I wish I had you guys years ago,at 66 I can't do this but I love what you do so I live through you. I keep hoping my grandchildren would get interested but they can't put down their phones and games. 17 acres and no one to work it makes me sad. Thank you again ,you have such a beautiful,hardworking,productive family.
Just a thought....when re-loading the minerals...why don't you put the amount in a ziplock bag (labeled) and haul it up to the paddock? Sure would lighten the load of dragging those big heavy buckets around. Just keep the bags in the buckets. Love following you guys...farming is hard, hard work!

We’ve raised pigs a few times and I’ve learned so much from you! I had given up on raising pigs, but after watching you raise the pig port pigs and the forested pigs I’ve been inspired! So many ideas for better more doable ways to raise them! I need to invest in some of that Premier one fencing and start moving our animals around our property,

Are you considering a proper shelter for the wrestling boys' ring? I felt so sorry for them hearing that heavy rain in the background. I was thinking a proper roof and two sides on a corner so they can have shelter from the rain wind and snow. And for the sheep ladies maybe a single side or two for their shaw so they also can get out of the wind, rain and coming snow.
You need to make Sally uninviting to your kitties or they'll shred her seats with their claws. Happened to us unfortunately. Maybe you can lock her away where they can't get to her?

Do you check the sheeps feet for rot now they are full time on pasture since the grass is wet there is more chance of that, the luchadors dont have much protection from rain or snow.

LOL pigs not for This everyone (they are not kosher ;) ) but I celebrate every success and conquered hurdle you guys make and rejoice in you sharing your knowledge with "whosoever will." I have two cats as well and I have three small raised beds and I'm going to have a Simi large in ground garden in the spring. So how do you keep them from using your beds as a litter box. Mine like to poo and pee in mine. I always have a clean litter box in the house. So what do you do to prevent that..... Side note I love your family you have inspired me to grow as much as my food as possible. We are in the city and its hard but you and the Childers keep me going if they can do it i can. In the two years of growing our own chicken eggs and for a short time rabbit and a small part of our veggies I have cured my pcos and my hormone imbalance. Our goal in life is to farm the Rhodes way. Y'all are great and I thank you for everything yall do..... Prayers to your father we love seeing how good hes doing... God bless

Haha... it's not at all strange to eat tongue. It's always been eaten. Western culture is missing out so much by limiting their choices. Great to see that this might be changing. It's one of my favourites. The only real down-side is that, where once butchers would practically give pieces like this away, they're now becoming costly. One of my grass-fed beef providers still sells whole tongues for $5!!
