The ability to have everything in one location is what separates gamechanger from the rest of the field. I can keep score, I can send a message to the other parents, I can stream the games, and then i can check out spray charts. hopefully down the road they incorporate integrations with other streaming platforms like youtube

Gamechanger better streaming option
Thanks for all your videos, Jason. I really rely on you to get information for live-streaming. I’ve been using GC the past several years over the years my son has been traveling in baseball and now that he’s in high school I’ve added the live-streaming option to it and GC seems to have been the easiest to use but now I’d like to incorporate the YoloBox Pro to my arsenal but I don’t really see a conducive need to use it for baseball with my Mevo Multicam setup. What are your thoughts? I’ve used the YoloBox Pro this hockey season and it’s awesome but with baseball coming up I’m trying to start to get ready.
I’ll use the YBP for baseball on occasion (I have a 10x PTZ cam I’ll test this year with it), but not for my regular setup. Multicam still has that spot. Thanks Brad!
First time streaming. My grandsons just started travel ball. I'll be using a go pro hero 11 and streaming with game changer.

@@JasonHoffmanYT I'll update you on the hero 11 stream. I'll be using no battery inside with an external battery to power it to try and avoid the overheating issue. I also have a battery powered fan to help as well. I'll keep you posted on my success or failure lol
GC because that’s what the team uses. Group has been together since 8U. Now 13U. Change may be difficult. Can Mevo get an overlay to GC? Also, thanks for the 3D print. Looks awesome!

Honestly, I prefer iScore to GC for scoring. The stats are better and it is faster to score once you have learned the quick steps.

@@gravity69100 iscore is abandoned, but a lot of us still use it.
I've used both and prefer GC. We keep our streams private and only allow family members to watch. Because of the possible lagging, I save everything to the SD card and upload for our private FB page so family can rewatch if needed. May be a little extra effort, but quality is better bc the live recording does not lag. Plus, I just hit go live on GC amd don't have to worry about copying or pasting a link to FB. Just my opinion.

Jason, What would you suggest for a parent that wants to record/stream a game with the ultimate goal being going5 into the game and to clip out plays to create short video's of plays/players.
Sideline will generate these if the scorer scores offense and defense accurately.
The best image quality will be to pull the recorded video off the camera and manually edit, no matter which service you use.
Do you have to use iscore for the video clips or can I use the sideline score?

Can I score a game with the sideline score and have the mevo streaming app going at the same time or do I need two phones?
You can on an iPad with stage manager for certain. If you’re using the Mevo single cam app I think you can on a phone. The Multicam app has to stay on top or in stage manager.
I really want to use Sideline HD but am having pushback from some because they don't have FB or a Google account. Frustrating! Because of this I will be forced to use GC again this season.
So go pro or mevo are the only 2 caneras that work with streaming of game changer or sideline hd
I know you can you use a smartphone with Sideline. Not sure about GC. But any camera you can use to put their RTMP address in will work. Like in OBS you could use whatever camera you connect to a laptop.
I am actually using both because I like the game scheduling/who's coming calendar features in GC but not having direct access to your content is a turn off. For streaming and scoring I have turned to SLHD. Any other great options out there for team calendars with reminder and calendar syncing capabilities that are free?
Same we utilize both. GC for stats to turn in for All Stars with our tournament body, then SLHD for the streaming portion. I plug parents in to these roles - Paper book, GC, and Stream operator.
There seem to be a lot of you using both because of the same reasons you describe. If it makes it better for the kids 👍
TeamSnap can be an option for reminders, calendars, etc
Can I ask - what exactly did you mean by “direct access to your content”?
@@jkelly11785 SidelineHD allows you to directly record the footage to your device. In GameChanger the video is stored on their servers needing a coaches or paid fan account to view with in the app only. No download option in GameChanger.

Are you running scoreboard overlays for your streams?
@@JasonHoffmanYT yes Sir. I need customizable overlays and would pay handsomely for an API to feed either of their data in to my own overlays. Outside of that, both provide great services for the parent/coach streaming a game.

I'd like to try sideline hd but I can't even get past the entering a phone number it's not recognising my number as a valid phone number. Not sure if it's a outside USA issue. Tried entering our country area code as well to no success.
It likely is a location issue but I’ll reach out to their customer service rep and see if there’s a quick fix.
Looks like it won't work in Australia once entered a number it approved which wasn't mine. It still asks for a valid us zip code etc. Oh well...
If you have the ability to get a Google Voice number you can. The only thing holding you up is the ability to send you texts. She said they do have some Australian users.
