The one thing I loved about your dad was how he never parted without telling you that he loved you.
Your reflections on your dad are so special. Especially your thoughts on him calling you by your name. There is something so powerful in that. Made me stop and think about my dad who has been gone now for 40 years. He died when I was in college, but I can still hear his phone greeting of “Hey, Scooby!” Like it was yesterday. I love that nickname he had for me...

I lost my parents over 10 years ago. Mom was breast cancer that spread, dad was ALS 5 years after mom. I still have moments where I ball my eyes out. I love watching your Family.

Ah, Justin, you are right...it is not even just the firsts. My husband with his dad and me with my mom, now both gone, but all those instances of “I gotta call” then realizing you cannot. But, having your family will keep you busy as time moves and heals...
My dad actually died on Nov 3rd but it was 1993. Yes, Im old.It was hard at first when I couldn't call him for something exciting. Like a snow storm or the first mushrooms.
He's a good size calf! Looks like he's been eating well!

I want to tell you its gonna get better, and it will. But I lost my mom almost three years ago and I had a major breakdown yesterday because a smell made me think of a bad memory and the one that would understand me and comfort me was not around anymore to talk to, my mom. So that broke me. But, I hope and think she is watching over me in some way.

We call those camel crickets sprickets as they look like spiders but hop like crickets.
I personally think the key to cats and milk is that the milk is raw. better for them and better or us if we can get it.
