We got this Chicago Electric generator Item #66619 from an abandoned house. It had been 10 years since the owners lived in it. No idea how long before that that is generator had run.
This is an older model of the Tailgator and Stromcat generator. This one was sold by Harbor Freight and is rated at 800 watt / 900 watt max.
I'm hoping this will be a simple project but you never know with abandoned items.

I actually painted the markings on the black case. It’s easy to tell now

No, sorry. I just put Harbor Freight tailgater generator into Amazon and picked one that looked the same and had good reviews

Same here. I’ll buy their products. When they break I decide if it’s worth it to spend the money on a better brand or just replace it.

I’d check the spark plugs first to make sure you at least have spark. Check fuel to make sure you have good fuel and proper flow. (No restrictions)
