Nailed it! The sunny day, the bikes, the country fields, the architecture, the seasons. Who among us doesn't feel just a little bit better after watching these pastoral scenes. Since you live so close to the Harz, I would love to see more videos like this of your trips to the Harz, especially in the beautiful towns and villages with the story book Fachwerkerhaus. Americans do not know about this lovely area and skip right over it - maybe because Rick Steves, the American travel guru, never wrote about it in his books, just like he never wrote about Bamberg, another gem unknown to most Americans.
Love seeing your videos guys. It reminds me of my birth place, Bielefeld in the 50s. Since then have lived in Australia, but will never forget my childhood.
My wife is from a small village in the Spessart and it is premium bike country, at 50 I took my ever first bike ride, and never looked back, Rhine, Main, and over mountains into country like in your video, I can totally get it, age does not matter. On our next trip to Germany we are riding on a 5 day bike tour along the Tauber from wonderful Rottenburg...Deana talk to Phil about Rottenburg lol.
There is a place called Rottenburg, but it's on the Neckar, not the Tauber (plus another one in Lower Bavaria), so I guess you mean Rothenburg ob der Tauber with a "th". The Tauber valley is beautiful. Check out Gamburg castle and Bronnbach monastery south of Wertheim if you're riding that far.
Super, dieses Video war mal eine nette Abwechslung. Mir gefällt diese Gegend. Ich war mal auf Burg Bodenstein und habe von dort aus einige kl. Ausflüge gemacht. Lovely video! Duderstadt Rathaus reminds me of the Göttingen Rathaus. Beautiful! I studied in Göttingen during the summer of 1991, thirty years ago. I look forward to going back and taking my husband and kids to see this beautiful area. We were going to travel throughout Germany this summer... but travel plans had to be postponed. Please make more videos like this one showing the countryside and also images of Duderstadt and nearby towns and villages.
I love the countryside so much. I also absolutly prefere village over big city. It feels to me so much natural, when in a place the church is the tallest spot. I know its not possible for everyone to live in such places, because we wouldn't have that much space. But for me, in my very personal beliefe, this is "artgerechte Haltung".
Nice Video. When i was younger and had more time we made many hollyday trips with kajaks down the rivers. ie weser, werra, east frisia. combined with fishing and raiding cherry trees it was always good. :D
I miss the German country side and all the history. So many of us Americans don’t realize how “new” our history really is. In our town in northern Germany we had the Teufelsmoor and the Steden Grab dating back to the Neolithic age.
I'm from Northeim as well, and I'm loving to live here. There are also two towns of that name in the US. The one can be find at the western shore of Lake Michigan (belonging to Newton town), the other is located in Texas, spelled "Nordheim" - but because of its history I'm pretty sure, its name derives from our Lower Saxonian Northeim (the only one written with a "t").
We're becoming Wall-E. Oh dear, you're so right. Last time we rode our bikes (me with e-bike) I was just zipping along effortlessly on our hills (Bergisches Land) and my husband was way behind me working hard. It was that day I realized I don't want to be a Wall-E person so next time I'll turn down the power on the e-bike. You guys are so lucky to have bike trails all over - we have only a limited area we can safely ride in before we're on a 100kph Landstrasse. Eventually I want to put the bikes on a bus (how do you buy a bus ticket in Corona?) and get to one of the Trassen to go from Lennep to Leverkusen but even that will go by very quickly! Hey, I bought my horse from a dealer in Harz!
In the Harz Mountains there are a Village with the Name Hahnenklee. There is a Church made completely from Wooden! And the Area there is amazing. I was there, but it is years ago. I am from Baden-Württemberg, Black Forrest, and live at the Albtrauf. Near Albstadt, and love this Area too.
Yeah, the Hahnenklee area is awesome! I went there for the bikepark once. Lot's more to do there now! Never been to the Black Forest, but I guess we'll make it eventually. :)

The little church 3:10 is not that old. It dates back only to the late 19th century. Its architecture is neo-romanesque, not medieval. Perhaps consider bike riding along the river Weser from Münden to Hameln during springtime or summer (canoeing would also be an option). There are castles, 1000 year old churches (Corvey, 8th century AD!), medieval towns, palaces, even a traditional china factory and beautiful landscape.

@Deana and Phil Phil says, "Nice ride, my butt hurts." I worked at a bike shop in a tourist area. Every summer tourists would stop in to get their bikes worked on, compare us to their shop at home, or ask about scenic rides in the area. One day two guys in their 60s stopped in on their afternoon ride. They were asking about different rides other than the ones that had already done. One guys says to me "every time I go riding with him I end up with a sore butt!" My response was "hey, we don't want to hear about your sex life." The guy turned 50 shades of red and his friend was dying laughing. I'm on my 3rd e-bike, upgrading each time. I love my Bosch powered e-bike, it goes up to 45kph/28mph. I use it mostly for shopping and transportation, lots of fun.

@@daykibaran9668 that place looks really beautiful ! I want to visit there sometime.
@@heinekhalwin8735 Brunsvick was badly destroyed during the war. But a few spotlights of its former beauty are still left or reconstructed.
@@daykibaran9668 Did you already visit Königslutter, Wolfenbüttel or Helmstedt?
Make a video on Germany's National Holidays and holidays of area specific.
I am loving germany.🥺
Looks strikingly like central Ohio. It’s no wonder so many Germans settled in this region in Ohio. Beautiful.
How close is Hameln (Hamelin)
and Rinteln to you
These and the Weser region
might make interesting places to visit.
That is about one hour by car. The river Weser starts just at the western edge of the county they are living in.
