I'm currently doing botany as part of my degree this year and I think it's so cool someone actually went to all the effort to make a somewhat accurate farming game. Also RCE, practice crop rotation it should result in you needing to use less fertilizer and keep soil quality up
If you look at soil info, the nutrition level of certain nutrients should be lower for plots where the same crop is grown continuously

The implements of the tractor could be better, the cultivator isn't used for digging op weeds and the hay baler isn't used to harvest cabbages. Pretty cool game tho

I totally agree! I mean if they wanted an anti-weed implement they could've added a herbicide sprayer or similar, a cultivator would rip up the crops!
(I suppose for potatoes, a tool similar to a cultivator would be used but it's spaced out much more)

Uhhh, actually a cultivator is indeed used for weed control in growing crops. Cultivators are a secondary tillage implement, use therefore being a finishing action after soil work, and as stated, cultivating the weeds out of the standing crop.
@@VenKando a cultivator would destroy the crops, my friend, instead a weeder makes sense, as they're built with gaps that allow the crops and roots to be untouched. No offense, but I don't believe you understand what a cultivator is. And before you bring up chain harrows or spike harrows, those would rip the leaves from carrots and destroy cabbages outright, learn the usage of a power-harrow, chain harrow and cultivator before you try to outsmart people.

Matt is that guy from mobile games ads: he is making a lot of mistakes on purpose so we will get this game to prove ourselves that we are not as bad as this guy.
With my superior observational powers I can confirm matt is an architect as he can't ever round off properly

Matt didn't round, he performed a floor function to the nearest thousand. He knows not to say that he has $9000 when he only has $8999.19. If something in the game were to cost $9000 he would not be able to purchase it.
If you had $8999.19 in your bank account, went to your bank and said, "I'd like to have my $9000 in cash please," you would not be walking out of the bank with $9k in money. They wouldn't round it up for you.

i havent watched the entire video yet, but the grid farming and the whole "orders" thing reminds me of my childhood game, 'farmlife' i used to play it with my mum when i was a wee lil' boi
Me, a Natural Resource Management and Horticulture Master's student: Plant the cabbages between the carrots, you won't have to weed as much, you absolute architect!
Of course if the game allowed that then RCE would have been better off by planting corn, beans, and a crop that spreads out, such as squash, together. These three (with the squash) are known as the "three sisters" and Native Americans have been planting them together for hundreds of years. The Iroquois have been using this combination since at least the 1300's. The corn stalks acts as a pole for the beans to climb, the beans provide Nitrogen to the soil, and the squash provides shade to deter weeds and traps moisture while its prickly vines deter pests. Cabbage could be used to take up space and the outer leaves will act to trap moisture in the soil and help prevent weeds.
Additionally, eating a meal with the three sisters together provides complete proteins.

Corn, like deer, can be used in the plural form of corns or deers if there are multiple kinds present. For instance if you had 3 types of corn in a field, you would say, I have 3 corns.

To get super technical in the grammar of it, "corn" is uncountable, meaning it doesn't *have* a pluralization. It's like flour, or water, or dirt. You can apply units to them (kernels of corn, ears of corn, grams of corn, etc), and those units can be plural, but corn itself cannot.
This is notwithstanding the use of the word "corn" to refer to the skin disorder, which is pluralized as "corns". It is also notwithstanding the same sort of video game logic that may prompt a Minecrafter to say "I have 12 dirt."

If you like this farming game maybe you wanna check out Farming Simulator 22. It offers tons if things to farm and take care of, and so much cool farming machinery, it's dizzying! Definetely enough in that game for a whole series of videos. Most importantly, there are many bridges for railway, traffic and pedestrians!

I dont think "RCE" is either. He arrogantly calls Dollars, "quid". Made sense back in CS vids cause that was its own symbol, just like in Sims games, the currency is Simoleons. THIS game CLEARLY expresses "$" which means DOLLAR sign, NOT pound (quid) sign. Its self-centered, and ignorant to a world outside his own. And, if he REALLY was an ACTUAL engineer, he would take HEED WHAT symbols mean WHAT, otherwise whats to stop him from MISIDENTIFYING and "Electrical Surge" symbol from a "Current Display" symbol if he CANNOT distinguish Dollars from Pounds 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

I just realized something from your highway video on city skylines 2, when you're in the menu where you're purchasing a plot, you're able to see the plots that are already purchased via very faint light gray looking lines, you can use those for if you do attempt more challenges based off of plots or grids (such as natural disasters)
