirty finger magic on it...it will look the dogs danglers
Just the kind of video we would expect from this years 'You Tuber of the Year'!Keep up the good work.We wouldn't want you any other way!👍🤣
I will never get 'you tuber' of the year as I'm just a child...no respecting manufacturer will ever take me seriously..but if there was a category for alternative model railway comedy TH-camr...i think I'd win hands down...to be honest my audience is more important to me than accolades
Great purchase JB i wish i had ordered class 37s everytime i had a bit too much, As for the DRS Class 37 you purchased rule 1 is always the way to go, i mean do every br steam model collector really know what was running on 3rd of februari 1956?✌️
Run anything! It dosent need to match! I run privatisation locos on my TMD but also 3 visiting Deltics in blue!
Don't worry about the new mike and being mute. It's new year, my resolution is to learn to read from lips. Problem solved.
Never heard a word 🤣
It's your train. and run what you want to !
What is better about the Bachmann 37 is when you have a Delux DCC model, is the tinted effect (very effective irridescent purple pink haze) windscreen. Accurascale does not have that feature. Seen in person such as my Bachmann 37175 in COLAS Rail, it is stunning. Only the delux models have this, not just the nromal DCC sound models; it has to have the SXF designated stock number.
@@waynemiller7382 I'm sure your Bachmann Class 37 is great, as I said it's my own personal view...and I also stated I'm a DC modeller and have no idea of what both Accurascale and Bachmann offer in DCC...i do not model in that power form, if the Bachmann DCC set up is better than Accurascale then fair play.....as long as you enjoy your model that's all that counts...thanks for your comments 😉
Happy New Year John hey it’s your railway you run what you like and weather the way you do great stuff
Happy new year JB, another great video mate, I turned my 038 into 087 black head code panels and named KWVR.
Thank you for this idea.....I may follow this lead and go for 087 as it was still in this livery in 2011...nearly my era...very much appreciated
I should have kept some photos of mine as I also distressed the Drs logos as well as adding the Stratford sparrow, the bonnet doors will need to painted black as well, got used on the GE a lot, so sad it was still in working order when it drove its self to be scrapped.
@@MarkHorsley-pk6vj I've ordered the new numbers and nameplates for 37087...so my drunken purchase won't be far out...thanks for the idea....and the gen..I will turn it into a project rather than a bad move on my part...
Look forward to seeing the finished project, one of my favourite tractors, if you get another 038 you could do 038 in that livery with the revised nose ends, which I think I have spares of.
@MarkHorsley-pk6vj thanks for this little project, I don't feel so bad now...at least this idea will actually work within my scale of operations...plus I can document the transformation for others to follow....so thank you 😊
Flap'tastic!! JB.... Foam sniffing turned up to no''11 !!.... Girth on that slab of foam MATRON!!??🎉 I have a Accurascale 37...drs ..very nice model ...but my fave is a Bachmann one in BR green from their last batch of 22 plux DCC sound ...the sound is the best 37 sound I've heard on a model... Yours in a Felcher' Helmet....JB

Good morning JB, had to watch this video twice as I was laughing so much, great point you made, as you well know it took me so long to fit the accurascale ploughs and had to in large some of the holes, have a great Christmas and happy new year, to you and your family, take care mate.
@@MarkHorsley-pk6vj I simply can't watch the Darth Vader part, as even I can't stop laughing and I bloody did it...how the hell I come up with these ideas is beyond me..but people seem to enjoy my alternative comedy delivery...all the very best mate to you and yours ❤️
