Gotta agree with your audio engineer Gregory about wearing headsets. We wear them to make sure the audio doesn’t have interference, feedback, unwanted background noise, pops, or other artifacts that appear in vocal audio recordings when speaking words with “p”, “s” and “t” in them. Having headsets on helps cancels out environmental noises so the engineer can listen for any issues and make adjustments on their mixing equipment/software - We look for inconsisenties in loudness or determine if it’s too soft, etc., all which only help ensure the broadcast sounds more professional. Bravo Gregory on doing a stellar job! ☝️
We are so spoiled In this country. We are actually complaining that at the rest stop the restaurant is closed on a Sunday. Pack some snacks in your car for the drive. As long as the bathroom is open be happy 😊

Respectfully, rest stops are more effective for long distance travellers (on interstates) if there are food options. Homemade foods are likely far healthier and I agree with you, but a spontaneous meal might be restorative. A contract for food concessions on a highway should be signed with it understood as open 7 days. I'd like to see 24 hour requirements as well.

I agree with your zero sum game to the bottom with left vs. right. I thought about your, “just register as an independent” and found it a very well thought out idea. It would definitely lessen primary power and force candidates to think outside the box rather than on party lines alone,etc. What a concept it would be to just hear what a person really thought about and stood for genuinely. Thanks for plugging back in political philosophy and always thinking and re-thinking things as facts arise. Get rid of the headphones if you are also vlogging with video. I'm a filmmaker and worked in broadcast TV, as well, and would have a third person monitor the sound if you are also on camera. You shouldn't expect the "quality" to change. Wear ear buds if you must, but headphones is convention not necessity!
As for the "free speech" with the Aaron Rodgers and Kimmel issue, I think it's wrong to just say anything and enforce others to have to defend something that isn't true. This whole allowance to say anythihig without rules is what is causing chaos in America and around the world, all in the defence of so-called free speech. How many countless cons have been allowed in defense of free speech that has cost people lives? This is what encourages people to distrust news sources and to become loyalists, instead. If anyone can say anything, then it's about choice since there is no consensus. Speech without adherance to a standard (that journalists once held) puts the honess on listeners to have to do homework, and most active people have lives to live and don't have time to fight. Whereas, I know many couch potatoes who hate what the world has done to them, absorbed in news and conspiracies, looking for someone to blame for their failures. So, when you get a con artist like Trump who learns he can take advantage of this, he does. Yet, we no longer have a source of news to rely on that's consistent across all channels. Yet, while we can somewhat trust the weather and sports reports, we cannot trust the news. Why? Because weather and sports have rules and consequences. Can you imagine if we had a controversial weather or sports channel where audiences get to choose the truth? How would sports fans feel if there was an alternative scoring channel? Or what if there was a alternate weather channel? "It's time to choose your weather!" There are rules and standards to sports games, right? So, why can't we have rules for speech? How is stating someone is on a pervert list that was not yet released be fair game when it can easily be absorbed by lazy listeners who are loyalists and can make people question yourself? That has one purpsose: to destroy a person. Not to share facts. Americans need to stop this madness by admitting their constitution is not perfect and that they need to update the constitution to modern standards--especially because it is going to be used to destroy America? There needs to be a new Boston Tea Party event that overthrows your old ways which is what made your forefathers invent America in the first place. If they knew we had the freedom to travel globally in such a short time period, the technology to communicate globally with motion picture and sound in an instant, how would they have addressed this in the constitution? You said the resistence of Aaron being kicked will make him more powerful. Why? Because of freedom to say anything without consequences allows them to.

I’ve always been extremely proud to be an American from the United States living in Spain even through the great embarrassment we call the Iraq war / George Bush Jr. one of the worst Presidents in our history. Although, since Trump and the divisive wedge he’s caused and manipulation pushed by Fox in the last 8 years has crushed my sense of pride at being American. Now when asked where I come from I say I’m from the US emphasizing just across the border from Canada to try to lighten the shame.😢

Have a podcast about how the two major parties control who gets nominated. That is, who we get to vote for - it's like Hong Kong, China says you can vote for any of these candidates. So along with this topic you can discuss election reform, i.e., term limits, Instant Runoff voting, also called Ranked Choice Voting, gerrymandering. See Maine and Alaska for real life examples of use. The case of Lisa Murkowski is particularly compelling as an example.
The reason why people wear headphones on podcasts is so that when others are talking you don’t talk over the person talking. Kinda like radio shows 📻 🎧
I play a lot of online video games and you have to wear a headset obviously to communicate with the people you’re playing games with but what people don’t realize you can hear your voice through the same headset and it actually helps you regulate how your voice sounds. It’s hard to explain, especially if you’re singing you want to be able to hear your voice headphones are the best way to do that. As far as people using them on podcasts I imagine it’s exactly the same reason.
These shows have a right to make their shows what they want them to be. Are you canceling me because you don't let me on your show? NO. It's because you want people on who will increase your viewership, not reduce it.

Hey Chris, this is my first time watching this show. Enjoyed it, was surprised at what seemed to be more nuanced views on Trump. I dislike Trump and the flare up of Maga on conservative youtube post Iowa caucus made me wanna take a break from that side of youtube uggh.
You put it a lot nicer than I would, the fact that Trump thinks he can just spew BS like Nickey Haley isn't an American goes to show the respect he has for his voters. The guy right now can do no wrong, he can say whatever the hell he wants cause he knows that his supporters are gonna back him. Btw I'd disagree with you saying the Republicans will protect their guy. The GOP protects Trump against Democrats. Since 2015 they have been acquiescing to Trumps existence in their party because of his popularity. But if they had the ability to get rid of him, they would've done it yesterday. I don't think its a coincidence that a governor and senator from South Carolina both somehow put their name in the race. The GOP is trying to nab South Carolina from Trump, it doesn't seem like its going to work though.
