    One of the pictures of Pele's hair was just moss.
    Something most people don't know about moss is that even though it grows in the humid south, if you transport some to a dry area like southern California and mist it 3 times a day it will start growing white flowers.
    My aunt discovered this when she was feeling homesick for the south and asked my mother to gather moss and mail it to her. She decorated her atrium with it.
    BTW, moss does not grow white flowers in the south.

    When Matt said fairy circles I instantly thought of the mushrooms rings, but then remembered they’re called fairy rings, my bad

    • @alphagt62
      @alphagt62 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fairy rings, fairy circles? I’ve always heard the mushrooms were Fairy Circles. Which may have been a good addition to this video! I walked up on one in the forest when I was a kid, it was a near perfect circle about 6 feet wide, at that time I couldn’t imagine how such a thing could happen! No one knew until recently, but it’s a growth of mycelium below the surface, that only grows mushrooms at its edges. Medieval folks believed they were stools for fairies to sit on when they had meetings. Whatever fairies have to meet about?

    The Type 1's also carry Sulfuric Acid which can come in huge amounts from volcanic eruptions.. They are proposed to also have Nitric Acid and CIO which shouldn't form ozone depleting chemicals. The conditions have to be dry enough, cold enough, but not too cold, but can still form. But they rarely form where the ozone has been experiencing problems, namely in the Antarctic. But they are occurring more in the norther hemisphere, because with winds of the earth becoming greater, the stratosphere is cooling off. Information on these clouds and their supposed affect on ozone are very conflicting and do not take into consideration cosmic ray bombardment which break apart the compounds within the clouds and molecules in the atmosphere surrounding earth.
