Chris & Neil de Grasse Tyson, you made my day. It’s been a long time since I shared such a fun, though extremely serious conversation. Both your own backgrounds, both listening to each other’s unfolding points, rich exchanges, zero ego, casual & so enjoyable on our end. I thought I was too old to ever witness & appreciate such honest human’s friendly & free critical thinkers. THANK YOU TO BOTH.🇫🇷🇺🇸
5 min into this I had an emotional breakdown. On the subject of not knowing what is real I just want you to know, Chris, how much I appreciate you because I realized that I was sitting here with the luxury to absorb the conversation completely unguarded and without fear of ulterior motive or manipulation. It was such a freakin relief to have the freedom to occupy that headspace while listening it brought me to tears. Thank you for being you.

Multiple thoughts 1) social media is not the only culprit in the current environment of hostility... Jon Stewart said something a long time that caught my attention and that I totally agree with. The start of the 24 hour news channels/cycles started this mess. They need to keep us paying attention and what feeds that better than playing into fears, anger, opinions, whatever. Looking for the drama in everything to keep it 24 hour newsworthy... 2) electric cars- I just bought a new vehicle, I would be completely willing to buy electric if the vehicle that was practical to me was available and affordable. I bought a Santa Cruz because it's crossover functionality is perfect for my life. When that becomes available I'm all for going green. But like Neil said, it's about my own personal needs. I've talked about something similar with friends when discussing healthcare. I'm now saying hey let's consider govt funded healthcare because I am looking at how it affects my wallet. I have done the math repeatedly and on years when we aren't sick and don't have major incidents, I spend MORE total to have health insurance when you figure the cost of copays, deductibles, and the actual health insurance than if I had just paid for the visits out of pocket all year long. I don't care who also gets helped in the changeover to govt funded healthcare as long as I can go to any Drs when I need to and not see another bill for anything ever again, so hey, let's do some practice runs in some cities and see how it works out. So, if people start looking into, how could this actually be better or worse for me directly, there are some things they might really change their minds about. And that's how the electric vehicles are going to go... Once it becomes practical and affordable and beneficial for themselves, people will be on board
My dream come true: Chris please do more with this amazing mastermind! I had no idea you too knew each other so well! These issues should be discussed more often as far as how social media and AI are affecting our critical thinking and how we take in (and value) information…

WRONG. They're far from perfect. I've been a mechanic for over 20 years, and every year they get worse and worse. For example, they took a 20 dollar throttle cable and now it's fly by wire, like a plane. If it goes out, your power drops to almost zero and you go nowhere. All bc they decided to get rid of a 20 dollar part that hardly ever broke, and if it did was easy and cheap to replace. Now that fly by wire setup is 500 dollars or more smh.
